HP Pavilion Dv6 7010US :: Hard Disk Short DST Failed With Fail ID 9U0K9R-66X77D-QFPK1G-60QL03
Aug 25, 2014
My computer was working just fine last night, and then today everything was running slower and things started to freeze up sometimes. I inicially thought it was just Google Chrome as it seemed fine until opening that up, but then everything was slower, so I restarted the computer and ran the start up diagnostic and the hard disk short DST failed giving me the failure ID of 9U0K9R-66X77D-QFPK1G-60QL03. Does this mean my hard drive is failing and I need to replace it?My computer is a HP Pavilion dv6 7010US entertainment PC with product ID B5S11UA#ABA
My HP Pavilion G6 laptop fails to load Windows. The HP UEFI diagnostics for hard disk failed the Short DST test with failure code GU754F-6PK7GW-MFPWXG-60TQ03. Does this mean I have to replace my hard drive? My laptop's product ID is E3D62EA#ABU and I have Win8.1 64-BIT installed on it.
My laptop HP Pavilion dv6-6c35dx fails to load Windows. I ran diagnostics and got a quick (303) error. The HP UEFI diagnostics for hard disk failed the Short DST test with failure code MBX47F 0006QU PXGK01 60QT03. Does this mean I have to replace my hard drive? My laptop's product ID is A6Y53UAR#ABA and I have Win7 -64 installed on it.
My hp pavilion g7 froze yesterday after saying it couldn't connect to internet. I have tried to reboot. The hp logo comes on and then dot circle for about three min. Then the screen goes blank, but it is still on, you can see bluish light on screen. Any way I hit escape during on and got the screen with options. I ran the run in test and start up test. Both came back with hard disk short DST. Failure. The smart check passed anyway the failure I'd is 64x950-6h9783-mfpx0k-60uc03.
I have a Pavilion dv7 1245dx with Windows Vista 64 Bit bought 2009 at Best Buy. It slid off the arm of the couch onto a carpeted floor while shut down. Next day started ok, got into yahoo, facebook, then kind of froze up. Eventually, would not do anything, manually shut it down, started it back up. Black screen, 'No Bootable Device-Insert Boot Disc And Press Any Key'. It will not accept recovery discs that I made after purchase. Start up test ok, memory test ok, hard disk failed 'Boot Drive Not Found'. Caps lock light is blinking. I saw something in a forum about resetting or reseating the hard drive but no explanantion how to do it.
I have a Inspiron M5040 (mid 2011) I ran a system test and was informed that there was a drive critical error with a hard drive ST95032 5AS SATA Disk Device FAILED... What does that mean, is it fixable and how much?
I have an HP Pavillion dv6040 laptop, 3 years old. Today, after 3 years of nearly flawless operation, it will not start. It gives 1 long and 2 short beeps, and then nothing. The lights turn on, the fans run, but the screen remains off (black with the backlight off).
I believe it is a video problem (looked up the beeps online). The laptop has an Nvidia GeForce 7200 Graphics card.
Or does anyone know if it's possible to replace the video card in such a laptop?
After putting the power on, nothing happen. It gives some kind of blue background. But it's not the critical error blue screen. It's some kind of windows-bitmap.
Using Esc and F2 I could do a System Test. The Short DST (don't know what that means...) says: FAILED.....
It gives details on the FAILURE ID : 64SP28-5HB7AC-XD003F-60VF03.... What should I do next?
The notebook is a HP, model DV6-3160SD, Running W7 on it. Don't know the bit-version (and can not check it).....
i have hp pavilion g6 notebook pc laptop...but it does not contain recovery disk and whenever i create recovery disk from recoverry manager it failed to verify disk 1 and show the message "insert another disk " it happen again and again ...what to do....
Recently I began having problems upon starting up my HP Pavilion g6 series laptop. I would get a disc error that would require me to restart with "control, alt, delete." It has now gone to giving me Hard Disk errors 303 and 305. I've been looking around on these forums and it appears that I'm looking at a harddrive getting ready to fail.
I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium with an Intel i7-2620M CPU @ 2.70GHz with 6GB of RAM and it's a 64 bit operating system.
