Acer Aspire One 753 :: Not Connecting To WiFi After Using Recovery Manager
Dec 21, 2014
After using the inbuild recovery manager on my Aspire one 753 my laptop will not conect to Wireless internet. I think the problem has somthing to do with drivers but i am not sure.
My wifi was working perfectly before the restore and then stopped working after the restore. I did the restore to get rid of my data and start fresh for next years school yeat.
I have HP Pavillion DV6 6115tx laptop and accidently i deleted the Drivers And Applications Source For Recovery Manager from C:.. Now I want to get that source back.
Product HP Pavillion DV6 6115tx OS Windows 7 64Bit
The hard drive on HP G62t-350 CTO Notebook was failing. I was able to create a recovery USB in the Recovery Manager. I installed a new 120 GB SSD. The original hard drive was larger, can't remember now but 250 or 500 GB. I know the Recovering the System after the Hard Drive is Replaced (Windows 7) says "To avoid problems, install a hard drive as large or larger than the replaced hard drive," but that's a question for later.
Computer booted fine from USB (in fact, is set to boot from USB if present by default). Recovery Manager starts. I choose minimal install. It goes through the process of partitioning the SSD and copying files. Then says to remove external media and reboot, computer will reboot several times during the process, blah, blah, blah. I pull out the USB and reboot, but after POST I get "No bootable media present".
If I try to reboot leaving the USB in, it boots to USB and we're back at the beginning. I am able to confirm with a rescue disk that the SSD has one NTFS partition that has had Windows files copied to it, and a large amount of unallocated space. (Something like 60%/40%.)
How do I make the hard drive bootable, and if it were bootable, would the recovery process complete? What's going on with the partitions? Is it creating the recovery partition first, and then after boot the recovery partition installs the OS? If so, I might have to abandon this process because since I'm moving to smaller storage, I don't want to devote half of the drive to a recovery partition.
i have hp pavilion g6 notebook pc laptop...but it does not contain recovery disk and whenever i create recovery disk from recoverry manager it failed to verify disk 1 and show the message "insert another disk " it happen again and again ...what to do....
I'm having probs connecting wireless my Acer Aspire 8730. I had this issue 5 days into buying this laptop. It seems to be an intermittant problem as sometimes it connects fine but other times it doesn't. Sometimes it finds other available networks but not my router. Comet sent the laptop back to Acer who insist there's not a problem with the network card. I did find a setting on my router for extended range that we have checked but the problem still persists. If I connect via the ethernet cable then no problems but if I sit the laptop next to the router it still doesn't connect wireless. It seems to have completely lost the plot over Christmas and can now find absolutely nothing wirelessly. I could try changing the router but I'm a bit loathed to do this as we have aother laptop that runs fine via my router. I'm not sure where to go from here as I know both Comet and Acer will deny there's a problem.
my wireless cut out this afternoon having worked since i bought this laptop a year ago. i've tried the 'repair' route. i've looked at the device manager and it is supposedly working, but i've had to plug into the wireless router with a physical wire to get connected to the internet. the message i am getting is that windows cannot connect to my preferred network (the one i've been using for a year).
I need the recovery disc for my laptop HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC, Product Number: A4G29AVI don't have the Recovery Manager program in my computer, I don't know why.
I need to download the Recovery Manager for windows 8, my laptop is the HP TouchSmart 15-b130eaI had to replace the HDD and install windows 8, since doing this i have now managed to sort out the original HDD and found that the recovery partition is still intact with all the files needed to do a full Factory Restore, sadly i canot do this, unless i can download the RM for windows 8?
I have purchased Hp Envy 4 with windows 7 recently, By accidently I have lost recoveryMgr.exe files which was originally in D drive.. how can I re download this, (I formatted d drive accidenly)
I just got a Aspire 5520 from a friend. Before I restored it to factory i was able to connect to my secure wireless network. Now that i have restored it, I can connect but then the enet mangatment will connect but then disconnect. but the windows icon says its connected. but it will not get past my router or anything and if i try to acess my router from my aspire it will not load the page. my router is fine i have several other devieces connected to it that have no problem. I have checked my router settings to make sure the settings in the comp is right i have a wpa2-personal with a apk securtiy. the router itslef is a belkin n600. since this machine is not under warrenty i cann't ask acer support. Also i can connect to any unsecured with no problem
I bought a new ext. harddrive (Verbatim 3.5" 1TB QUAD INTERFACE) in order to connect it to my laptop (Acer Aspire 5930, Win Vista, SP1) via eSATA port. However this does not work at all. The computer simply does not detect the hard drive. The same trouble appeared when i tried to connect the drive to another machine, so it is possible its simply broken down. But the USB connection works pretty well.
