I downgraded my operating system to windows 7 from Windows 8 on HP Pavilion 17-f012na and wireless network disapeared. Checked for latest drivers nothing available. Then manually looked at HP drivers and support section no drivers available either. What is solution is find correct driver. By the way bluetooth is working.
I replaced hard drive with SSD and installed windows 7 ultimate (X64) on my HP Pavilion G4 notebook. However, I am not able to install switchable graphics on my laptop now.
I have tried this 1. Installed HPSA and ran update and tuneup. It asked me to update "AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver" but it failed with multiple retries and after some time now it doesnt ask to do this update at all. Now everything is green in HPSA but I am still not able to switch the graphics 2. Tried to download from HP drivers page but it says "AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible harware/software on your computer" 3. Tried uninstalling the driver but windows updates the drivers automatically. 4. I also updated BIOS as suggested at [URL] ..... but still no luck......
Product Name: HP Pavilion g4 Notebook PC Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1 Product number : LQ375PA#AB
What is PerfLogs ? What if I do not meant to be pressed ? Has changed to Computer Settings ? What are the settings that have changed ? How to restore the default settings ? Or it can be disabled ?
I bought a new Mac just yesterday (my first time to switch from PC) believing that the East Asian Support in Macs will be equally if not better in OS X than Windows (given that Japan is a huge market for Macs and also that you can even order a Japanese keyboard when purchasing your computer). To my horror, however, I am now realizing that there's a feature where Windows outpeforms OS X, or what OS Xi is totally lacking;
IME Pad - i.e. in Windows when you switch to Japanese language keyboard you have an option to use your mouse to draw a kanji you are not familiar with (don't know its reading). You'll get a lit of options and can find thus a kanji extremely fast - no need for radical or stoke look-up. I've heard that OS X doesn't have this function - at least not 10.5. If that's true this would be a major drawback!
the only solution to this would be to use an internet interface such as this: Handwritten kanji search at sljfaq.org But this is way too cumbersome and requires internet access. how to use Japanese on Macs can respond.
I downloaded all win 7 drivers, and I'm ready for a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64b on my Vaio. I wonder whether it would be wise to first install the bios upgrade for Win 7, version R4041M3, before I start the OS installation?
When i bought my laptop it have windows 8 but i disliked it and have many bugs on my games so i installed windows 7 and complete delete everything in my harddisk. I couldn't find product keys anyway packet , laptop etc.
how to install windows 7 into pre-installed windows 8 hp pavilon 15-B001EE First it asks about a driver So I removed the harddesk and installed windows 8 on other PC. when I returned the harddest to computer and just when start loading windows it gives me a blue screen Do not know what to do since I removed the recovery partation
I recently Had my HP Pavilion G7 crash on me which ran windows 8 (OEM) I was unable to restore it. I decided to downgrade to windows vista and do a clean install due to the fact I connot locate my w8 install disk. The problem im having is my network, display adaptors and other devices arent working and showing a yellow triangle with an exclamation point and ive done some research and tried fixes like unistalling and reinstalling but it still not working. Here is what is showing up with the exclamation points in yellow
network adapters -acer NIC - 559A pro/100+ with alert on lan 2
Other devices - SM bus Controller -Universal serial bus(usb) controller -universal serial bus (usb) controller -Unkown device
I feel like if i can get online and get windows to update some of these things will clear up and fix. Now i did have problems with realtek PCIe FE Family Controller but i went and found the driver for that.here are some system info:
system Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard system model: HP pavilion g7 notebook pc system type: x86 based pc (32bit) processor: AMD A8 -4500M APU WITH RADEOM(TM) HD GRAPHICS,1900 HMZ 4 CORES
I did call HP free support because my warranty was up and they told me it seemed like an software issue or corruption and they felt confident they could fix it but they wanted me to pay for tech support which i dont mind but it would be a monthly service charge which i dont need constant tech support this is the first time ive ran into this issue they also told me that the tech would have me enter some Commands in command prompt to resolve this.
My windows 8.1 updated was get problem it ask for refresh windows i refresh now i get low space in C: drive i want to install fresh windows to get more sapce on C drive only without lossing data from my other drives now how I do that
I installed Windows 8.1 Update 1 x64 to my HP Pavilion G6 2240SH laptop. I started install the drivers and I got an error message in the Intel High-Definition setup: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."
