My Dell Inspiron, won't come on, first it started out with memory dump, with:
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREAÂ error message,
and Stop Code:Â 0x00000050.Â
Then I did 'system restore', it didn't work.
I tried 'chkdsk' it didn't work
I tried 'System Repair', it didn't work either
I took out the RAMs and re-seated them, it didn't work,Â
Now its even worse, the PC won't even come on at all.Â
Every time I start my laptop Inspiron n5110, it goes to the blue error screen where it says 'collecting data for crash dump'. It usually happens in under a minute after starting the laptop. Once the screen shows I have to force restart by pressing the power key for few seconds.

View 9 Replies View Relatedi recently installed vista service pack 1 on my system which is a 64 bit OS! a couple minutes after installing and installed all necessary drivers, i then tried to install the PC game by the name of grid, half way into installation, my laptop shutdown giving me the blue screen that say hardware error and dumping memory.... i tried rebooting a couple time but same blue screen results, so i opened my system and then boot again, i then noticed my fan wasnt running continuously, it runs for a couple seconds then stops and then runagain for another couple seconds and stop, it continuously repeats that step, so i then removed the fan and cleaned out the sponge thick dirt i saw in it, blow out the dust from vents and from heat sink, then i tries booting up again and the fan behaves the same god darn way..... how can i solve this problem do you think weather or not my system is 32 bit or 64 bit, wud it affect the operation of my fan?

Note: My battery was not working, laptop was running as plug in only.
My laptop suddenly turned off during working, Â and wont start again, after giving a day rest, it starts again but before the windows launch it turns off again and wont start again.
Few days after I simply removed my battery and it start working normally but its been only 5 days, my laptop wont turn on now.
when I connect my AC power, laptops power lights on and it beeps once and power gone.
when I try to press power button, nothing happens,
but when i remove AC adapter and connect again, power light comes automatically but after 2 seconds it beeps and turned off.
I have tried disconnecting AC power, hold power button for 60 secs, and then connect my AC adapter (power button being pressed) lights come, it beeps for one time and turned off.
Computer: HP Pavilion dv6000
Operating System: Windows Vista.

For the past 6-8 months it has been unable to perform Windows Update citing that the most likely reason was a virus. I have tried numerous trouble shooting options when it was recommended that I perform a chkdsk. After initiating a chkdsk in Command Prompt, my computer restarted and had a black screen with no cursor. After watching this for 2 hours and realizing that none of the usual chkdsk progress or text was coming up I made the decision to force shut down.

When I rebooted, I was told to enter system recovery which I did and completed a system recovery from the hard drive. After the system recovery finished and the laptop restarted, I experience a Blue Screen of Death due to a physical memory dump. The error codes are STOP: 0x000000F4 (0x0000000000000003, 0xFFFFFA8006671040, 0xFFFFFA8006671278, 0xFFFFF80001D01DA0).Â

I am not able to boot in safe mode. In the start up repair, I am able to enter command prompt from which I started chkdsk again. Both chkdsk f/ and chkdsk r/ passed with no errors. Additionally, the computer passed both UEFI Hard Drive and Memory tests. I have system recovery CDs for the computer but they fail at 78% completion.
My dell Inspiron 1545 will not boot up into windows on start up, I've run a computer diagnostics, which came up with an error code 2000-0146. What this means? I've looked on the support pages & basically they say i need to contact them so it sound serious, is this so?

My dell Inspiron 14 refuses to power on. When I plug the power adapter to it, the indicator light on the power adapter goes off and wont come back on for some minute. For a couple of months, the laptop refuses to boot when turning it on. Screens stays completely black, never reaches the Dell-logo. The power-LED burns normally, CPU lights up for a few seconds, then dies out. I hear the fans starting and I think the hard disk starts as well.
The speakers start making an intermittent beeping sound, short beep every +- 3 seconds.
At this point, I have to interrupt the proces, and restart. Occasionally, the computer does start normally (around 10-30 times trying). In the beginning, this took only a few times trying, but it's getting worse.
When the computer comes back from sleep, it doesn't have any problems, only when it's (re)started, or coming from hibernation (deep sleep).
My two-year old laptop (Inspiron N7110 Windows 7 64 bit home) s refusing to wake from sleep. The power button just glows steadily and nothing happens at all happens when I press it to try to wake it. I have to hold the power button down to shut it right off, then restart.
I did a number of updates before this happened, including:
-update Firefox
-update Garmin Lifetime Updater
-update Intel My WIFI to Intel Dashboard
-update drivers for Bamboo pen tablet
-update Norton antivirus software
-sign into Dell PC Checkup on Dell Support Centre and downloaded and installed all their recommended updates.
I did another Dell PC Checkup just now and everything passed.
I have checked the power saving schemes and tried switching to different ones (I use the Dell settings). No Success.
I tried playing with the 'choosing what the power buttons do' options in the power saving schemes - no success.
My Inspiron 5421 won't start. I can hear the drive start and after a few seconds I get a 4-beep code (RAM read/write failure). The warranty expired about 6 months ago.Â

Recently it had been lagging really bad, and so I was advised that it might be a power supply problem, or, another solution would be to upgrade the memory.
I went to my local computer store asking about it, and he recommended trying to upgrade the memory (I currently had two 256 MB memory sticks, for a total of 512).
I told him my model number, and he pointed me to a Kingston 1 GB memory stick, and said he was pretty sure that it would be compatible. Since it was only $10, I bought two of them.
so I went ahead and replaced the two 256 MB memory sticks with my newly acquired 1 GB memory sticks. But after I put the laptop back together, and I pushed the power button, nothing showed up on the screen (although the lights indicated the power was at least on)
I have an acer aspire 5630 laptop wich have been wrongly flashed. I'm trying now to replace the bios chip (29lv008) with a new one wich i have to program on an external programmer. My problem is that the only falsh file available at acer site is an executable one (flash 32.exe). Is there a way to extract the flash file to be programmed from this .exe. Or have someone the dump file of such a laptop.

I ordered two basic Inspiron 1545's on March 16th. $479 each on the one day special.
Dell says it will arive on April 6th. Does Dell usually take this long to deliver?
Both have Dual Core Pentiums. Can they be upgraded to Core 2 Duo later? Are the CPU's soldered on the main board?
Ram is limited to four gigabytes, even though the laptop uses a 64-bit CPU. Is this something that might be fixed in a future BIOS upgrade?
Is there any way to upgrade the onboard graphics? I found an ExpressCard chasis that has PCI express slots, but it costs over $700. I could build a PC for less than that. Do I have any other options?
I just looked at the pictures and specs of the new Inspiron 1525 replacement, 1545, and I couldn't believe what I have read. No HDMI port, no firewire port, only 3 USB ports, no modem, no eSATA. Also, it is 15.6" 16:9 screen, which is fine, if they offer higher than 1366x768. It is more like the 13" Inspiron than the old 1525 to me. I think Dell is going to re-align Inspiron as a cheap line like the HP Presario line. Dell Studio will compete with HP Pavilion.

However, looking at the spec - the Inspiron seems to have:

My fan on the inspiron 1545 will not stop running. The laptop is quite hot. The battery from Dell died and replaced with a third party battery and adapter which have not been working well either. Battery will not charge so it is currently attached to power source at all times with the battery in the laptop.
