Aug 29, 2014I bought Laptop Pavilion g6 with the preinstalled win7 home basic. Now my harddrive is dead and i need to reinstall it on the new drive. How can I do this?

Dell :: Reinstalling Problem With New Hard Drive
May 8, 2009a week ago, my hard drive broke on my XPS m1530. I called Dell support and they told me that they'll sent a new one.
Today,
I received the new hard drive. I installed it on the pc, installed window vista home premium. (This is the 1st time that I install a computer)
Then, I tried to connect to internet by wireless and it failed. It said "This computer does not have a wireless network adapter installed and configured" However, I don't have any disk for installing wireless network adapter. The pc had everything installed when i bought it.
I also noticed the graphic card monitor became "(default monitor) on standard vga graphic adapter". Im sure that I had a geforce 8600 graphic card when i had my old hard drive. So, Im guessing I did something wrong or the pc don't recognize it
HP 630 Networking :: WiFi Lost After Formatting Hard Drive And Reinstalling Windows 7
Jul 29, 2014I have a HP 630 laptop with Windows 7 64 bit ultimate . After formatting the hard drive of the computer, I reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate.
Now it can't connect to the internet through wireless. I've tried all the basics: pressing the WIFI enable/disable toggle key on my keyboard, restarting my computer, enabling disabling the internet connection in the network area, etc.
Under Device Manager I see 2 devices related to the wireless internet:
1. Other devices > Network Controller - it has a yellow warning sign next to it - the error is for having no drivers installed.
2. Network adapters > Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller - "This device is working properly."
Below are the hardware ID's for the network controller that is not working:

HP Pavilion Dv7-6111eo OS/Software :: Various Missing Drivers After Reinstalling Windows 7 64 Bit
Jan 17, 2015I experienced missing several DLL-files, and often got error messages about those. I re-installed Windows 7 64 bit, as I didn't want to mess with those DLLs missing.
After that re-installing, I couldn't get internet-connection to my router. Luckily I have a 10+ year old stationary, where I after some time found the driver I needed, so that works now.
But now it seems there's several other drivers missing/not been installed.
Missing drivers:
Network Controller;
Hardware ID: PCIVEN_8086&DEV_008B&SUBSYS_53158086&REV_34
SM Bus Controller;

I have 4 USB-ports, but only one will work, the others don't respond, and I need all four running at the same time. Plus I'd like to have everything in order after I had to re-install Win 7.

1-This computer’s hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk’s controlleris enabled in the computer’s BIOS menu. How can I tell the disk is enabled?
2 - Windows is unable to find a system volume that meets its criteria for installation. What? My HDDisk size is 298.1GB free space?
HP Pavilion TS 14-B132TX Audio :: Sound Kept Disappearing After Installing And Reinstalling Drivers
Jan 19, 2014I have an HP Pavilion Sleekbook Touchsmart 14-B132TX. My sound disappeared while I was working using it about a month ago. I phoned HP Hotline and the Tech Support told me to just uninstall it from Device Manager and upon restart, the driver will install automatically. Which I did.
The sound did come back but again it disappeared after about 15 minutes of use, so I called tech support again and they gave me links to HP Support for drivers to download and install which I did and restarted the computer and the sound came back again. BUT AGAIN, the sound disappeared. I phoned tech support and they told me to just do a system restore which I did and the sound came back again. But it again disappeared after about just 7 minutes of use.
These are the drivers I installed from HP's website: sp60642, sp64082, sp60464 and sp64031. After so many reinstallation of drivers. I cleaned my notebook with CCleaner and went to HP Support Assistant in the hope of getting a solution, there was an instruction there to download the QUALCOMM Atheros driver, and I installed again the said driver..The sound reappeared after restarting. AND AGAIN, it disappeared after just using the laptop for just about 3 minutes. This laptop is quite new, just bought it 10 months ago. I'm using the Windows 8 OS.

