I am using pavilion 15-N 259tx windows 8.1 64 bit. I would like to know if there is any way to easily access / turn my bluetooth ON rather than going to 'pc & devices" and then turning the bluetooth ON.
there is no physical button to turn bluetooth but only the airplane mode... common guys, no one really uses airplane mode daily but bluetooth.
This guide is made based on an Acer Aspire 5315, but will probably work on other machines with a hidden eisa rescue partition.
This is for everyone who has got problems unhiding and accessing the hidden rescue partition, and have tried all the methods with d2d disabling and changing partition type, perhaps with partedit32 or ptedit32, only to find out that nothing has happened after rebooting.
Download and install "Diskpart" from Microsoft, a small but powerful textbased utility, the link below is a direct download:

Here's the step by step to succeed...
Press "win + r" to bring up the run window
Type: "cmd", to bring up the command window
Type: "diskpart", a new command window pops up with a "Diskpart >" prompt
Type: "rescan", a configuration check runs
Type: "list disk", a list of the availible disks appears
Type: "select disk 0", if your hidden partition resides on that disk of course
Type: "list partition", to find out with partition is your hidden one (probably about 10 gb and without name).......................
hp pavilion DV6929WM , this model doesnt come with a bluetooth, i would like to know, is it easy to put a blutooth inside? because really i dont like this kind of externals adapters, and i know hp pavilion some models has bluetooth, is it easy to install?

I can pair to the device in Windows 8.1, but bluetooth 4 doesn't seem available via C/C++. If I call the Microsoft function BluetoothIsVersionAvailable(), it only succeeds for at most bluetooth 2.1. Why?
I suspect this is more a configuration/driver issue than a programming one. Is there a better driver I need to install to bring this laptop's bluetooth spec up to full Bluetooth 4 support?

I used to be able to reinstall the driver and get it working again, however lately nothing works. I have installed sp59632, 58515, 64041, 58944, and 64825 and none are working. My computer does not even show the option to turn the bluetooth on from the pc settings menu. I actually got it working once -can't remember where the driver came from--and then hp pushed out a new ralink driver and it's not worked since even though i've tried several things, including direct download from mediatek. I have Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter and just need a driver that will work. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an HP Pavilion 17 e049wm Notebook PC, model: E0J75UA.Long story short my laptop no longer gives me an option to connect to the internet through my wireless router. It only gives me the option to connect through an Ethernet cable. If I click on the networks icon it says No connections are available. If I go to the network and sharing center and try to set up a network, it will never detect my router. The wifi icon reminds orange, despite airplane mode being off. If I type wireless in the search bar in the start menu, one option is to change wifi settings. From there it only gives me the option to add VPN connection.(?)Another option is to change wireless device settings yet it doesn't detect any. I tried doing a system restore to a save point where the internet was working,'didn't work. I know it's not my router as all other devices, phones, tablets,ps3 and other computers are working just fine. I did try though resting the router.

My problem is that when I turn off the computer and turn it back on, there is no (esc) option to open bios menu or any option for that matter. Just a blue HP symble directly in the middle of the screen with a small loading symbol below it. I have pressed esc, f1-f10, and pretty much every other key to try to access it. All I really want to do is disable the most annoying f1-f12 function keys.
I am no longer under warranty and my operating system is Windows 8. There are also no error messages at all, just no response to anything just loads up to the password login screen.

It will not display anything other than a set pattern of rotating block colors -it goes from red to blue to green to a shadow sort of grey with vertical lines, each lasting about ten seconds, than repeating over and over. You can hear the computer starting up, and you can get it to the start page by knowing when to press enter and when to scan your fingerprint; this is as far as I can get without seeing. I've had the problem for about two months; the unfortunate thing is after about a week, I decided to hook up a external monitor to it, and got a full picture, with everything but the screen display working great. Unfortunately, in excited haste, I decided it had to be a graphics driver issue, which would just mean an update or a completely new set of drivers. Great. But I accidentally deleted the drivers I had before I uploaded new ones, and the external screen I was using went blank.