Am I correct in assuming that the hard drive is getting ready to fail? If so, how do I replace it and what do I replace it with?
I own a HP Pavilion DV6-6160ev. Although I run the Hard Disk Test and all three tests (SMART Check, Short DST and Long DST) pass, the Hard Disk Error screen keeps coming up.
I have an HP Pavillion dm4. My hard drive died so I installed a new hard drive. The original OS installed on the computer was Windows 7. I did not get a Windows 7 disk with the computer. If I order the Windows 7 recovery disk from HP, will it install Windows 7 on my new hard drive? I have the COA info.
I have been given the task of restoring my brother's laptop after his hard disk gave the click of death, only 6 months outside the warranty. I have replaced the hard disk. Fortunately all his documents and photos have been copied to an external drive, but unfortunately he has no system image or restore disk or Windows 8 intallation disk.
Is there anywhere on the net where I can get an ISO image to burn a Windows 8 insallation disk or can HP supply a restore disk preferably to restore the laptop back to factory settings.
I have a HP 15 Notebook PC with no dvd drive recently I was sent the system recovery cds from HP. I dont have an external dvd drive. What i do have is a Toshiba Satelight laptop with Widows 7 and a good dvd drive. Also I have a 500 GB external hard drive. I was thinking maybe I could copy the disks onto the external harddrive with the Toshiba dvd drive. Then attach the external hard drive to my HP 15 Notebook by usb port and install Hp recovey disks from the external hard drive.
I have bought HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC on last year August. Yesterday while I was working on my Laptop It was restarted and Bios (setup) screen was shown. After this when I try to boot my laptop it shows blank (black) screen forever (no errors shown).
When I diagnose my laptop, I got Hard Drive Short DST Failure . I have called HP service center and they were telling to replace the hard drive.
But I have some many important files and documents in my laptop. is it possible to recover my files using some method?

I have a Dell Inspiron N5110. The Warranty ran out in July of last year so for some reason I cannot email technical support directly.I ran the Dell PC Diagnostic test earlier today, all of which passed with the exception of the SMART Short Self Test which failed. Apparently my hard drive is "operating outside of normal parameters and should be replaced". I tried this twice, once with the Dell diagnostic software installed on my laptop and once using the downloadable diagnostics from the Dell website, both had the same outcome.
I then tried the system diagnostics accessed via the F12 key on system startup. Again all passed but the hard drive test which would not run and provided the following message:
Error code 2000-0142 validation 12985 Msg Hard Drive 0 s/n (omitted), self test unsuccessful status = 7
I have read around on the support forums that the next step to try is removing and replacing the hard drive then re-running the diagnostics. If this does not solve the issue and I have to replace the hard drive does that mean I will need to buy a new copy of windows to install on the hard drive, as my laptop came with no disks? I have backed up all my important files but obviously not any programs.
what my next steps would be and what the process is should I have to replace my hard drive? I am a "noob" in this area and don't want to spending uneccassary money on parts that don't need to be replaced or buying software I don't need to replace as it is already available if you see what I mean?
My 11 month old Ideapad failed to boot last night with error 'BL Initialize Library Error 0xc0000029'. Eventually a blue screen appeared saying that multiple start attempts had failed and the system needed repair.
As suggested I tried to use One key recovery but choosing restore to factory settings leads to self same failure.Sadly I have misplaced the recovery disc I created during a house revamp so cannot try that route.
Pavilion G7-1017cl: extremely slow booting - diagnostic test showed short DST failure ID: 9FU77V-5JD79K-XD0147-60TL03; PRODUCT ID: LF181UA#ABA. Is this the HDD, or video? I can access thru safe mode OK, but have issues booting up normally.
My HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n071nr Notebook PC is not working I keep getting failure ID QC473F-6T776L-MFPWWK-60TH03 And I don't know what it means also my Short DST says Failure...
I have a dv6-7010us hp laptop and every time I try to use the webcam it says that no device is detected and I need to turn it on. I am pretty sure I have the latest software for youcam. I can not find the webcam anywhere in my programs or devices. I need turning it on and finding it?
