I have a new Dell Inspiron 11, 3000 series laptop. It has given me this message at least 3 times recently, "your battery is temporarily disabled. please turn off your computer and try again when the unit is back to the operational temperature." I ran the Dell Diagnostic and it didn't find anything. I also used the Dell Technical Support, but nothing came up there either.

Please turn off your computer and try again when the unit is back to the operational temperature"...This message shows up at bios check and only option is for me to press f2 to enter bios, which doesn't give me any other option. This occurs very frequently, and I never saw such an issue with any other laptop I have owned.
To test, I removed the battery and ran the PC plugged in -- and it worked just fine. Is there a way to prevent this message from showing up and allowing me to use the laptop?
II bought my laptop 2 months ago and one day when I turn a message appears that says "Your battery is temporarily disabled. Please turn off your computer and try again When the unit is back to the operational temperature".And just let me choose 2 options to continue or enter the bios.I update the bios to the latest version and change my battery, nothing has solved my problem. when I unplug the AC adapter, the computer shuts down. View 15 Replies View Relatedlast night i was working on my laptop, i realize my battery is low. so, i put it for charging..after a while i realized the battery is 75% charged so I disconnect it. and my laptop switches off.
later the laptop refused to turn on...so i reconnected the charger and the laptop turned on with the light that displays charging status (white light near the screen-keyboard intersection) starts flickering in a cycle of 5 times...4 times orange and 1 time white...and this cycle continues till i use the laptop.
and this message is displayed when i go to BATTERY HEALTH option "Your battery is temporarily disabled. Please turn off your computer and try again when the unit is back to the operational temperature" my laptop is outta warranty.
I am using Dell XPS 15 L502x model from past 18 months. Suddenly I noticed mu battery indicator is blinking in orange and white color while it was charging. So just opened More Power options and found that "Battery is temporarily disabled" message. So shut down my device and opened the battery and again insert it. Then I try to switch on my device and found that battery is temporarily disabled due to high temperature but it was in normal room temperature.
So I start observing the issue and found that while the device charging level reached to 98 -99 %, it starts blinking. if I turned off battery charging then when it reached to 94-92 % level it start behaving as a normal condition and also blinking is stopped. The device has a 9 cell battery in it and still I'm getting more than 4 hours of back up in normal working load.
I have a new Netgear router because my old one died. From everything I can tell it is the exact same router I had before just brand new. Perhaps the firmware is different but I kept it updated so don't know for sure.
Basically what is happening is when I start iChat it will just sign in and sign out extremely rapidly until the account is temporarily disabled because I logged in and out too often. I click the icon and it logs in an out faster than I can count instantly then BAM the error message.
Have no idea whats going on. Don't have any other network at my disposal right now to try this on so I can't say if it is the router or a random problem with iChat. AIM works fine on my phone so I know it isn't the account.
I'm going to restart right now and then try 7 and see if the problem still persists but has anyone heard of a problem like this? Very strange.
My MBP is up to date software side. Made no new changes.
Works fine in Windows 7. AIM starts up without issue.
I have had my Dell computer for almost 1.5 years. Yesterday while working on my laptop, I got a message saying the battery was critically low and that the PC was going to shut off. After making sure it was plugged into an outlet, I tried to restart the PC. Upon doing so, I received a message saying the battery was not recognized, not compatible, and would not be charged by the system. Now every time I start my PC, I get the same message. It does continue to charge the battery. It is the original battery that I received from Dell.
I can press enter and get passed it but it is rather annoying. I am afraid at some point that it will stop working altogether. What can I do to fix this? Has my battery gone bad? I don't think that is the issue because it still works, even when I don't have it plugged in to an outlet. Do I need to modify something in the boot menu?
I boot up my Dell Inspiron 1501 with WinXP and it always gives me this error message after the Dell logo screen appears and before windows loads........
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've been using a Dell inspiron 1545 from about 3 years now and exactly after 2 years of my buy, the battery failed and it started showing me to replace the battery and always notified me about contacting dell for a new battery.
I didn't take this of much concern so i just ignored the message and kept on using my battery with my adapter plugged in. After 4-5 months of such usage, My battery completely failed and doesn't even offer me even a minute of backup, when i remove the power socket. Then i realized the importance of a new battery and then bought a new battery from Dell.
Its the same battery with the same specs and also the same family type. After i removed my defected battery, I replaced my new bought Dell battery and realized that my battery is working fine. its charging well but at some time, it says "Plugged in, But not charging" Which is rare for any new battery, which is bought brand new.
This is how it looks now after i remove the AC adapter plug and when i depend on the battery backup. it is providing me a backup, but I see a yellow exclamatory mark beside it. Which I think should not be present. it also says "Low battery" when there's already 99% of battery left!
I've also followed some online steps
1) updated by BIOS to the latest
2) Followed some other steps like uninstalling the battery ACI in the device manager and etc...
I'm using a PA-12 family adapter, which is also a replaced one.
Started receiving the error message at startup

