i havn't used my DvD burner in aprox 3 month's and it was working fine with Nero 7 Premium. i have just atempted to burn a dvd when that error come up "Power Calibration Error" the dvd burner that i have is Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-845S. i don't know what to do. i am running a Aspire 5672WLMI

I got a mid 2009 MBP last week, I decided to calibrate its battery based on apple instruction, I charged it fully, after 2 hours I disconnected it for complete discharging, but I left my MBP and it went to sleep for 10 minutes, I turn it on again and finished calibration process, Is it necessary to re-calibrate it because of that 10 MINs sleeping?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased a dv4-1275mx special edition, and would like to calibrate the battery. The battery is suppose to last up to 6 hours (I'm expecting about 4-4.5). Does it screw up the calibration if I am using it while letting the battery run down. I have the screen turn off disabled and the sleep disabled, but I am using a screen saver.

I've got the 9C84 which is the LG/Philips LP154WP3-TLA1 as far as Google says.
You can check your display manufacturer in System Preferences click Displays, go to Color tab and "Open Profile". In this list scroll down to number 17 which is "Apple display make and model information".
This is what Google says:
9C84 = LG/Philips LP154WP3-TLA1 (15" MacBook Pro)
9C85 = Chi Mei N154C6-L04 (15" MacBook Pro)
9C89 = LG/Philips LP133WX2 (MacBook UniBody)

There are quite a few people sharing their calibrations on Macrumors and other forums, I've tried some of them and frankly, they're either too blue or too bright...........
I have Dell laptop D-610, and i have sixty GB hard disk.
I have 4 partition of hard disk, i used partition magic 8.0 for resizing all partition, during this operation power failed although my bettary was not charged. When I again start my pc partition magic8.0 give me error 626.
Now window is running normal but my one partition is not showing, in partition magic it show PQRS format and unreadable, now I am able to reopen this partition.
Has anyone successfully managed to calibrate the LED backlit screen with an Eye-One display 2 calibration tool?
If so can you please met me know how.Everytime I try the resulting profile makes the colours too vivid and contrasty.

So my battery from my Thinkpad e420s Laptop was broken and I ordered a new one and exchange it. But now when I go to the Power Manager it says Battery Error and I cant charge it. And when I take out the power plug it shuts down immediately. What can I do?

Also, I have recently upgraded from Win 7 to Win 8; could this have contributed to the problem? It was working perfectly until this up-grade.

When the computer turns on, or I insert the charger, the following error message appears:"The AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Your system will operate slower and battery will not charge. This problem might be solved by: Ensure the plug is inserted completely for best system operation. Connect a Dell 130W AC Adapter or higher." I first encountered this problem a few months ago but on occasion, I have managed to get it working by taking the charger in and out a few times.
Though over the last couple of days, it won't charge at all. I have tried using another charger, which yielded the same results; though it was not the exact same charger and actually has a lesser power output. I also checked the bios during start-up, and next to AC Adapter Type was 'Unknown'. Though the charger can power on the laptop without the battery inserted. Just yesterday, my computer also started operating a lot slower, at an almost unusable speed and I think this might be related.
My Yoga 2 Pro battery is discharging is rather quickly. I have seen this forum that I can perform a battery calibration with Battery Manager.
My question is: should I do it while my Yoga 2 is plugged with on the AC adapter or not? If not, should I do it when the battery is at 100%?
I used supercal to calibrate my screen and I liked what it looked like before so how do I go back to the stock Leopard calibartion without reinstalling Mac osx?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf the system has been on battery at any point of the session, color calibration seems to mess itself up according to what's on screen. If darker colors dominate the screen, the colors slowly (but visibly) go all weird. When there's mostly white content on screen, it returns to normal.
I've been browsing some power management settings and none of them seems to relate to this. The system is W520 with FHD screen, Intel 8.15.10.2538 drivers, Nvidia 332.21 drivers, Windows 7. This does not occur in Ubuntu, nor on an external monitor.
I have been having issues with my battery since a year after purchase. Battery replacement error pops up. The power adapter usually quits lighting up, then it would light up. Today the laptop went dead and the adapter will not light up at all! Is it battery or adapter or both?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have an Aspire 6930 that suddenly died and will not power on. The LED power button was dark and unresponsive. I performed a power reset and the blue light on the power button came back on until I pressed the button to try to restart the laptop. When I did that, the blue LED immediately went dark and stayed that way until I did another power reset. It never gets to the point of anything powering on. Is it a problem with the battery or it the laptop toast?
This is a real bummer since I just replaced the hard drive a few weeks ago and replaced Windows Vista with Linux Mint (which btw is blazing fast compared to Vista).
Acer 5253 - Will not power on, battery or on AC power. Have tried all the suggested solutions but none have worked. Is it possible to get maintenace instructions (disassembly, where certain items are located, etc)?
View 9 Replies View RelatedSince the past couple of days I am receiving this Error 2102: Detection error in HDD2 during every cold/warm boot. It pops up even after a complete powerdown for overnight and boot up the next day. Further, the boot itself has become very slow - shows blank screen until the Thinkpad logo is displayed, followed by which the error message pops up.

