I've been playing around with this tool and noticed that EVERY TIME I shutdown or reboot, during the webcam initialization on startup I get a message that it is temporarily suspended because I manually did something and to wait 10 seconds. Am I doing something wrong logging off/shutting down?

I am going to order an Inspiron 1545 with the facial recognition, but my Studio 1537 is the laptop I use most frequently. It has a 2MP camera but somehow the FastAccess was not offered as an option. I would like to use the facial recog program on my Studio 1537 instead of the Inspiron 1545.

i am using the microsoft 8000 bluetooth wireless, other than that my cam & facial recognition does not work, i don't see any driver on Dell site for the cam. Everything else seems to work fine for now.
So I had the Upek fingerprint reader on my old M1530 and loved it but the new SXPS 1640 I have only came with the Facial Recognition and it blows. I was thinking about getting a upek usb fingerprint reader and buying the PS software, but I was wondering if it will run fine on my system and whether or not it would be worth it?

View 3 Replies View Relatedlast night i was working on my laptop, i realize my battery is low. so, i put it for charging..after a while i realized the battery is 75% charged so I disconnect it. and my laptop switches off.
later the laptop refused to turn on...so i reconnected the charger and the laptop turned on with the light that displays charging status (white light near the screen-keyboard intersection) starts flickering in a cycle of 5 times...4 times orange and 1 time white...and this cycle continues till i use the laptop.
and this message is displayed when i go to BATTERY HEALTH option "Your battery is temporarily disabled. Please turn off your computer and try again when the unit is back to the operational temperature" my laptop is outta warranty.
I am using Dell XPS 15 L502x model from past 18 months. Suddenly I noticed mu battery indicator is blinking in orange and white color while it was charging. So just opened More Power options and found that "Battery is temporarily disabled" message. So shut down my device and opened the battery and again insert it. Then I try to switch on my device and found that battery is temporarily disabled due to high temperature but it was in normal room temperature.
So I start observing the issue and found that while the device charging level reached to 98 -99 %, it starts blinking. if I turned off battery charging then when it reached to 94-92 % level it start behaving as a normal condition and also blinking is stopped. The device has a 9 cell battery in it and still I'm getting more than 4 hours of back up in normal working load.
I recently purchased Dell Inspiron 3542 (Nov14), and I'm getting a battery error when my house is a bit cold."Your battery is temporarily disabled. Please turn off your computer and try again when the unit is back to the operational temperature"...This message shows up at bios check and only option is for me to press f2 to enter bios, which doesn't give me any other option. This occurs very frequently, and I never saw such an issue with any other laptop I have owned.
To test, I removed the battery and ran the PC plugged in -- and it worked just fine. Is there a way to prevent this message from showing up and allowing me to use the laptop?
I have a new Dell Inspiron 11, 3000 series laptop. It has given me this message at least 3 times recently, "your battery is temporarily disabled. please turn off your computer and try again when the unit is back to the operational temperature." I ran the Dell Diagnostic and it didn't find anything. I also used the Dell Technical Support, but nothing came up there either.

There's a lag of a few seconds (10) that is frustrating when I want to use the device as a laptop. The touchpad becomes unresponsive and I have to wait or use touch to continue...

View 15 Replies View RelatedI have a new Netgear router because my old one died. From everything I can tell it is the exact same router I had before just brand new. Perhaps the firmware is different but I kept it updated so don't know for sure.
Basically what is happening is when I start iChat it will just sign in and sign out extremely rapidly until the account is temporarily disabled because I logged in and out too often. I click the icon and it logs in an out faster than I can count instantly then BAM the error message.
Have no idea whats going on. Don't have any other network at my disposal right now to try this on so I can't say if it is the router or a random problem with iChat. AIM works fine on my phone so I know it isn't the account.
I'm going to restart right now and then try 7 and see if the problem still persists but has anyone heard of a problem like this? Very strange.
My MBP is up to date software side. Made no new changes.
Works fine in Windows 7. AIM starts up without issue.
I can only login in websites using facial login from windows explorer. Does any other browsers support the software ?

In all other condition its working prety well. What shuld be the problem please make me know...

when i check, it seems that the system only recognizes up to 238 ram and 238 is the number that keeps showing up. this is extremely troublesome cause im trying to install ubuntu but many problems keep occurring cause i need 256 ram for it.
is there any way i can get the 700mto recognize the full 256 ram?

I notice that the FAservice (Fast access) uses more than 1% of the CPU all the time. That is too much for me. Such a service should be near 0% as the welcome page is off.
Do you experience the same thing?
I don't uninstall it at the moment but if I can't find a solution I will do to not short my time on batteries soon.

I have a Dell D630 Latitude laptop that connects to most Wifi Networks, but NOT my home network.In fact, It doesn't even show the network when I pull up area networks. It doesn't show any networks at all. However, when I take it to a Starbucks or McDonalds, I can not only find a network, but I can get on the Internet just fine !Do I have something blocking the network from being seen? Is my virus program Microsoft Essentials blocking the network for some reason?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was trying to update my old studio 1737, and updated the BIOS to A09 while doing an otherwise thorough and effective diagnostic (from Dell website). Now when the BIOS does identify my hard drive its inaccurate (intermittent ID of the HDD, showing no HDD sometime and a Samsung other times). So, laptop fails to boot, saying operating system not found. Am trying to flash BIOS using last working version on USB stick, following advice found on internet. Well out of warranty period.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having a big issue trying to get speech recognition working. When I speak into the microphone, the volume level hardly registers unless I tap on the device. I have Mic Boost turned up to +10db and I don't have any of the effects checked. I also unchecked the "allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" radio box for both the Speakers and the Microphone.
I have reinstalled the drivers from Acer's website and then from Realtek's website--neither worked.
