HP Pavilion Dv6 Recovery :: Vista - Physical Memory Dump With Error Code 0x000000F4
Sep 10, 2014
Computer: HP Pavilion dv6000
Operating System: Windows Vista.
For the past 6-8 months it has been unable to perform Windows Update citing that the most likely reason was a virus. I have tried numerous trouble shooting options when it was recommended that I perform a chkdsk. After initiating a chkdsk in Command Prompt, my computer restarted and had a black screen with no cursor. After watching this for 2 hours and realizing that none of the usual chkdsk progress or text was coming up I made the decision to force shut down.
When I rebooted, I was told to enter system recovery which I did and completed a system recovery from the hard drive. After the system recovery finished and the laptop restarted, I experience a Blue Screen of Death due to a physical memory dump. The error codes are STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x0000000000000003, 0xFFFFFA8006671040, 0xFFFFFA8006671278, 0xFFFFF80001D01DA0).
I am not able to boot in safe mode. In the start up repair, I am able to enter command prompt from which I started chkdsk again. Both chkdsk f/ and chkdsk r/ passed with no errors. Additionally, the computer passed both UEFI Hard Drive and Memory tests. I have system recovery CDs for the computer but they fail at 78% completion.
Every time I start my laptop Inspiron n5110, it goes to the blue error screen where it says 'collecting data for crash dump'. It usually happens in under a minute after starting the laptop. Once the screen shows I have to force restart by pressing the power key for few seconds.
I have a Pavilion G7 2223nr. It came with w7, and free upgrade to W8. Was never able to go to W8.1. Caught something bad everything went south. Had to reload win 7 pro, I had the software pack from MS.
I cannot get the computer to reconize anything doing with the ethernet, or the WiFi.
I tried F11 at bootup, and all I get is Computer is broken error code 0000225.
I have lost my HP partition, so I need to know if HP sells a disk that will give it back to me?
If all else fails I just use my tablet until I buy win8, or 8.1. Or I take it to a repair shop. I have been researching this for 2 days, have downloaded all drivers from HP for my computer, and it still doesn't recognize any device.
I have an HP mini 1000 that a friend gave me. It is asking for a password at the startup before windows kicks in. My friend doesn't remember the password and after 3 failed attempts. How do I get the bios password based on this error code?
I am trying to find a solution to repair a Vista (Home?) installation on an Aspire 5920. The laptop blue screens with a Stop error code 00000F4 when booted in either Normal and Safe Mode. This problem started after installing a program although it may also have a malware/virus problem. The inbuilt Startup Repair and System Restore both fail.
I have the Acer Recovery disks but the Acer eRecovery website suggests that all personal data will be lost if they are used. Is it possible to repair the OS installation from the recovery disks instead of reinstalling it?
I'm an owner of a sxps 1340 and have the following problem. My system freezes after 5 minutes of operating. It does that 3 out of the 4 times if I reboot. I think this appeared after I installed the videocard update when I received the Dell "Alert".
After corresponding with Dell they advised me to do a system restore, which didn't help. So now I did a factory image restore to bring everything back as initially.
My system has 4GB of internal memory, but if I start task manager I only see 2301MB of physical memory. And my system is using 51% of the total physical memory. This without having installed any programs except the one that came with the factory image.
My question is: Could this be a memory hardware failure?
I have a Sony Vaio fw 490 CTo for a week and it's running window vista home premium 64x everything doing fine until i got freeze when playing game. I open taskbar manager and saw my physical memory is at 90% ......
i recently installed vista service pack 1 on my system which is a 64 bit OS! a couple minutes after installing and installed all necessary drivers, i then tried to install the PC game by the name of grid, half way into installation, my laptop shutdown giving me the blue screen that say hardware error and dumping memory.... i tried rebooting a couple time but same blue screen results, so i opened my system and then boot again, i then noticed my fan wasnt running continuously, it runs for a couple seconds then stops and then runagain for another couple seconds and stop, it continuously repeats that step, so i then removed the fan and cleaned out the sponge thick dirt i saw in it, blow out the dust from vents and from heat sink, then i tries booting up again and the fan behaves the same god darn way..... how can i solve this problem do you think weather or not my system is 32 bit or 64 bit, wud it affect the operation of my fan?
I am getting a prompt to enter an Administrator Password or Power on Password for an HP Pavilion dv7. After 3 failed attempts I am given a halt code: 53452842
I am locked out of my HP Pavilion Touchsmart 11 notebook. Incorrectly entered the admin/power on password 3x & generated "System Disabled" code 72309540. How to get in/reset?
I have a HP Pavilion dv6500. Windows Vista Operating System. At first it just quit coming on. After pushing the F10 key at startup, now it is asking for a password. This is a BIOS password.
The Halt code I get is 07981.
I plan to recycle this computer. I already purchased a new HP Computer, but would like to get some data off this harddrive before disposing of this unit.
17 inch HP Pavilion DV9000 series laptop (DV9417CL). It is AMD, part number GL880UA#ABbA. When trying recovery with cd I made from system and have used before I get a recovery error 0x400110020000100A. My hard drive is starting to fail and I'm trying to replace it with a new drive. These recovery disks were made from drive that came in the laptop.
I have a Pavilion G60 that is stuck with the following number [58243987]. I tried the BIOS password request 3 times and received: System Disable [58243987]. How do I get around this? I do not know what the password is and tried password, enter, and then PASSWORD before the number showed up. What do I do next?

I've just encountered error 1002 while using recovery... Recovery successfully went through reformattng my drive but crashed before reinstaling the original content. It doesn't matter if I try recovering from hard driver nor dvd rom, it all results in error 1002. I've done some searching and it seems it's quite common error in hp products without proper solution. I feel I'm out of luck as my warranty expired years ago.. How can I resolve this issue? For me it seems that recovery content orginally placed on my hard drive (and later burned on the DVD by me) had been damaged.
- to order another recovery disks set (though I saw few opinions it didn't work)
- buy new "Windows" and install a new fresh installation (will I be able to perform new installation at all?)
MY laptop is a HP Pavillion dv5 1223TX, I was having issues so I did a factory reset via recovery manager, I have installed as many Windows updates as it has allowed, I am trying to download software that I was using before reset, like iTunes, Java etc, but I keep getting an error 'The windows installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed' I have tried various downloads to rectify this but to no avail.
Few days ago, my laptop wasn't running well. I made a hard reset - remove everything and reinstall windows by using HP Support Assistant. It was done but when laptop reboot, a install windows message showed:
"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation."
So I press enter many times but it was that message. I have no time to waste. I use HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b013nr.
i have a 1705 with 7900gs. ive been getting alot of nmi errors nonparity memory errors. so i replace my old mem stick with two brand new ones. well this did not solve the issues. so i reflash my 7900 back to default and still getting this error. i reformat my machine often so im pretty sure the os is affecting it.
