i want to hear microphone thorough speaker, i using hp pavilion dv4 notebook MICROPHONE( panasonic karaoke dynamic microphone). i had tried all possible setting like recording,sound etc. , but same microphone is working on pavillion dv6 ntbook.........
View 6 RepliesI recently bought a product that works better with an external micorphone headset. This was my first time ever using one with my laptop. When I went through the set up process, the microphone was not picking up any sound and I could not hear anything through the external headset. I tried using both the microphone and headset port as well as different headsets with the same result. The headsets work fine on other devices. When I use just a plain headset connected through the headset port, I can hear just fine.
I went to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound>Manage Audio Devices to troubleshoot, but nothing worked. I tryed updating the latest drivers and was told the latest are already installed.

I'm using HP Pavillion dv6 1330-er. The problem is - both my mic and webcam mic were working fine untill yesterday's morning. The evening before i was talking with my friend on skype and then gone to sleep. When i woke up - both mic input and webcam mic weren't working. I am using Windows 7 Ultimate x64 ... Nothing like this happened before.
Webcam video itself working fine. Headphones working fine.Tried to reinstall driver - didnt work. Laptop was resting on the table, just like i left it in the evening. Have 2 different windows installed on my laptop (the another one is windows XP, not a single program installed, just drivers) - mics aren't working.
The same mic on different PC working fine.The system detects both headphones mic and webcam mic and the system shows when i'm taking headphones' mic in and out.
The sound on my HP Pavilion G6-1a19wm is not working. Sound "does" work when using the audio jack with external speakers. I have tried uninstalling the driver, updating the driver, microsoft fix-it, and troublshooting steps. audio device shows in device manager and is supposedly working properly, mute is "not' enabled. visually all audio related things suggest that the audio is fine and troubleshooting finds no problems..

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio driver, everything says i should ave the IDT HD audio driver but it ony lets me downoad the Realtek audio driver. I tried plugging in a mirophone and setting it as the default and messing with the levels of the microphone, still not working.

All is OK, except the equalizer function in Dolby Advanced Audio V2 is no longer working. You can still move the equalizer sliders but the actual sound quality remains the same. The in-built microphone is dreadful, and I recently bought a microphone. I thought every laptop nowadays had an input for microphones. The AA e1-522 doesn't, or am I missing something? Why remove it in the first place...?
How do I switch between internal and external microphone? I have Z500 with one connector for headphones and microphone; when I connect an external microphone there, it's ignored and recording is done automatically from the internal microphone.

I recorded my own voice, and played it back, both through Skype and Windows Media. There is indeed a problem. My laptop is approx. 5 months old. The driver is Realtek HD Audio 8101E/8168/8169NDIS 6.30. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it. No difference.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an HP Envy 14-1111 nr notebook with Windows 7, and I have always had problems with microphones working. I plug in my headset and put the plugs into the correct ports, including putting the Mic plug into the port with a picture of a headset/mic. I also put the audio plug into the correct port.
The audio always works fine- I can hear things properly coming from the headphones. But the mic NEVER WORKS. I've made sure that the mic is enabled, and I've set the headset mic as the default recording device, and made sure it's not muted, and even tried like 3 different types of headsets, but it still doesn't work.
My computer recognizes that my headset has a mic when I plug it in, because the independent headset microphone pops up on my recording devices. But no matter how much noise I make into the mic, my computer doesn't recognize any of it. It is basically saying that it can't detect any sound from the mic.

The left side speaker (Only the left side) of my laptop is working intermetently. Sometimes it's working, sometimes not. When I tried to tap hard the laptop near the left speaker, sometimes it work but a crackling sound or not clear sound is coming. Should I replace the speaker or a wire inside is loose?
sometimes i switch on the computer and the speakers are not working but upon restarting they start functioning normally....when i enter the control panel and try to test the speakers an error shows which is as follows:
"this device is being used by another application. close any devices that are playing audio to this device and try again"
I have a HP Pavilion g6-2210sa, product number is C6S45EA#ABU Volume occasionally works fine, but mostly does not. It sometimes works when I turn laptop on and then after a few minutes it doesn't work. If I restart, it sometimes starts working again but mostly does not. I have followed HP instructions for audio problems on this website however I cannot seem to fix this.
