I have a Dell Inspiron 14z (N411z) and everytime i try tu use my built in camera with any program it says that there is no webcam intalled or that no webcam can be found. It was working properly a few days ago.
I am using an Acer Aspire E1-531 with Windows 7 64 bit on it. So whenever i want to use my webcam it is not found by my laptop. I tried downloading multiple drivers but none of them work (no webcam detected). Another thing is that i dont have an "Imaging Devices" section in my device manager. I've recently formatted my laptop so maybe the driver was deleted or something... I hadn't used my webcam before so i don't know if it had worked back then.
I've been using Acer Aspire E1-522 with Built-in webcam. My OS is Windows 8.1 - 64bit, the webcam not detected.I try restoring the system, but not working. I not found the driver.
I have installed a new HDD in my laptop but when I try to boot from the system disk to load the O/S I get the following message "Internal HDD not found". The BIOS sees the HDD but the laptop doesn't.
I experienced my first BSOD today on my 5 month old Inspiron. I was a little concerned but figured it'd be find and just restart. However my laptop never restarted, instead I was greeted by 'no bootable device found. Press any key to restart'
Now I've browsed the Internet and taken a few steps, firstly I ran the diagnostics in the bios and it was saying my hard drive wasn't installed. Then I followed a guide on this forum. I changed the Sata from ACHI to Intel Smart Technology, however now I'm unable to get back into the boot settings and instead my laptop just stalls on the Dell boot up screen.
All this has literally happened out of nowhere today, I run my own business and I rely heavily on my laptop. I can't afford to lose any documents. I'm baffled how it can just malfunction out of nowhere.
I just got my Inspiron 14 for my birthday in March and Its died on me (I assume). It's still under warranty, but im not entirely sure how or where to send it to get it fixed. I still have the original box it came in as well and would love to get it fixed as soon as possible, but I would rather fix it myself if possible.Upon starting the laptop, a black screen appears with the message, "No Boot Device Found. Press any key to reboot the machine". I ran a diagnostic and it said that the hard drive wasn't installed and that the CPU fan went out. I removed the back of the laptop and checked the fan which seems to be running absolutely fine. I took the error code it produced and searched it on the website and it told me to download the latest BIOS but I can't because the laptop won't start up to where I can get on the internet.
I bought a new Dell Inspiron 5547 from US.From past ten days its sayings No Bootable device found error while starting.I've checked BIOS setting HDD is not detected. But after few hours I'm able to open it.After few minutes the disk space reaches to maximum due to svchost.exe process.
I'm new to having Dell computers. Today I received a Dell Inspiron 15z 5233 laptop with windows 8 on it. It has a 32 GB SSD and 500 GB hard drive. I can not see the SSD drive in the windows file explorer, nor do I see it in the Disk Management utility from the Control Panel. However, I do see it in the Device Manager as an SSD and another Hard Drive in the Disk Drive section. The SSD driver is up to date. I have not installed any drivers on the computer except for the Serial ATA CY1HK_WN_12.8.0.1016_A03. That was only after I tried to install windows 7 and it said "No Drive Found" when I tried to select a drive to install on.
I googled what could be the problem and saw that it could be a driver issue with the SATA connection. So I got that driver (Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver) and the SK Hynix Solid State Drive Firmware update. These are the most current on Dells website. This is an older computer, says late 2012. It has an i5 Processor. The SSD is SSDPM830 mSATA in the device manager. Storage Controller: Intel Mobile Express Chipset RAID SATA controller. When I try to save a file, I do not see an SSD drive, there is only one drive, the C: drive which is the 500 GB disk drive. I hope I have supplied enough information to understand the problem.
So I put the drivers on a USB and tried to install windows 7 again, and it still shows No Drive Found, and when I tried to browse for the drivers, they do not appear on the USB. It will show all the folders on the USB, but I can not open the folder they are in. So I put them directly on the USB outside of any folders, and they still do not show up. Also, I changed it to Legacy mode, safe mode off for the boot settings.
I assumed I did not have to install any drivers on windows 8, because it detects everything automatically now days. Should I go ahead and install some drivers on windows 8?
I Purchased this laptop, (Inspiron 3521) through ebay.in and after 3 months I found that it has no factory installed image in it (but mentioned during purchase). I still have warranty till march 2015. Can I be able to replace the faulty disc with new one win8 installed.
My hard drive turned bad few days back and i now purchased a new WD3200BPVT 320 GB internal hard drive for my system. I installed it myself after reading all instructions and guidelines. But when i start it, system says, hard drive not found, try to reseat it. I have also reset it, but again same error coming. I dont know whats gone wrong with the hard drive or system..?
