HP Pavilion 17-f114dx Display :: No Desktop After Boot Up And Log In

I have owned my new HP Pavilion 17 17-f114dx for only a month and it has worked great up to today. Â When I start it, it now takes slightly longer to boot up and log in. Â When I log in, I should see my desktop, but instead, I get a blank screen. Â I am able to see my cursor. Â I pressed control alt delete to see if anything looked abnormal and I am able to get to my task manager. Â Things looked fine to me. Â I am also able to right click a process and select "show location in folder" by doing this, it does bring up the folder. Â I can navigate to my internet browser from there, and still get online to post this, but my desktop is not there.Â
I have not installed any new hardware. Â The only software changes that I made were an installation of a game and I tried to update my version of Adobe Flash Player which was unsuccessful for some reason. I have tried doing a hard reset twice with no luck and also tried plugging it into my TV and nothing has worked.
I'm having trouble with HP pavilion TouchSmart 14 . My computer turns on and allows me to log in to my to log into my profile but from then on it doesn't allow me to go to my desktop it's just blank
I have the Pavilion g7-2235dx with Windows 8.1 operating system. Nearly every automatic update messes up my ability to get on the internet. The only way I can connect is to uninstall all of the updates. The icons on my desktop also stopped working. When I click on them, it goes right back to desktop. Can't pin them to the taskbar either. The ones on the taskbar won't open by clicking on them either. Have to right click and tell it to open. Also problem getting my Norton anti-virus to open. Says it working but can't open it.
I've bought the Pavilion 17 - f002sm, and instaled Windows 8.1 on it... and now when ever i boot the computer, the device manager says the display driver has stoped because it reports an error (code 43)..I've downloaded the driver from this site i had this error, and from the AMD site it had the same problem... the graphic card is AMD RADEON R7 M260.... in the device manager i have a anothe display driver - Microsoft Basic display adapter, i thik these two are in conflict... And one more question, is it possible to instal windows 7 to this notebook?!
I have an HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15 (Model: 15-b022es) in which i'm tryig to install Linux. Since the day I bought it, I've been unable to boot anything directly through USB. I've searched a lot on this topic, and the usual causes are Boot devices order, Secure boot or Legacy Support options. That is certainly not the case, since I have tried all possible combinations. In fact, the exact symptoms that my laptop exhibits aren't described anywhere I've found. This being: Â If I insert an USB drive in any port of the laptop, it renders the computer completely unable to boot. It's not that it freezes, it restarts again and again, but never goes beyound a black screen and making some HDD sounds (usual boot up sounds, nothing weird). Within this state, with the USB still inserted, I can access the BIOS configuration by pressing F10, but can not access boot devices menu (usually available at F9), because pressing F9 will just cause a new reboot. Â In the past I accessed the boot menu by not inserting any USB and then pressing F9, then I entered the USB, entered and left some random folder to force refresh the display (and so show the USB), and finally selected my USB. This is a bit hacky, and I can no longer apply this solution, since my HDD is completely erased now and there is no folder I can enter to refresh the screen and display the usb drive. Â Now the thing is: I can't manage to install any operating system back into my laptop if I can't boot from USB, so how can I do that? Right now all I get are continuous resets of the machine before even getting to the boot menu. And what is the cause for all those reset?
Is there anyway to display/embed text on the Mac desktop, either off of a text file or just punching it into a menu or something, in any font I want? (I did notice Geektool, but it seems like I can't adjust the font, and it's out of date - not for Leopard).
I just want to be able to display like a daily 'motto' or something on it.

With Paralells Desktop, can run high-performance PC-only software at almost native speed in VM but can run both OSes without rebooting
However this advertisement is telling me that we can run high-performance PC-only software at full speed in a Mac’s native hardware environment without rebooting. I have been using Paralells Desktop 5 to run Windows 7 visually on my new iMac, but my PC-only software will never run at full speed in a Mac’s native hardware environment. I checked the perfomance on visual mode and found that Parallels Desktop allowed my iMac to use at most 1 Core or Processor (I have 2 cores) and 2GB of Ram (I have 4 GB). So it's not running at full capabilities of my Mac's hardware at all.
I have an issue with DVI and my Sharp 37inch LCD. I cant get the 1730 to display the desktop to ONLY my Sharp TV. I've reloaded drivers and messed with ever setting known...even called Dell who wanted me to doa system resore!? I got the pc last week..
I cannot view the desktop on the display of my Envy 17t quad touchsmart laptop with Windows 8, although others images, such as the screen saver can be seen.

