Sep 2, 2014I own a Acer Aspire V5 laptop and noticed a problem with the delete key recently while I was using Microsoft Office Word. Whenever I pressed the delete key it wouldn't delete what I selected and instead opened up the Key Tips in the ribbon. After having my son look at it he couldn't figure out the problem as well, but he noticed that the Delete key was functioning in the same as the Alt key. How to get delete key working correctly again?

Sep 3, 2014My Hp Laptop has gone through a serious problem. Its Spacebar,Enter,Delete,up and down Arrow keys have stopped working . I am not sure how this problem caused . So i gone through varios fixes, that were -
1. Rstoring to an earliar date.
2. Re-installling Keyboard driver
3. Formating the System.
The third fix Formatting worked and my keys started working . After some day I installed a software HP Network Manager but this after installing it again those keys stopped working and also the LED lights on Caps Lock and Wi- fi are not turning on but these two are functioning normally. the some of the information related my HP laptop are-

May 16, 2009I had bought this laptop yesterday from Costco, it was pretty cheap and I loved the num pad. My problem with it is of course, Vista. I tried to run Fallout 3 on it and it only ran on Low Settings and was just unplayable with how jerky it was. I was thinking it might be better if I were running XP, at least getting me Medium settings. Anyone have this laptop or does anyone know where I could find a list of components to see if I can actually get drivers. Only a few show up on hp.com and I've already returned the laptop instead of just trying it. I should mention I know I didnt buy a gaming laptop, I just want to run a few games.

Sep 1, 2014recently installed an automatic update to windows 8.1. Now I get a black screen after the welcome page. I can load task manager and get to the internet. tried to get to safe mode at startup with f8 but several attempts were unsuccessful. I updated my graphics driver from AMD today and same black screen appears. I also restored sytem to an earlier date using the HP utility with same results - black screen after welcome page.

Everything in hardware diagnostics indicates that everything is functioning...but it will not connect to our home network. I have troubleshot the wireless system...and everything on the router is working normally. When I try to connect to the wireless network, the computer tries to connect, but eventfully just says it cannot connect.

Mar 7, 2009After some problems with software, I did a clean install of Vista Ultimate 64bit. I copied the Swsetup folder and used those drivers, downloaded some newer ones and some applications from official HP site.
It works all great, except the two QuickLaunch buttons: for Qmenu and WLAN. Nothing happens if I pressed them. They don't even blink! But the others work just fine - even the Fn keys.
I've tried reinstalling the QLB application and drivers for a dozen times with no change.

Dec 17, 2014the two buttons to control brightness worked fine before I uninstalled the default graphics driver. Now, when I press it I still get the GUI slider, but the brightness does not change. Jan 28, 2014The touch sensitive media buttons above the keyboard on my Studio XPS 1647 stopped working the other day. When I tried to turn my laptop back on the computer beeped a few times and the screen flashed a few solid colors and then went black. I had to turn the laptop off and on again and it booted as normal except the media buttons stopped working. They do not light up or respond to touch.
I have restarted the laptop, updated the Dell QuickSet drivers and the BIOS and nothing has fixed it. According to this post the media buttons need to be replaced. How can I do that and where can I buy the parts needed?

Nov 23, 2014My touchpad doesn't work but the buttons are working fine. It also clicks randomly (not with the left or right mouse buttons) so I have to disable it. I have installed the latest version of the Synaptic driver and the problem still persists. I think only the touchpad is having a problem because when I use a wireless mouse, it works fine.

In my current power management settings, the W540 is suppose to enter sleep mode by pressing Fn4 or by pressing the round power button shortly. However, either one of these methods do not work.
My computer does enter sleep mode when usign the Windows start menu (Start->Shut Down -> Sleep).

Dec 20, 2013I recently bought a Lenovo G505s about a month ago. Everything is fine with it until i downloaded Steam and downloaded some games. 3 of the games i downloaded are shooters and therefore require the left mouse button. But when i click it to shoot, it doesn't respond sometimes and is very laggy. This is not the fault of the game as i tried it in different ones but the problem is still there. i tried to switch round the buttons (so that the right button is to shoot and the left to aim) and it works fine...

WIndows 8.1
Also the buttons and trackpad work completely fine with everything else except games including Minecraft. it seems that when i am moving with WASD the button doesn't work but the right click button does.

Sep 18, 2014I have an HP Envy Ultrabook 4-1130us and the F6, F7, and F8 buttons aren't working as command controls for music anymore. All my other F1-F12 buttons work except those three. This has happened before and I thought it was due to iTunes not being updated. I updated iTunes and the buttons still aren't working. I ran a diagnostic test on my keyboard and the test says that nothing is wrong-which is partially true because every other button except F6, F7, and F8 are working.
