I started to have a little issue with my LCD..Sometimes when I touch it on the top of the screen( where is webcam) or when I change the angle of the screen, the screen change to this error (greeen color is "error color"):
this is my first time posting, and i have a question.
i've heard that later on there will be different color lids for the sxps 13 and 16.
i understand that this is both a studio and an xps, so it makes me wonder if i can have cool designs on the top. i don't know how thats gonna fly with the leather, because black is the only color that i can think of that would go with it.
so heres my question: do you think that dell will release custom, or at least different colors for the sxps? possibly midnight blue, the RED one, white, brown, green. anything. and if you do, when do you think they will release the new options?
Regatta blue? (My Favorite) Regal Red? I know a few people on here have blue but i was just wondering how widespread the color choices are among NBR members?
I need to know if I can change the color an Inspiron 6400 (gray to black), using the plastic pieces of a vostro 1000 (black). I think they are the same.
If is possible, i need to know if I just need these parts: - Dell Vostro 1000 Palmrest and Touchpad DX354 (BLACK) - Dell Vostro 1000 15.4" LCD Front Bezel Trim PM606 (BLACK) - Dell Vostro 1000 15.4" LCD Back Cover KT786 (BLACK) - Dell Vostro 1000 Power Button Hinge Cover HX873 (BLACK)
So far, the leather-trimmed Studio XPS notebook only comes in black. But that could change very soon.
Dell's designers are considering a red (or according to them, "Bordeaux") plastic/leather lid combo, pictured here. It is not, however, part of the (Product) Red line.
What color is your DELL Studio 15/17? What other colors, if any, did you also consider? What color, pattern or trim options would you like to see offered on the Studio notebooks?
I got my Dell SXPS16 (1080p WLED screen) the other day and well I like it but there is something that I do not like, the screens color is WAY off. I have tried messing with the ATI catalyst thing and the control panel color adjustment thing and neither seems to fully fix the problem. I have checked other screens and my old M1530 for accuracy and the SXPS is off.
To give you and example of how the color is messed up the various links on notbookreview have a purple tint and are not the usual blue. The folders (a la my documents, sub folders etc), are quite green and faded as oppose to the normal tan color.
I reduced the gama in control panel but which makes the "purple link" appear a little bit more blue but the folders are still green.
How to switch off the splendid color option I do not like it. I have XPS15 laptop, tried to do it via windows mobile center but it doesn't work. It does not show the option for that.
I know this is a rather odd question but i'm really weird when it comes to colors and what looks better. I can't decide what fits better on the sony vaio FW between the titanium gray or black.
*Black makes the outside layer of the laptop blend as the top and bottom are black(inside would be silver with black keys).
*Titanium gray has pretty much all that you can see(exluding the bottom of course and keyboards) titanium silverish giving it that blend.
I DON'T KNOW SO VOTE FOR ME.
This is serious, i can't make a purchase on the new sony vaio until i figure out the color T_T
I'm about to buy a Vaio Z CTO from sony style and wondering which color you guys think is best. My initial thoughts were to go with the silver since the black keys seemed to stand out really nicely. Also, my last gen Z was Prem.Carbon Fiber Black, so Silver would be a nice change..
So I've been following the RGBLED calibration thread and don't think i've found my answer through all the ICC profiles and whatnot.
I've had a Studio XPS 1640 which i exchanged for a 1645. The 1640's screen was showing up as way too saturated with blue causing everything to have very cool overtones. I had that screen replaced only to see the same issue.
Upon receiving my new 1645 I've noticed the same thing. The screen (although slightly to a lesser extent) is still pushing way to cool a picture. None of the ICC profiles have helped other than to push too much green as a result of the change.
My question is should I consider this to be an issue and request a replacement screen. Is there anyone out there who doesn't have an over saturation of the RGB colors in their display? I've seen people complain about too much reds and some with too much green. Also the display going to 1 of the 3 colors entirely. (I have not experience this)
I'm comparing this to my Dell Dimension 2200 Monitor which although is not RGB LED i would assume color accuracy would be near to (although more vibrant) as my samsung 245BW LCD.
Things I've tried. (all of the ICC Profiles provided in the display thread, Windows 7 Color calibration and finally ATI's Color control system in the CCC.
I had my LED(Toshiba) and motherboard (nvidia 8400) replaced on my xpsm1330. Now, when I watch videos if I'm not sitting directly in front of the screen the picture looks washed out.
If I move to the left of the right I can't make out the image. The replacement screen is a toshiba also.....
The new colors Regal Red and Regatta Blue are now available at Dell's website for the Latitude E4300. E6400 and E6500. The E4200 does not show the option as of yet, but that will surely be remedied soon. They seem to come with a hefty increase in price however...
I looked it up on the manual of the 1520 and 1720, they both indicate 262K color or 18bit color vs 16.7mill or 24bit on the older line. I need someone to check their panel when they get this. You cannot check it form any Microsoft OS, you will most likely need Powerstrip to get the panel info.
I received my M6400 with 1920 x 1200 RGB LED Display, I just noticed that at the Left Bottom corner there is an Orange type color shadow, just on top of the Start buttom in the taskbar, is this normal ? do I have to ask Dell for a replacement ?, do I need to do any color adjustment configuration ?
I've got an XPS M1210 with NVidia GeForce 7400 and since last week all the pictures or videos appear blurry with artifacts, … somehow like watercolor paints or with burn efect pictures.
Other observation: on the Windows locking blue screen (see below picture), instead the clear light blue on upper left corner, I can see something like a sun with round circles around effect .....
Some suggested using spyder3 Some said it was a result of the ccfl Some said that the ATI card didn't have that issue
So after updating all the nvidia drivers and bios I still had the grainy...and blotchy picture. It wasn't as bad on animated movies but regular films still had the blotchiness.
The replacement 6400 had 4 gigs of ram . XP 32 bit. The ccfl screen. We've contacted Dell about this issue, but the tech I talked to said that unless there was a "technical" issue he couldn't help and for me to call customer care if I didn't like it.
I realize a lot of you use the 6400 and I didn't know whether to send this back or if there was an answer/solution to the off color (yellow/green).
*UPDATE* The design is on the inside aswell. See pictures below.
I just wanted to give everybody a headsup that may be thinking about purchasing a Dell laptop and choosing the black chainlink color.
A little backstory:
I'm starting college at the end of the month, and was looking at getting a laptop for my classes. I really liked the Studio 15, read quite a bit of reviews and finally built it all online and got it ordered.
What I DIDN'T know was that the color option, Black Chainlink, was actually a design .....
i just find that at "display properties" there is no color profiles..
Usually when we installs a screen, the icm or icc profiles comes with the driver.
My laptop has an Samsung 15.4 screen ... LTN154X3-L01
Is there any way to get an "color profile" for it?
i will say that "color profile" is useful for 2D graphics, screens - scanners - digital cameras - software " Photoshop", uses this profiles as an way to preserve and display correctly the color tones on your screen.
someone would have developed an ICC color profile for the AW model that uses the X-Brite Technology Screen. I have the cheaper LCD version and not the high dollar RGB Professional model screen.
I am looking very seriously at the FW and have a question about the FW. I was looking at the color choices and one choice was Titanium Gray. Looking at the site the Gray portion almost looks black. My question, is it Black?
I've been looking at the HP dv5t, and I've noticed that the keyboard primaily comes in that shiny silver color... I don't like it beacuse you get to see finger prints everywhere.is there any way/option for HP to make the keyboard black or not as reflective?
