I have a HP dv4-1540us i can't connect my bose sound link with blue tooth. is my pc capable? I'm using windows 7 . I have the bose looking for blue tooth and windoes looking for blue tooth and theynwont connect.

I have HP Envy 15-171nr notebook pc installed with Windows 8.1 pro. Since past 2 to 3 days I was not able to connect my mobile phone to the laptop through bluetooth. So I removed my phone from the paired device and again tried to pair it with my laptop, but I couldn't pair it. So I tried to reinstall the bluetooth driver from HP Recovery Manager. It was notified that the installation was successful but after that there is no bluetooth icon the PC Settings where I can switch on/off bluetooth. There is no bluetooth icon in the Device Manager as well.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy HP Envy m6 laptop cannot connect to our wifi connection and only connects using the cable connection, ethernet.
It was still fine when I downloaded windows 8.1 but all of a sudden displays limited/no connectivity. I tried everything I can including resetting tcp ip settings thru command prompt, finding other drivers till someone suggested me to put my laptop back to windows 8. Still didn't fix the problem. Now, my laptop does not access wifi nor detect any wireless connection whether our home wifi, or others.
When I connect ethernet cable to my Envy 15 j150us laptop the upper one of two led indicators which is link indicator never lights up, however second led that is activity indicator is blinking and internet connection works fine.

URL...I can't connect with internet using LAN (cable) and device manager shows yellow sign and asks to install driver for ethernet controller. View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to connect my notebook XPS 16 to connect to my Nokia E71 via bluetooth. I have installed Nokia PC Suite successfully latest version for WIN 7 x64.
Using a cable I am able to connect my phone with my laptop. But unable to connect to laptop using bluetooth. My laptop is able to find the phone and shows me in the list, but cant connect.
I gave it a whirl and it works like a charm here in France using Orange.
Here's the speed test results.
I had some trouble getting my iphone to connect via bluetooth to my mb, so this test was done via usb.
Will work out the bluetooth problem later, but for now its a nice backup for when no wi-fi is about.
No hacking/jailbreaking is required, yet I'm not quite sure how legal it all is so if the mods find this topic out of order feel free to delete.
This is regarding hp 15-r007tx..I cant connect to the WiFi network . I can only use wired connection. Also the wifi button is permanently off(orange colour). No matter how many times I press its the same and wont detect wifi. Is it hardware or driver problem.

All of my other HP laptops connect to this phone with no problem, but the G6 will not connect to the internet through the phone with cable, wifi or bluetooth. The G6 recognizes the phone and shows it in "unspecified devices". I have tried everything to get it to connect without success.

i own a Pavilion dv7-6c90el that i updated at windows 8 two weeks ago. Every week a problem occure: my pc can't connect to any wifi, and i can't disable the wifi card, it doesn't respond, so i have to switch off many times the pc until it begins to work again (after many times you can enter in connection menu and disable the card and then switch on it other time and then works). i suppose is a driver problem (with windows 7 this problem never appeared).

View 4 Replies View RelatedI own an HP Envy dv6 Notebook PC, MOdel No.2CE243OCYT. It has an Atheros AR9485 802.11 b:g:n WiFi adapter. There is an HP update for that adapter, but when I updated it, I was unable to connect to the internet. I realize that this WiFi adapter is only for 2.5G. I had to refresh my laptop, then I had internet access again. I have not tried that driver update again, but TWC just updated my Cable modem to dual band using the 2.5G and 5G bands.I am afraid to install the Atheros update in my lapotop again because I don't want to go though the hassle of re-installing all my software pd[rograms again.Is there a dual band WiFi adapter that HP recommends, and is it easy to install?

