New HP Pavilion 15-p067ca notebook. Strong echo when the other person is listening to me on Skype. I have watched HP troubleshooting video and tried all suggestions. I also hear the stong echoy sounds when I turn on the listening in the sound control box.I am about to return the laptop before the 14 days runs out , but thought i would check here.
View 3 RepliesWhen listeing to music using headphones/earphone the sound effects are terrible it echoes, off-pitches.It happens both while listeing youtube videos and while listeing to music/videos stored on my system. I don't remeber if i made any configuration changes in the SOUND setting from the control panel. But I cannot reset it to normal.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a product that works better with an external micorphone headset. This was my first time ever using one with my laptop. When I went through the set up process, the microphone was not picking up any sound and I could not hear anything through the external headset. I tried using both the microphone and headset port as well as different headsets with the same result. The headsets work fine on other devices. When I use just a plain headset connected through the headset port, I can hear just fine.
I went to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound>Manage Audio Devices to troubleshoot, but nothing worked. I tryed updating the latest drivers and was told the latest are already installed.

I'm using HP Pavillion dv6 1330-er. The problem is - both my mic and webcam mic were working fine untill yesterday's morning. The evening before i was talking with my friend on skype and then gone to sleep. When i woke up - both mic input and webcam mic weren't working. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 ... Nothing like this happened before.
Webcam video itself working fine. Headphones working fine.Tried to reinstall driver - didnt work. Laptop was resting on the table, just like i left it in the evening. Have 2 different windows installed on my laptop (the another one is windows XP, not a single program installed, just drivers) - mics aren't working.
The same mic on different PC working fine.The system detects both headphones mic and webcam mic and the system shows when i'm taking headphones' mic in and out.
I have a HP ENVY 17 Notebook PC (product number: GOU21AV) and my microphone will not work on skype or at all. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio driver, everything says i should ave the IDT HD audio driver but it ony lets me downoad the Realtek audio driver. I tried plugging in a mirophone and setting it as the default and messing with the levels of the microphone, still not working.

I recorded my own voice, and played it back, both through Skype and Windows Media. There is indeed a problem. My laptop is approx. 5 months old. The driver is Realtek HD Audio 8101E/8168/8169NDIS 6.30. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it. No difference.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an HP Envy 14-1111 nr notebook with Windows 7, and I have always had problems with microphones working. I plug in my headset and put the plugs into the correct ports, including putting the Mic plug into the port with a picture of a headset/mic. I also put the audio plug into the correct port.
The audio always works fine- I can hear things properly coming from the headphones. But the mic NEVER WORKS. I've made sure that the mic is enabled, and I've set the headset mic as the default recording device, and made sure it's not muted, and even tried like 3 different types of headsets, but it still doesn't work.
My computer recognizes that my headset has a mic when I plug it in, because the independent headset microphone pops up on my recording devices. But no matter how much noise I make into the mic, my computer doesn't recognize any of it. It is basically saying that it can't detect any sound from the mic.
I wanted to just mute or check off the microphone on my laptop (the one that comes automatically installed on the laptop), only "Disable" made it completely go away. I don't even know what microphone it was. How can I get it back? Anything I can just download online?

I am having problems with the internal microphone located at the top of the display on the HP G60 notebook PC, pre-loaded with the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system. All OS, PC drivers and system ROM have been updated to current.
The sound it produces is at best barely audible or usually completely inaudible. This is true when I use the internal Sound Recorder app as well as when I try to utilize Windows Live and Skype for either audio or video calls. The fact it behaves this way using Sound Recorder proves it has nothing to do with firewalls or internet latency. Also, I can hear and see the people I'm trying to communicate with just fine.
I first noticed the problem on an HP G60t system I purchased from hpshopping.com in early December 2009, which was a custom build and shipped to me. I opened a case with support and they told me I would have to ship it back for repair or I could just return it. I returned it.
Figuring I was just unlucky enough to get a bad system, I then went to Best Buy in late December 2009 and bought a second HP G60, this time a G60-535DX, which was similarly configured. Guess what? The exact same problem.
I have been researching these HP support forums and the customer reviews posted at bestbuy.com for the HP G60. It seems many people are having the exact same problems. I have tried all of the suggestions I have found, including the following, but nothing changes the fact the microphone quality on two HP G60 notebooks purchased from separate retail outlets / inventories is extremely poor and essentially non functional.

I have no audio. It has been previously working, but suddenly stopped. On the small speaker icon there is a red cross indicating "No Audio Output Device is enabled" When I log on to the computer i get a window that says "CWindowsSystem32AUDIOSES.DLL is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error."

I have a HP Pavilion G6-2252sa Notebook running Windows 8 and I have just installed 8.1. All is OK, except the equalizer function in Dolby Advanced Audio V2 is no longer working. You can still move the equalizer sliders but the actual sound quality remains the same. It just sounds flat as if all sliders are permanently set at zero.

I have an HP Pavillion g6 and the sound is not working at all. I tried troubleshooting the audio playback and then it started working. Then i realized only the system sounds started working.
When i play a video or any audio on my browser (Google Chrome and Internet Explorer) it does not work, but when i play a video/audio downloaded onto the pc, it works. Why is that?