Aug 7, 2014so basically I reinstalled windows 7 Home Premium x64 Operating System and it seems that some drivers are missing. I bought a new hard disk and 4 G of ram..I installed them and the laptop is HP Pavilion dv6-2137sl , Intel Core i5 CPU m430 , 2.27 GHz with 6 G of ram now.When I looked at the Device Manager. I saw at Other devices : Base System Device Base System Device Base System Device Network Controller Unknown device Unknown device. All have yellow triangle. I tried to install a driver, the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Driver but after the installation it gives me the next message : The Realtek Network Controller was not found.If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable.

Jul 8, 2014I have a HP Pavilion g7-1205ev laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. I bought a new hard drive so I had to install Windows again. After the installation the laptop can't connect to the internet either by wifi either by Ethernet. After trying troubleshooting it says that windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter.
At the device Manager I can see that there is an exclamation mark to these exact components:
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
BCM20702AO
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
Can I download all these from somewhere ? And of course I will download them to another PC as my laptop doesn't go online at all. I also tried to run Ubuntu from a flash drive on my laptop and the Ubuntu uses the Internet just fine.

I have been getting a random blue screen popping up every once and a while, that will "dump my physical memory" or something and then reboot itself after like 30 seconds. my hard drive was the reason for these constant errors. So I backed everything up, in preparation of a real crash. I am in the process of ordering a new hard drive from Newegg.com, and I would like to know if it is hard to replace a hard drive in a notebook, or if I should have Geek Squad do it for $50. Also, I dont think I have the Operating system disc that came with my computer, so how do I order that from HP and how much is it?And last but not least, Is there a post or video with instructions on how to install a hard drive and the operating system?

Oct 25, 2014I have a HP 15 Notebook PC with no dvd drive recently I was sent the system recovery cds from HP. I dont have an external dvd drive. What i do have is a Toshiba Satelight laptop with Widows 7 and a good dvd drive. Also I have a 500 GB external hard drive. I was thinking maybe I could copy the disks onto the external harddrive with the Toshiba dvd drive. Then attach the external hard drive to my HP 15 Notebook by usb port and install Hp recovey disks from the external hard drive.

Do i need the recovery partition or can i delete it?

this way, after a clean xp & drivers istall, you can save this image to a usb-hdd/usb-stick/CDs/DVDs/etc. and everytime your system needs to be reinstalled (virus, slowdowns, registry messed up, ...) you can save yourself the endless installation/sp2 download/driver search and simply play back the clean windows in about 1 hour.
there is commercial software like trueimage, which does that. and norton ghost, which i hate, as i hate symantec software and this tool is not really good.
and there is a freeware tool, which is named "driveimage xml".
very simple to use and it works great:

you simply click "back up", choose the path to the destination you want and wait
a few minutes.
when pushing big files and not choosing the option "split large files", remember, that
your destination harddisk has to be formated with ntfs, as you can't push files bigger
than 4 GB to fat32 formated drives at once.
the only thing you have to do is create a boot cd with an operating system on it,
so you can restore your image to the system hdd.
i used the freeware bart pe to do this:

you only have to transform your xp cd with it to become an operating system
cd. and insert the plugin for driveimage xml (available on the runtime.org homepage), so you can run driveimage xml when booting from cd.

But I have lost all the softwares like NTI CD/DVD maker and drivers like modem. I do not know what the problem is but my dial up modem does not work. It shows something else in the modem list (Contexant) that is different from what was there originally ("HD audio"). Whether the telephone line is plugged or unplugged it shows the same error message. I mean the error message like no dial tone is shown while no telephone line plugged. Besides it does not produce the speaker sound even after enabling so which it used to do before.

It shows that it can't be done on this computer becouse it doens't support this operating system or that it doesn't have wife device at all. I downloaded Lan driver from support and it works, but its diffrent story with wifi. Driver genius can't find it either. Also tried using rescue and restore, but it doesn't find any back up's.