I got my 430s, and it's with a 16Gb mSATA SSD cache inside. Now everytime when I open my PC, it shows Error 2101 Detection error on HDD2 (mini sata) and I need to press ESC to continue. Is there any software or driver's problem, or it just phsically got wrong?

HP dv7-3065dx Entertainment Notebook. Win 7.
HP battery alert system detected battery capacity to be very low error 601 (internal battery). So I changed the cell to a new CR 2032 battery. Showed the same error. I changed to another new CR2032 battery. The second time I did this I had a new 502 CMOS error along with the 601 error. My clock reverted back to 2009, I lost some of the icons on the lower right, and my wireless internet disappeared.
Now I have two things that need to be fixed.
I turned on, immediately hti ESC, hit system diag. F2, Battery Test:
Battery Test Primary FAILED (on the first battery I put in, didn't check on the second)
Control - Device Mgr. - HP - Batteries - Microsoft AC Adapter, Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery, and Microsoft Composit Battery all show that they work.
System CMOS/realtime clock says its working.
Microsoft System Mgmt. - BIOS Driver v. 6.1.7601.17514 from 6/21/2006 says it's the latest version.
I've manually updated my clock. I'll figure out the wireless and icons later I guess. Just need to know what to do about the errors.
Was using the Acer Arcade and was informed about the latest patch by the Live Update.
I ran the install patch and during install the McAfee informed me that two of the files were trojams and had to be removed. The files were CL26934.RRA and CLDO7416.RRA, so now when I stick my blu-ray into the drive I get an unexpected error from the Acer Arcade and it won't run.
So where did the files go, and why would ACER put out a patch that conflicts with the pre-installed anti-virus?
i have a 1705 with 7900gs. ive been getting alot of nmi errors nonparity memory errors. so i replace my old mem stick with two brand new ones. well this did not solve the issues. so i reflash my 7900 back to default and still getting this error. i reformat my machine often so im pretty sure the os is affecting it.

After installation i turned off the UAC and started the 7loader and did all the procedures. But when i restarted win wont start and remained with the promt command flashing and nothing happens.
Acer 5920g with 8600m gt 2gb vista.
Many full screen games go black after an unkown period of time.
The game freezes and will not recover, background music can still be heard. The ! tray icon tells me display has had an error and recovered.
Happens with Crysis, Assassins Creed, and Mass Effect.
Regular use, applications, COD4MP and older games are unaffected.
I initially was under the impression that this was due to TMM looking for alternate displays, but it since has been disabled.
This was happening with released drivers, updated to 177.92 and the issue was not resolved.
It is unpredictable, games run smooth until crash. Temp is usually kind of warm but nothing extreme, low/mid 60c at time of crash.
The niece brought her Acer Aspire 3680-2682 laptop to me it would not boot to windows, after POST getting an error message:

but before that, when I power on the unit, it says:

When it had done it 80-90 %, it started all over again three-four times. It stopped always somewhere between 80-90%. It took 1-2 hours to get Vista installed on this computer, after several restarting. After I got Vista installed, then Windows-updates won't work. The system freezes always when trying to get updates. Browser Firefox crashes all the time, even task manager crashes..
Is the computer broken or is there something terrible wrong with vista? Maybe problem with memory? Motherboard? Corrupted harddisk, install-files? And yes, no cd's came with.. I didn't even manage to burn eRecovery dvd's (needed two disks). After one disk the eRecovery just stopped and said, that disk cannot be created.