Problem: After logging in, the screen flashes the Start Screen on and off in random fashion, and is unresponsive to any input.
Effort: We followed the instructions on the HP web site for this symptom (Desktop Screen Flashes Between a Blue Screen with a Blank Taskbar and a Desktop Screen on Startup (Windows 8)), but it failed at step 8 - the Start Screen flashes in Safe Mode with no way to find or enter the "Control Panel" step.
We have also rolled back the system to the last restore point, reseated the memory, and reset the BIOS - all HP recommended processes for video problems.
Current Status: We always look to resolve any problems via the HP web site first; this one had us stumped.
An unknown icon appears on my desktop named " Thumbs.db ". It appears on my desktop screen as well as in  some files and folders. Whenever I  delete that icon, it goes for some time but again comes back on the desktop. I recently upgraded to Windows 8.1 from 8, and it will start up to the main desktop but has a constant loading hourglass running, Â and cannot click on anything, Â no icons responsive, Â only ctrl/all delete. Â It did say my amd graphics driver couldn't be found. My screen also blinks blue and back to desktop like it is possessed.
I have upgraded from win8 to win8.1 on my HP Pavilion model 15-e011nr. I can't reboot and get to the desktop. The notebook PC goes into a cycle of automatic repair, then gives a choice to restart or try advanced options. I tried to use F8 or delete to go into safe mode. Do you hold the key down or continue to press it repeatedly while the computer is starting up? Or is there another method to get to safe mode.
I've tried a hard reset (pulling battery, unplugging power cord and holding power button for 20 seconds), then reinstalled battery, plugged in power cord and started laptop by hitting esc and checking all of the parameters listed - (running tests offered - all came back okay). I tried to do a safe restart with the F8 key, but it did not accept and went to normal startup. What am I missing? Â I can't get the screen to stabilize long enough to get a lock on an icon for opening a program or the main page.
I have a HP Pavilion dv9500 notebook and yesterday after more than two years of pretty much running smoothly it wouldn't boot. First it actually booted into windows but the whole desktop screen was frozen with mouse cursor. So I turned it off, turned it back on and it booted into blue screen and restarted itself. After couple of tries I booted into safe mode which was running fine.
I wasn't sure what the problem was but I was thinking it must be software related, so I loaded an image of my system which I've used before and knew was ok. But even after putting a brand new OS it was doing the same thing.
One time I was actually able to boot into normal mode so I thought maybe the issue got resolved magically. But, I have my external monitor plugged in and even when in normal mode the signal wouldn't go through, so I had to use my laptop monitor. I kept trying to switch the signal and even though it was showing the icon like it's transferring nothing happened. So I checked my video card properties and the card all of the sudden had no drivers and was basically unrecognized by the OS.
I've dell Inspiron N5110 and I'm using it since past 3 and half years. In 2013, base of the laptop was broken and I had to replace it with a new one though there was no problem in hardware at all. Soon after the dell representative installed the new base and left my house I was facing a weird problem. When I power on the laptop, my screen gives a mild flash but does not start (6 out of 10 times, not always), but I can hear windows start up sound in the back ground. I use to press power button again to lock or stand by the laptop and then move my mouse. After performing this I can see the screen glows and log on screen shows up.
I was using my laptop like this for past 1.5 years as pressing a power button was no big deal. Today on the eve of new year, I saw my trick does not work any more. I was not able to start my screen even after repetitive attempts. But I remember I used it last night, display was really fine.Â
I've purchased a HP Pavilion 15-n011tu Notebook. I'm unable to install display driver for WIndows 8 (64bit). I've tried all 3 drivers given on HP site.
I cannot adjust the brightness of my display using the Fn keys or the Control Panel... I have already had to replace my battery once... Â I need to be able to adjust the brightness in order save my battery life!
I am running Win 8.1 x64 (up-to-date) on HP Pavilion 1322TX laptop. There are  Intel HD Graphics 3000 and ATM Radeon HD 7450M two graphic cards as the device manager window. Recently I am getting blue screens and later message appear saying the ATM driver stopped working. I found many problems with this driver in the past as well. When I check the relevent page for my laptop model, there is no update since 2012..
Can I update these two drivers seperately by getting updates from Intel and AMD sites?Â
Is there any update for catalyst control system (CCC) ?Â
When I try to update through the CCC or HP Support Assist, it is always no updates..
I changed my operating system from WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 32 BIT TOÂ WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64 BIT,and the problem is after changing OS my laptop is not displaying Brightness bar. Brightness is increasing and decreasing but it is not showing bright bar. Â Any driver i have to install ? if required then driver download link.
for some reason the on screen display meter for my volume when pressing on the keyboard suddenly disappeared, I would like to get this back. I found this thread in the forum URL.... which another was having the same problem I'm having. The only difference is that I'm using HP Pavilion G7 with Windows 7.
The monitor on my HP Pavilion dv9830us laptop has not been working for some time and I have had to use an external CRT monitor for my display. A couple nights ago, my operating system (Ubuntu Linux 10.04) failed to load and because I can't get video feed to my external monitor until the video drivers on Ubuntu loads, I am unable to run Ubuntu's repair feature and the beginning of boot. Â Is there a way I can get my laptop to use my external monitor at all times, even at the BIOS screen? Is there a setting in BIOS for this?

I have a pavilion dv6 6190se and I cant find an update of display driver in HP support and when i download the update from AMD site it doesn't work. the latest update on this site is v8.882 and i doesn't support win8 and it goes back to 2011-11-18. is there any way to update it?
One of our employees has an HP Pavilion G6 laptop. He uses an external display at work but has to keep the screen of the laptop open. If he closes the screen, then the video to the external display is power off. Â What are the settings to allow the laptop screen to be closed and still be able to get video to an external display.
My screen is no longer good so im trying to connect a external display.Been trying for hours trying to get the external display to work of boot.Ive tryed everything changing 2 sets of hd cables and svga cables. The function key. The Laptop does recognize the display but seems to go into powersave mode or something.The only way i can get the external display to work is if i pull the battery and wait a bit then power up the display will work with a notice on the screen that cmos will be reset to defaults then restarts and back to where i was again.Pavilion dm4-1160us.
My PC info: HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC, F9M02UA#ABA, 5CD4030SBT Â I went to the Control Panel > Systems and Security > Power Options - Choose when to turn off display, for Battery and Plugged in I set to 20 minutes. As long as I'm active with the keyboard or mouse I'm fine but if I'm just reading or studying something on the screen, without any activity, the display will shut down in a minutes time, which is very irritating. Is there something else I need to do to keep my display on for a longer period of time?
I m having an HP pavilion G62016-TX with Windows7 ultimate with 64 bit version,Purchased on Nov'2012.  Recently my PC crashed and when it was reinstalled with all drivers from HP FTP i am having below problems.  When i am adjusting my brightness , it is getting adjusted but the adjusting bar usually shown in the screen is missing.  When i am adjusting my sound , it is getting adjusted but the adjusting bar usually shown in the screen is missing.
