Acer :: Aspire 1362i- Screen Goes Blank
Nov 30, 2008I have an Acer Aspire 1362i. Lately when I am working on the laptop, the screen has been going blank for no apparant reason. This can happen on startup, after 1, 5 or 10 minutes. where to start Troubleshooting this problem?

Jul 27, 2009I have an Aspire 5610 with 2G ram running vista home premium. I had a few explorer windows open, and was getting memory warnings. I shut a few windows down, and a few hours later, the screen turned blank. I reboot the computer, but the problem persists. Now it turns out if I remove the power supply, and run it on battery, everything is fine. As soon as I instert the power supply chord, screen goes blank (black). Upon removing the power supply, if I shut and open the screen, it works again (and it also shows me a warning message that the wireless is in use, and if I really want to turn the antenna off).
The screen obviously is fine, as it runs fine on battery. I don't understand what is happening as soon as I insert the power supply, and why upon removing the power supply, I get a warning on turning off the antenna.
Acer Aspire E1-570 :: Blank Screen After Boot
Feb 13, 20152 days ago I had trouble accessing the internet on my E1-570. Windows Explorer kept throwing up a fault and restoring the page. Eventually I loaded Safari and then Firefox and resolved to sort the problem with Windows Explorer some time in the future. This may be unrelated to what happened the next night. Started the E1 and got the usual "Acer, Explore beyond limits" screen and spinning dots, then got the login screen - input password then return. Spinning dots for much longer than usual then blank screen. I can see the cursor arrow so the screen itself must be functioning. Lights on the front are working - AC, battery and HDD. I have had the machine 14 months and it is used exclusively at home so has not been roughly treated.

Dec 25, 2014I normally powered off my laptop , and then when i try power on again , just a blank screen.Power light is on , no wireless light nor hdd light.I seperated all parts and renewed thermal pastes, tried to short cmos battery , tried without hdd , rams nothing on site worked..At first i wasnt able to flash bios from usb but when i tried flashing it while hdmi cable is in it worked , usb shown activity for 2minThen it powered off and on itself , but still no screen.What would i try else , cmos battery is not replaceable on this model , should i go see repairer to replace this battery?

Jan 3, 2015I watched a movie on Thursday evening and closed the lid of my acer aspire E531 laptop. (Chosen shut down method) I wanted to resume working about 2 hours later and was greeted by only a grey screen. Machine powers up but then just the blank screen. After switching on, the fan starts for about 30 seconds and then stops and then the blank (grey like screen)
I've tried some solutions posted on internet ( remove battery and hold power button; press ctr alt del twice; press F8 on start up) Nothing worked. The remove battery solution ignited some response from the machine, i.e. grey screen seemed to turn white with feint blocks in background almost checkered blocks, but very very feint.

It boots fine and the display works up to the point of "starting windows". I see the windows logo for a bit then it goes off.
If I plug into an external display it works fine. In graphics properties, the display isnt even listed (only the external display shows up).
Acer :: Aspire 6920 Dont Boot , Blank Screen
Mar 1, 2010After change BIOS set up, the Acer 6920 cannot boot.
After turn on the ACER screen apperar with F2 (Bios) and F12 (multiboot) appear. If you dont press anything a black screen appear and stay there. If you press F2 or F12 the acer screeen stay with the "Please wait" message on it and stay forever. If dont press anything the black screen appear and stay there. Never got the RAM counting screen.
Looks like a BIOS problems so got the last version, put alone in a USB , put on the note and reboot with try every F key and every Fn+F key but never got a result.
Acer :: Aspire 9113 Dead Vga Card Blank Screen
May 4, 2009Recently my Aspire 9113 started producing screen corruption during the boot process, looking something like an old version of space invaders, (text mode blocks) and then a hatched pattern in XP. It also would crash with a BSOD driver error related to the video driver. I removed the driver (FX Go7600 card) and at least the computer worked with the exception of the screen being slow to render.
I subsequently decided to investigate the BIOS and as a random act of faith decided to reset the BIOS to default settings. Since this, when the machine boots the screen is blank(black) during POST and XP boot up. I can still login to XP so I assume that everything else is OK.
As I removed the driver I don't think I can switch the display to an external LCD although if the card really is gone then I guess this wouldn't work.

Nov 26, 2009I just got this brand new Acer Aspire 5534 notebook (laptop) a few days ago. The wireless has been working just fine and all the systems are functioning as well. last night when i turned on my laptop and went onto the internet the screen on the webpages were flashing violently. The flashing is worse when i move my cursor, type, or if the page loads. Some sites like Facebook and google the flashing gets worse while im on them.
I have tried changing my battery settings, uploading "drivers" and updates, and disconnecting my wireless. I know that the problem doesn't lie in my wireless network itself since the problem occurs no matter what wireless network im using. my LAN communication network indicator is flashing orange. I have heard that this means that the wireless is connecting with my laptop incorectly or sending "traffic" or something. I am assuming that maybe the problem is with the way my computer is recieving wireless or something realating to that since i can be on any network and the orange LAN light flashes and the screen flashes too.

My mozilla firefox is slow to open and is not connecting to any websites other than the homepage. It upgraded to the newest version when I first tried to open it and then it slowly opened up. Google chrome opens up quickly but then freezes when I try to go to another website. My computer runs windows 8.1 64 bit system. What could be causing the hangup and internet issues on my laptop? I was able to log in and browse the internet just fine last night, and these problems just started happening this afternoon.

One of the service center person told that it could be a CPU fan problem. He replaced it, but still the problem persists. Warranty period is expired for my laptop.

Dec 24, 2009I used the nVidia VGA BIOS mod a few weeks ago, this is probably not my problem, though. I booted blindly using the USB stick (had to remove the HDD) and flashed the old BIOS, yet I still get a blank screen.
Before this happened, my laptop was acting really sluggish for some reason, so I thought I should restart to fix it, I did that and it came up as a blank screen! First restart, it seemed to boot to the OS, next time, it did not.
It's pretty much like the 5315 post (what a coincidence).

Nov 4, 2007I got an Aspire 1360...has worked great since the last month. The wireless has been having a mind of its own. All of my other wireless computers are working and theres no router conflict. I can stand right beside the router and there will be no connection. I took out the wireless card underneath and put it back in hoping that it would do something to make it work...but sure enough its going all wacko. Sometimes it'll stay at 54/sec or it'll go down to 24, back up to 36 and then to 1mbps all within a matter of like 3 seconds...

Mar 9, 2015Just bought an Acer Aspire E15 and have been setting it up today and managed to get connected to the internet through the wi-fi however I have noticed that the wifi keeps dropping and leaves me with nothing and then I have to manually go in and select the router again. This is happening all the time, I am on the internet for no longer than 2 mins before I get the unable to access the network. There is no problem with the network it just seems to be my new laptop. I looked this up and was told to change the power management settings and did so and am still have the same problem. I also updated the driver and again am still having the problem.