I did search the Internet and this forum but have not find any workable solution. My latop came with BIOS version 2.1.0 A07, tried to refresh the BIOS with the same version, and higher versions all the way to version A15 but no luck.
The battery does hold charge and the message disappear if I remove the battery and bootup with the AC adapter alone.

I recently purchased dell 15R 5520 inspiron. After 4 months of usage suddenly few days back the system showed popup message that the battery charging is disabled . So I had contacted the customer service centre and after one hour they concluded that battery be replaced. They sent a new battery for replacement but replacing with new battery showed me the same message of battery charging disabled.

There's a lag of a few seconds (10) that is frustrating when I want to use the device as a laptop. The touchpad becomes unresponsive and I have to wait or use touch to continue...
Can this be altered in Settings or is it a bug?
Every time I start up my computer I get the error message "battery charging disabled. Please shut down and wait for system to cool." Or something along those lines with options to press F1 and continue rebooting and F2 to go another menu. I can press F1 and my computer will reboot but the battery light is constantly flashing orange and I have to be plugged into my charger. I've tried looking at the battery meter and running a diagnostic test on my battery and they came out fine but something is up with my battery.

I don't know what to do. I enabled and disable smart charging. The charger works fine. The computer works fine. I just dont understand why the battery wont charge. I bought this Z710 new but I get a message saying "The battery is unauthorized". Also the battery indicator stays at "0% available (plugged in, not charging)." If I unplug the power cord, the laptop powers off cold. It has always been this way. This is a problem for me because I want to upgrade my BIOS but I can't because I get an error stating "Battry is too low (0 < 30 ). Please charge your battery to 30%." when I try.
How do I get this laptop to start interacting with its battery? I have already tried taking it out and putting it in again and rebooting.

Suddenly, I have begun to receive a message on Start Up from HP Battery Alert. The message tells me that the level of the battery is critically low and that I may have to replace it. There is a web address offered to find out more - www2.hp.com/techcenter/startup/ (that address led me to this forum)
The battery charge monitor in the far right of the status bar tells me that there is no charge in the battery so that I can't use it without the mains lead. It also tells me that it is not charging, even though the mains lead is connected.
So i bought a new refurb e531 i7 3632qm 4rb ram 500gb 7200rpm drive. Machine runs awesome however As soon as i turned it on i noticed it gave a battery not geunine message from the bios had to push esc to continue.
Ignored it figured maybe it would learn the battery or something.
Anyhow its been a good 10 hours now still give me the message as well as i noticed its not charging when plugged in. In an attempt to fix this i have.
updated bios. Uninstalled and reinstalled newest power management software and driver's shutdown system unplugged power cord pulled battery and waited 30seconds and reinsterted battery then charger.
Im so far not impressed with this geunine battery firmware built into the system cant even detect their own battery !!
I bought a Vostro 3750 last year for my wife and it didn't get used except twice. I never paid much attention to it until I turned it on this morning. I noticed the battery light blinks one white and 4 red signifying it was not charging. How do I enable battery charging on this model? I checked the documentation and did not see anything there. A similar sort of message appears before even Windows boots up, and I need to press the 'Esc' key in order for Windows to boot. This seems to have happened after a recent Windows update. I have uninstalled an reinstalled the Lenovo Power Management Driver but it does not appear to have fixed the issue. My BIOS is the latest version.

After the first power on with the new motherboard, I received an error message that said, "The exception unknown software exception (0xe0434352) occurred in the application at location 0x76b74b32." I have not seen this message again (I've since powered down and rebooted 3 times), but I'm still unsure as to whether this should be a message I should be concerned about and look further into.