I just bought "HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC p000su-j2t31ea", installed windows 8.1, downloaded drivers and it seems like it works perfectly but wifi.
When I tried to install this Broadcom WLAN driver [URL]... its loading like on the half way on its instalation and drops then a message appears and asks me if the program worked well.
Ive tried to install that driver under Safe Mode and it loaded the installation, but when it was installing some error came out saying that the installation cant continue, because update.cpp 1205 is not found or something.I also tried to find the driver from broadcom's site, but couldnt find it. And now i can use e-net only via cable.
I had to clean install Windows 7 due to a problem I created in the first place. Anyway, everything runs fine, except for the Radeon graphic card.
I own a HP Pavilion g6-1279sl Notebook. It's supposed to have an Intel HD Graphics 3000 and a AMD Radeon HD6470M.
I installed the last version of the Catalyst driver, and when I right click on the desktop, it says "switchable graphics", but if I click on that, it just shows me another option from the Catalyst, HydraGrid.
Using a tool that displays which graphic card is running, I noticed that even when I'm running games, the Intel Graphic Card is working, giving an overall worse performance than the Radeon should give. I mean, the Radeon is never working. I also tried to disable the Intel from Device Manager (I think it's called like this, I have an Italian laptop), and it gave problems due to the Radeon card not working properly.
The BIOS is updated and no option is there about Switchable Graphics.
Is there anything I can do to have back that feature?
I bought this PC last year and now i would to format it because i noticed some slowing downs during some operations (such has the switch on). My question is: can I install a "clean" win8 with the recovery image? How? I mean a O.S. free from Hp's customizations as if I bought it from Microsoft. If it isn't possible with the recovery image, is it possible in other way, keeping the license?
I have been downgrading my friends computer from Windows 8 to Windows 7 and used driver links from here and everything has worked great so far!! There is only one issue left. I have no driver for SM Bus Controller.
Everything else in device manager is good except for this.
I already installed Windows 8.1 64-bits on my laptop and the Wifi Card wasn't already installed. I tried to download the Wifi Card driver and I found 3 drivers :
MediaTek(Ralink) 802.11 Wireless LAN (WLAN) Adapter [URL]....
Along with finding the proper downloads, I'm not sure in which order I should be installing them (if there is a specific order at all), and if I need to reboot every time I install something new.
I currently have a 1645 on order and assuming I ever get it, I want to run Linux as the primary OS.
I would like to run vmware workstation with windows as a client. The reason behind this is that I primarily use the computer for work and need linux, but I need windows for a few things.
I understand that these days Dell simply ships a re-install disk if that much. I need a full version of windows to setup vmware. Does anyone know if the dell key can be used with a full version disk to do an install .....
Ever since I setup a Mac for a friend of mine, I've been very interested in the Mac and Mac OS X. It's fairly easy to learn and runs very well. Of course, I've been dealing with Windows for over 15 years, dating back to Windows 3.1. I also work with Windows 99% of the time since I mainly work on PCs as a PC tech.
Of course, Windows will run on a Mac using Boot Camp, but it seems like there's a whole variety of glitches when running Windows on a Mac using Boot Camp. Thus, I come up with the following question: which version of Windows runs best under Boot Camp? XP? 32 or 64-bit Vista? 32 or 64-bit Windows 7 RC? Do I need to wait for Snow Leopard to come out with better Boot Camp drivers? Do I even need to wait for Windows 7 to come out?
I am seriously looking at getting a 13" MacBook Pro and will most likely run some version of Windows on it using Boot Camp. Also, depending on the version, what amount of RAM is needed? I know that if you have 4GB or more RAM, you might as well run 64-bit Windows 7. Other than that, I'll probably run mostly Mac OS X on the MacBook Pro, but having some version of Windows on the MacBook Pro running under BootCamp would come in handy. Not sure if I'll do Parallels or Fusion.
I'm curious if the programs are identical, or if there is still a difference between the products? Ideally I'd like to have Office running in OSX, however if I have to I will run it in a VM. Mind you I'd like to avoid the headache of opening a VM to check my mail...
I updated the Bios of my Ideapad U310 to version 65CN99WW and now I can't enter Windows 8.1, it remains in a kind of boot menu. When I turn on the Laptop it desn't even show the Lenovo sign that used to,