I recently got a new Cisco Linksys E1500 wireless router, which is connected to my home computer. My laptop shows that it is connected to the home network, but it will not connect to the internet. Other laptops in the house are able to connect to the network and the internet. Mine seems to be the only one not working. Why isn't it working? What do I need to do to fix it?
I've run network diagnostics. It says "A problem with you network router or broadband modem might be preventing an internet connection." I've unplugged both of these and tried again. It didn't work! I've also connected my laptop straight to the modem and it still didn't connect to the internet. I've tried resetting the network adapter. My IP settings are set to automatic.
My internet connection wasn't a problem before last week (when I got a new router).
I deleted HP_TOOLs while formatting,and i can't find my cd which has drivers and i tried to install these drivers:
Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter
Atheros 2011 Wireless LAN Driver
Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver
Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows
But I still cant even connect with cable, I tried to install HP Quickweb too but it said HP_Tools is deleted so you cant install this etc....
I have a Pavilion dm4-2165dx with Windows 7 64 bit. I have not made any changes to the laptop or the network. All of a sudden today I could not connect to my home wireless connection eventhough all of the other machines in my house can still connect without a problem.
My wireless connection light is on and it is blue. I can still connect to the internet through wired ethernet into my router.
I tried a windows roll back and that didn't work either. The wireless drivers that are listed in device manager are:

I have been dealing with this for a while now, and it just happened out of no where. I turned on my computer one morning and it wouldnt allow me to connect to my wifi. I have tried EVERYTHING. My computer does allow me to connect an ethernet cord to it and the router and use the internet that way. I know it's not the router because I use the internet on my iPhone and tablet. When I attempt to connect to internet it has a red X where the wireless icon used to be, now the icon looks like a computer screen instead the the little bars. When I tap my wireless button on my key pad a message comes up and notifies me that i just turned my wireless connection off, but no matter if it's off or on that little button always has the orange light on. I can't figure out whats going on

After using it for a week, I noticed that it doesn't connect automatically to wifi, and sometimes you have to wait a little longer (probably an hour) for it to connect successfully to a wifi. And if ever it gets connected, the internet access says "limited". I brought it to a servcie center, they changed the wifi card, and then I guess after using it for more than a week, the same problem occured. This is a big inconvenience on my part.

I had to upgrade my system to Window 7 Ultimate, the laptop came with regular Windows 7.
I updated all drivers and everything else works perfect except for that I cannot connect to any wireless network. No matter how close I am to a network the computer does not recognize it.
Then I finally noticed the wireless button on the keyboard being red and no matter what I do, I cannot get it to go off.
Also just noticed in Device managers a few "!" next to some items
PCI Device is not installed
Network Controller is not installed
I have a new HP EliteBook Folio 1040 G1 running Windows 7 64 bit. The computer can see wireless networks, but when I try to connect to them I get a pop up saying "Wireless: assocaiting" followed by one saying "Wireless: disconnected" and the connection never works. This happens no matter which wireless network I connect to. I know the networks and passwords are correct, because both my iPad and phone can connect to them without issues.
I have updated all drivers via Windows Update and also the SP Support Assistant. I have tried uninstalling the wireless driver and allowing Windows to discover and install from scratch. Nothing seems to work.
My computer crashed and i had to restore it to factory settings. I then successfully connected it to the internet but now it wont.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI was happily connecting to my home wifi yesterday evening before my HP Pavilion g7 notebook updated to windows 8.1. Now I can only connect via ethernet cable.
I phoned Microsoft Support and was told that my wifi driver was out of date and that this needs to reinstalled. I have had a look at available downloads for network drivers but I am unsure how to establish which one I need.... there are 4 options.
Under Device Manager > Network Adapters, there was only one driver which needed update according to this. The Realtek PCle FE Family Controller. When I checked for updates here is said that it had updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.
I can't get my presario c700 to connect to the internet. only get local connection. I have tried using compaq's website, microsoft, and atheros website. Nothing is working. I've downloaded a bunch of different drivers. I've found multiple forums with links to drivers that worked, but when I click on them they can't be found. Getting extremely frustrated. All of my other devices connect fully so I know its not my router.