I have a Western Digital 1TB USB 3.0 external drive. I am connecting it to the correct (blue) USB 3.0 port on my Acer Aspire 5755-6647 laptop which runs Windows 7 x64.
Upon connection, I get the "This device can perform faster: This USB Mass Storage Device can transfer information faster if you connect it to a Super-Speed USB 3.0 port" message. When copying files off the drive, I get about 32 MB/s, which corresponds to USB 2.0 speeds.
I have tried disabling USB power management in the USB 3.0 Host Controller Utility. I have tried uninstalling the device and reinstalling it. The cable I am using came with the drive and is a USB 3.0 cable. I have the newest Renesas USB 3.0 driver installed (2.0.34.0). I have also tried using an older Renesas driver. My BIOS is up to date (P5WE0121).
The first time I connected this drive to my laptop, it was on a USB 2.0 port (I had for some reason misremembered which side of the laptop had the 3.0 port and didn't check for blue). As I said, though, I've uninstalled the device completely. I suspect that Windows may be "remembering" the device and installing it with the 2.0 driver.
Ok. My laptop won't connect to the internet. It connectes to the wifi fine but will not connect to the internet. I tried hardwiring and that won't work either. All other devices connect fine. I uninstalled that and it worked fine. I am unable to find that now. The router is a Verizon Fios / Actiontec router M142RWR.
My new Inspiron is having an issue with connecting to my home wifi. The router (UPC TC 7200 U) is set to 5 GHz on Channel 40 with n-standard and delivers a strong signal on all other devices that are connected.According to the product description the Inspiron 7000 should have no problems finding this network as it has a dual-band wifi card. The issue also doesn't lie with the router as other new devices that I brought to my home can find and connect to the network without any problems.I downloaded and installed the current intel and dell drivers for the wifi card; still I cannot find the 5GHz network on my new dell.
Whenever i turn on my laptop it connects to the wi-fi for a brief period of time and then disconnects and i have to reconnect to the network manually. after doing this, it takes an extremely long time to autoconnect and says "connecting to the network is taking longer than usual".
I have the "Intel(R) Centrino(R) Wireless-N 2230" Wi-Fi Card/Adapter and the Driver version is "15.10.3.2" i'm not sure if this is the newest version but i have tried to update and wasn't able to successfully do so.
Also this occurs on any wifi i connect to, even wi-fi that i connect to for the first time takes an extremely long time to connect (2-5 mins).
We have found that the latest driver for the Intel Ultimate-N 6300 AGN WiFi adapter for Windows 7 64 bit gives NETwNs64 Event 5060 errors when connecting to WiFi using Radius (Certificate) authentication.
We have tried Network_Driver_597FG_WN_15.01.1000_A02 which is the latest on the Dell web site..We have tried Wireless_15.3.1_Ds64 which is the latest on the Intel web site.We have had to revert to the NIC_DRVR_WIN_R292654 which is version 14.0.1.2 driver which is both stable and does not give errors in the event log. Given that we do not have issues with the version 14.0.1.2 driver, we intend to stay with that until advised otherwise.
Last week I bought an Acer Aspire E1-572 and from day one it keeps freezing to the point where I can't even access the Task Manager. Googling around this seems to be quite a common complaint. Is this an issue with Acers or Windows 8/8.1.
I just updated my Acer Aspire 5735 notebook from 3gb DDR2 to 4gb DDR2. The bios now detects 4gb total as does Vista's System Page (Control Panel/System in Ultimate 64bit)
However when i go to task manager/performance my total physical memory shows up as 3000MB and the Physical Memory Usage graph seems to reflect this 3gb total.
Is there something I need to do to get vista to detect and utilise the 4gb total?
The laptop is HP Pavilion G4 running Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit).
I just re-install my laptop from Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) to Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit). But i just realized that there's no 'HP Connection Manager', so i downloaded it from internet.
When i turned on the wifi from 'HP Connection Manager', it said "Wi-Fi (Wireless LAN) is Disabled by Device Manager". What should i do then?
ive just finished setting up my new acer ES1-512, And was about to make my recovery media through the acer console in windows 8.1, and the program will not open ? i get to the part where it wants me to allow the program to make changes, but then nothing happens ? i have tried going to the file location its self to to start the program but this makes no difference, ive looked all over acers site to see if i can re-download the console but have found nothing?
Tried to do a restore to factory image... Got error code 0x241... Computer is hung up at Windows Boot Manager, going around in circles... Can't accomplish tasks on windows boot manager and can't get out of window...
