View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an aspire 3510 which when switched on goes straight into a loop of turning on for 2 seconds (the fan starts) then turning off and repeating this on/off cycle continuously. It never gets to diplay anything on screen. I have tried the disconnect all power and press the power button for 60 seconds, replaced the memory and stripped the laptop down re seating the cpu and cleaning the fan.

I updated my laptop from Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit 2 weeks ago. Since then, I can't use the alt buttons, both on the left and right. Some information on internet said that there might be some dusts under the buttons, and I've tried to clean it, but the problem still occur.
I upgraded to 8.1 a few weeks ago all was fine, but for the last few days I cannot see my home Wifi (which is fine all other devices see it) I can see an error message for my Net Adaptor but the drivers say they are up to date.

The Wi-Fi adapter Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 worked on windows 7, but fails on windows 8.1. Tried to find the driver on the broadcom but not found. Device Manager indicates only problem with a PCI device. Problems with the Wi-Fi adapter does not specify.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Pavilion g7-1205ev laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. I bought a new hard drive so I had to install Windows again. After the installation the laptop can't connect to the internet either by wifi either by Ethernet. After trying troubleshooting it says that windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter.
At the device Manager I can see that there is an exclamation mark to these exact components:
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
BCM20702AO
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
Can I download all these from somewhere ? And of course I will download them to another PC as my laptop doesn't go online at all. I also tried to run Ubuntu from a flash drive on my laptop and the Ubuntu uses the Internet just fine.
i have encounter a new problelm with my laptop(G570) that it does not intall my new printer driver which is hp deskjet 1510. it says that drivers does not exist for the machine. i dont understand what should i do , when the same printer i install in my desktop home pc its get intall. even i take technical assistance from the hp. they check and say that this the problem is with ur laptop.they say that ur laptop machine is not allowing the printer to intall driver. i dont understand what should do in this situation i tried so many(install and uninstall) times but same problem prisist.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe laptop is a Pavilion G7 with Windows 7 64-bit. The machine was given to me under the premise of "Internet does not work". The wireless properties and LAN settings say that the laptop is connected and has Internet access. I can ping outside addresses from the machine, and can ping the machine from other devices. It also pulls a valid ip address according to an ipconfig. However, when you try to pull up a website, it gives a "website cannot be found" page. This happens on IE, Firefox, and Chrome. All chipset drivers, ethernet drivers, and wireless drivers have been uninstalled and reinstalled. They are the newest drivers available from HP's website. I have even replaced the wireless NIC thinking it may just be a bad card. I've checked the IPv4 settings and all is set right. Thinking of possible DNS issues I tried using straight IP addresses to connect to webpages but all to no avail. Are there BIOS issues that would affect this?

I have already read some forum posts and did some steps like:
1: install latest drivers for Ralink bluetooth device
2: Uninstall the Ralink bluetooth device
3: Disabled Ralink bluetooth device from device manager
But nothing worked for me.
After the complete melt-down of the old WinXp, I installed Win7 - so far most of ti works. However, WLAN doesnt work. (P/N is PY869PA#ABG, it also says dv1303ap on the label)
Is there any driver for WLAN available? Witout WLAn or internet access the good old HP is pretty useless....

I formatted the harddrive and loaded Windows Vista Business 64 bit. I downloaded and installed all drivers that were recommended by HP but my Sound and Audio doesn't work. "This PC is not supported by the System Recovery Discs. You will not be able to continue to recover this system with these discs."
Error code: 0100-30FC-3602-3603
The original hard drive was a Hitachi, 320 GB SATA
The new hard drive is a WD 500 GB SATA
I have an HP DV6226US and I recently updated the BIOS to the F.2D version (from what I remember as F.14, and that BIOS version F.14 is not listed under the previous versions in the download section). I am running vista 32 os. F.2D is the version that is given for my model of computer on the HP software and drivers site. When I ran the updater, I remember it saying it checked compatibility before the BIOS flash and that it was the correct one. I do however have a T2250 intel processor rather than a T2060, which was the processor that my laptop was supposed to come with and I don't know if that would have any effect on which BIOS update I truly need.
Here is my question....
Before the flash the fan used to run constantly with obvious varying degrees of RPM's. After the flash, the fan doesn't seem to come on at all. It turned on once when I restarted the computer (right before it started loading vista). Other than that, I can't here a thing. However, I have used HD Tune and a very simple CPU monitor to see what kind of temps the internals are running at. My HDD (WD scorpion black 7200rpm 320GB) is running at constant 46c to 47c. Well within the manufactures specs, even under scans of the 200+gb loaded onto it. The CPU cores seem to be well within manufactures specs as well. Is this change in fan behavior due to the BIOS update, and if I should be concerned about the seemingly lack of fan activity. I use this laptop for DJ and Karaoke at 4 to 5 hour intervals about 5 days a week, and require that it not overheat.
The hard drive on my Pavilion 4070-us crashed, so I bought a replacement drive - a Samsung SSD 850 EVO, 256GB. The problem is that I can't seem to get the recovery discs to work, and neither Microsoft or HP support me. Microsoft of course tells me that they won't support for OEM versions of Windows 7, and HP said that my product has been discontinued. I own a legal copy of Windows 7....
What happens after I go through the installation process with the recovery discs is that instead of the Windows installation continuing like it's supposed to, I get "No bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key". I'm desperate, I tried two different options - one was the minimal image recovery, the other one was a factory restore. Nothing seems to work. What can I do? By the way, the original hard drive is not *completely* dead - I can still access most of the data on it.
I have an HP Pavilion g6-1d21dx Notebook PC that was originally installed with Windows 7 Home Premium. However, the hard drive started acting funny, so an SSD was put in its place and Windows 8 was installed on it. However, now I want to go back to Windows 7 Home Premium. However, I heard that since the hardware configuration of the computer was changed (via the hard drive), the OEM key (which I still have), wouldn't take. Will it work or will it not?
