I have bought new hp pavilion 14 n232tu model. I am unable to find vertical scrollbar driver for my touchpad. i have already installed alps touch pad driver but scrollbar is not working with that driver. Also i have installed 'synaptics driver' of other hp models, but could not get the result,so i have uninstalled it.

My ageing XPS M1710 seems to be having an issue since upgrading it to Windows 8. With Windows 8, it's runs lovely, a lot quicker than other OS's, but recently the graphics card seems to be having problems.
I was unable to find a Win 8 driver for the 7950 GTX so I'm using the Nvidia 179.48 Win 7 64bit driver, in order to get the full 1920 resolution. However I seem to keep getting a problem where I get zig zag lines across the screen, sometimes blacks out and comes back with a warning that the Nvidia Vista driver stopped work and recovered.I've read various posts talking about adjusting power save options, underclocking and heat. Also noticed a post that it's more common on 64bit systems than 32 so I'm tempted to rebuild it with 32bit media rather than the 64 I could only get my hands on at the time.
I am unable to find the ethernet driver for the Vostro 1000 laptop. I found the wireless drivers and all other drivers for the computer.

I've tried to use the driver posted in here: [URL] ..... but that did not work for me. I just get bluescreen when I try to install, I've tried all 4 verisions of the driver but none works. I boot on the dvd and press f6 to add the driver before the installation but I need some other driver......

Although, I just can't find a internet driver for my laptop model. I know there is one. I've seen HP experts provide drivers to other people on the forum while they downgraded as well just like me.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWLAN is shown in device manager as functional, it even can find networks in range and everything. But when I want to connect to a network it gets to a point when it asks me for the username and pass, and stops there. The error sometimes says that it can't identify the server or that i should just try to reconnect. I tried connecting to various networks, and I can't even make it tell me that my pass is wrong... It seems that it isn't able to communicate with the server. It passes Intel wlan tests until the 'association' test.
Rainstalling the drivers and/or the windows didn't help, should I send it for RMA?
After downgrading from windows 8 to windows 7 the usb slot on the right side of the laptop is working, nut the two on the left hand side are not working. Windows driver search says no driver found and unidentified ERROR.

Laptop: HP touchscreen Pavilion 15 notebook 15-n088ca with windows 8.1 (fully updated)
Router: D-Link Dual Band AC1000 2.5GHz & 5GHz bands DIR-810L
I set up the router and worked out the kinks and updated the software. My laptop finds and connects with the 2.5GHz Band anywhere in the house. My laptop does not even find or see the 5GHz Band. However my Galaxy Tablet finds both bands and can connect with both, thought the 5GHz seems weaker.
I noticed that my Galaxy Tablet finds a lot more wi fi networks than my laptop (that are in houses around the street). I believe my laptop should find the 5Ghz Band and be able to connect. So I'm hoping this is a software or driver issue, and just a setting that needs to be adjusted. I don't know much about Wi Fi drivers, but I"m a Vista survivor, so I should be able to solve this.

I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6154tx laptop. My current version of BIOS installed is Hewlett-Packard F.1B, 05/10/11.I wanted to check if my BIOS is up to date, and if there was a newer version of BIOS available.
So I went to the HP Support page for laptops (URL...) and chose Pavilion Notebooks > Models dv4000 to dv6999 > dv6000 Entertainment Notebook PC series > Matching products outside the United States.
But alas, I could not find my laptop's model listed there. There's dv6150tx and then it jumps to dv6161ea, but no dv6154tx. Is there any other way I can update my laptop's BIOS?
I have an elitebook 820 with windows 7. I would like to know how i can change setting of the touchpad on the laptop. Problem description: First off both plugged in mice and the touch pad work. I would like to disable the touchpad when typing. According to Google searches and HP support the touch pad should be able to be disabled and enabled by double tapping in the top left hand coner of the touchpad. This doesnt work.
Diagnostics: So far I have upgraded the BIOS to 01.05. Updated the firmware Intel Entry Management Engine (ME) Firmware Component to 9.0.22.1467. These 2 were under the guidance of HP support.
Uninstalled and reinstalled the Synaptics TouchPad Driver (International). I have tried both 17.0.18.23 and 17.0.18.17. These both fail with the following error message below
Worth noting: After I uninstalled then reinstall the Synaptics application doesnt return to the add remove programs list.In device manager the touchpad doesnt list under mice and other pointing devices.I have declined HPs offer to have the touchpad replaced as its not just 1 machine, its all 20 of them. Also it works fine during normal use.
I just picked up an Inspiron 13 Signature Edition from the Microsoft Store. Pretty decent hardware so far. This is the model with Core i5, 8 GB RAM and 1080p screen, and was only CAD$699+tax after a $100 discount.
I noticed in store that I could not find any options to change touchpad behaviour in detail. Specifically I would like to disable single tap to click (considering this touchpad can press-click I'd rather not accidentally tap-click). I would also love it if I could have the gesture working where triple-tap is like a middle mouse button press.the non-Signature edition of this unit comes with Dell's touchpad driver and all I'd have to do is get the driver from Dell. However when I entered the service tag into Dell's site I did not find a Touchpad driver. I found one from Synaptics for its smaller cousin the Inspiron 11 and guessed it might be the same pad but I could not get the driver to work successfully.
