i have hp pavilion g7 with windows 8.1 64 bit.every thing works fine but when i play a game scroll pad does not work,it does not click and doesnot move up down or left right.i have installed driver for scrollpad 63735synpantic.but its still same.i play gta sa and tomb raider games.

since the start, the scroll option will sometimes work, and sometimes not... i've written to lenovo (On site warranty) and they switched out my motherboard + touchpad. That didnt work either, sometimes it works fine, but sometimes it just wont react at all?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a MacBook Pro (MBP) with OSX 10.5.6. I use Logitech Bluetooth (BT) mouse and it works OK under OSX.
However, in Boot Camp running Windows XP SP2, the scroll wheel does not work. Everything else, like left and right buttons work. I tried it with another BT mouse and it's the same thing.
If I tried using regular wireless mouse, everything works.
How to make my touch-pad scroll function work? I drag my fingertip up or down the right side of the pad, on the line, and get nada, zip. If i hold down the left click key i can scroll with the window slide bar but thats it. I have checked all of the settings for mouse that I know about. .

I have tried;
updating the driverreinstalled original drivertroubleshoot compatibility on the originaltried a battery remove / hold power button option These have not fixed my scroll at all. No other gestures are working either... The Synaptics pointing devide driver is installed at this time.
The only thing I CAN DO is point-and-click on by touchpad.
I have followed advice on changing settings on the mousepad in the control panel, in my settings it shows I have enabled (ticked) all of 2 finger scrolling vertical and horizontal and one finger scrolling vertical and horizontal, and have clicked apply, however the touchpad still won't let me scroll on pages. All i can use the touchpad for is to click and moe the pointer around the page. It used to work until recently and I only bought the laptop in January. This is very frustrating as i bought the laptop for study use as an open uni student I have to read a lot of journals so thesudden lack of non scrolling is extremely awkward.
I have tried the changing of settings (once I found the control panel) already so how to get this to work again.
i can use the touch pad to move around but edge swipes don't work so i cant change from app to app and i cannot function zooming using the touch pad or scrolling either ?
View 8 Replies View RelatedThe laptop is a Pavilion G7 with Windows 7 64-bit. The machine was given to me under the premise of "Internet does not work". The wireless properties and LAN settings say that the laptop is connected and has Internet access. I can ping outside addresses from the machine, and can ping the machine from other devices. It also pulls a valid ip address according to an ipconfig. However, when you try to pull up a website, it gives a "website cannot be found" page. This happens on IE, Firefox, and Chrome. All chipset drivers, ethernet drivers, and wireless drivers have been uninstalled and reinstalled. They are the newest drivers available from HP's website. I have even replaced the wireless NIC thinking it may just be a bad card. I've checked the IPv4 settings and all is set right. Thinking of possible DNS issues I tried using straight IP addresses to connect to webpages but all to no avail. Are there BIOS issues that would affect this?

I went to the device mgr. i uninstalled it, close the computer down, restarted the computer went the device mgr.enable the writer i got little yellow prompt. writer still does not work. I have already read some forum posts and did some steps like:
1: install latest drivers for Ralink bluetooth device
2: Uninstall the Ralink bluetooth device
3: Disabled Ralink bluetooth device from device manager
But nothing worked for me.

The Wi-Fi adapter Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 worked on windows 7, but fails on windows 8.1. Tried to find the driver on the broadcom but not found. Device Manager indicates only problem with a PCI device. Problems with the Wi-Fi adapter does not specify.
My HP Deskjet 3510 printer can not be detected after windows 8.1. My computer is a HP Pavilion g6. Now I wish I never clicked to install, I wish they would just send me windows 7.

I formatted the harddrive and loaded Windows Vista Business 64 bit. I downloaded and installed all drivers that were recommended by HP but my Sound and Audio doesn't work. "This PC is not supported by the System Recovery Discs. You will not be able to continue to recover this system with these discs."
Error code: 0100-30FC-3602-3603
The original hard drive was a Hitachi, 320 GB SATA
The new hard drive is a WD 500 GB SATA