I have a dell Inspiron 15r 3537 i7 model with windows 8. I bought it 4 months ago. I was playing a game on it and it suddenly hanged. I waited for 5-10 minutes and tried to close the game but it wasn't closing and it was hung. I waited for atleast 15 minutes and I had no choice so I switched it off from the power button thinking that it will turn on normally. But when I switched it on it showed the dell logo and then it said

No boot device found. Press any key to reboot the machine.
I am having problems with the touchpad on my laptop. When I am in the middle of typing I have to watch because it will begin typing where my cursor was laft on the screen. I have to be very careful because I barely touch my touchpad and the mouse will click. I have tried to figure out how to turn the sensitivity down but I cannot find it in the devices. It tells me no devices were found when I click on the mouse folder. I have tried and tried but I cannot find anywhere to change the settings for the touchpad. when I am trying to type a paper and I look up and half my paper is in the middle of a different section or it just hasn't been typing because I have clicked out of the screen.
internal hard drive disk not found; no bootable devices; start up repair finds no solution..... I have reseated the hard drive several times. the computer runs extremely slow. Dell Data Safe had recommended replacing the hard drive ''couple of months" ago.
I have Inspiron 14R N4010. Its 2 years old. Its Toshiba hard drive(320 Gb) crashed 8 months before so I bought new WD hard drive(500 Gb), which also crashed again 2 weeks before(OS drive had bad sectors apperently) . Hence i got it replaced by WD for a new 500Gb hard drive.
Now, when I am trying to install OS in my new hard drive, i am getting following error:
after learning about possible mistakes by reading some forums
1) I checked that hard drive is installed properly, all connections are good. 2) DVD I'm using to install Window 7 is bootable one & i have used it before 3) BIOS settings are checked to boot fromCD/DVD drive. (It is not booting from network adapter which supposed to be reason for ethernet error as per many other forums) 4) I tried draining current by pressing power button for 20 sec to reset settings.(I read in some forum) but even that didn't worked.
BIOS is detecting hard drive...so that is also not issue. Could new hard drive be damaged? should i get this new one also replaced again? I need some way to confirm this before me sending it back to WD.
In one microsoft forum, I read for same problem
"update the basic input/output system (BIOS) to the latest version by contacting the motherboard or computer manufacturer and check if it works.Important: Modifying BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.
I put a new hard drive in my Dell Inspiron 6000 and installed Vista. That was horrible so I reinstalled Windows XP. The Wireless was working in Vista. Now when I try to see Dell WLAN it comes up No Adapters.
My Inspiron laptop is not able to boot. I am getting the message:
"No Boot Device Found. Press any key to reboot the machine_"
I took the laptop to a local service center and they said that I need a new motherboard. They said they swapped the hard drive with a working one and got the same error message. By that their diagnosis is that the motherboard is damaged.
I just bought a Dell Inspiron 1564 laptop and cannot find any drivers from the webcam. It shows up in the Device Manager as "Integrated Webcam" but it doesn't work.
I got an Inspiron 1520 used at a great price for a family member, but it needs a little minor work, so I'm taking care of that before passing it on.
While I'm doing that (mainly a palmrest/trackpad replacement, and I'm upgrading its wireless, maybe even the CPU for grins),
I'm wondering something.
This model does not have the built-in webcam. Is it possible to upgrade it by finding a bezel/webcam/mic assembly on Ebay, and just hooking it up, or are there other parts that I'd need
I realize that my webcam has tinted purple. i tried to look for any button to change the tint or maybe white balance, but there was none. it wasn't like this at the beginning.
my laptop was running extremely slow, so I decided I wanted to wipe it. Where my OS disc and other discs were, so I tried using one from an alienware laptop. It worked for a temporary fix but said it would expire in 30 days. I called Dell and ordered a new OS disc and the other discs that come with my laptop.
I got my laptop up and running again, but before I wiped it I had dell webcam central and now I don't! I'm not sure how to open my webcam and take pictures
Originally it's comes with vista, but I format it and installed win 7, after 8 months suddenlly I surprised that the webcam are stopped working, I tried to install from dell support but useless, what shall I do?
It can be work if i reinstall win vista again and by usb flash memory install all the drivers, it will work or not?
Is this problem because of some windows 7 updates? because they are not genuine copies?
my windows vista and windows seven are trial version for 30 days ...
I have Inspiron 15R 5520 running windows 7 my webcam works fine with skype and msn but i cant access it to take photos and videos who i can do this do i need a special software or my laptop can do it just fine ....
