Dell Studio 1555 :: Won't Start - Beeps 2 Times When Trying To Start

My Dell Studio 1555 won't start anymore. When I want to turn it on, I get a beeping signal (2 beeps) and nothing happens. I tried all possible troubleshooting tips from the dell website (disconnecting all power and hold power button, reconnect to power, checked battery with the button on the battery, all fine, can't get into bios because computer doesn't start at all) but nothing works. Recently I also checked if the motherboard is connected properly and there is no issue either.
I also purchased a new dell adapter because my old one was a little bit damaged. The adapter is like the old one, and it's originally dell and the correct one for the studio 1555 so it can't be the adapter. Laptop also doesn't start when the battery is not in and it's only connected to the power.
My dell Inspiron N5110 Beeps 5 times, stop, 5 beeps,stop then the windows open normally and every thing is fine. However i changed the coin cell battery twice and nothing change still beeps. So i updated the BIOS but unfortunately didn't work. More over i did a system restore to a windows update a week ago also still beeps at startup.
My Inspiron M5030 laptop was working perfectly fine last night. It was plugged in all night, and I had done the usual hibernate/sleep mode before going to bed. When I tried to start it up this morning, the screen remained black. It made the startup fan noise but then that stopped. Then it gave seven quite loud beeps. If I don't turn it off, it continues to give the seven beeps separated by a short break.
what's the problem with my laptop? It's dell insiron 15 m5010. when I press the start botton nothing shows and it beeps 7 times, stops 2 seconds and beeps again?
I have recently purchased Dell Studio 1558 second hand. On pressing the power button the laptop is beeping continuously for 6 times stops and starts beeping continuously again for 6 times and stops beeping...screen blank....From the dell studio 1558 manual available online I think it is a Video Card Failure. Is this a video card failure?
I'm using Dell Studio 1555. I've use it around 3 years. Last week my laptop start making up problem.
Firstly it will suddenly restart while i'm using it. Sometimes it will come up blank screen and need me to restart back.
After that during start up my dell logo will take times to pop up. And will ask me to repair my window.
I've read some post here said that it maybe because of the CMOS battery and I've already change it and dell logo is pop up a little bist faster than before.
But right now my laptop could not be start up. When I power up, the LED button at the On/off button is ok.
The fan also running. When I plug in my Iphone it will be charge but there is nothing on the screen.
I've also put on external monitor but also didn't show anything.
And also there is no sound @ beep during my start up.
My studio 1555 is not starting. When I press it, power button goes white, I can hear the HDD spinning but no beep or error appear. Screen remains black.
When I press the power button again it's turn off.
I've already tryed to take out battery and press power bottom for 30 seconds but nothing happens.
Last night, I restarted my xps and it took forever to start back up again. After the pretty vista screen, it sits there for at least 5 minutes, then the login screen pops up,
I have a problem with my Dell XPS L701X, I bought it 1 year ago. But since a few days my laptop Beep's 8 times at the start-up. when it does I ussualy just power off my laptop because of the annoying sound, and turn it back on. Once I powered it on and off for 3-4 times it doesn't beep anymore an works fine. I already searched the internet and I found that someting could be wrong with the GPU or something. And it said I had to hold down the D button at start-up so I could check if my colors where right.
When I start my laptop, I hear 8 beeps and nothing appears on screen. This keeps on happening until I keep it upside down for 2-3 minutes. Than after it startups normally and works fine. This happens everytime I start my laptop.
I have a Inspiron N5110 which beeps 8 times on start up and nothing comes up on the display, external monitor works fine. I replaced the lcd and the same thing. Is there sometining else I should be looking at??
My Dell Inspiron M5030 will not start-up when I turn on the power button the light come on, then I just get somecontinuous beeps with nothing displaying on the screen. The warranty on my Dell has expired. What are my options and what can I do to get my machine up and running.
It is beeping continuously (not 4 not 7 beeps) with intervals and by luck sometime it boots, no dell icon nothing black screen, this is my first experience with dell, before I used Hp its quite better !
I have dell inspiron 5110 core i5. from last few days its giving continuous 8 beeps repeatedly before login screen appears. then it stops beeping . but sometime it keeps beeping after proper start up in repeated sets of 8 beeps ...before start up the beep sound come from laptop speakers then stops .but if continue to beep ..then sound only come in headsets . i have no problem with my laptop LCD display and neither i am using any external display.
I just finished installing a new screen on my daughters laptop and, upon powering on, the screen stays black and i get 8 loud beeps. I have checked the connection behind the screen and it is secure. I read a few related posts and held the d button while powering on but nothing happens.
I am getting continuous beep sounds while starting of the laptop. The beep sound is continuous for a period of appx 10-15 seconds and afterwards the laptop is working normally.
My dell Inspiron 15R (5521) is no longer working. It started one day when we my wife was using the laptop and it started beeping and shut down. I thought it was the battery because when I plugged in the AC adapter the light on the end of the AC adapter plug would go out. I figured the battery was shorted. I bought a new battery and it took about 5 days to come in. After a day or so I tried using the laptop again with the original battery and it worked. When the new battery came in I swapped them out and after 3-4 days it failed again. Now it doesn't work at all with either battery. It will turn on but the screen is black. I tried booting it up while holding down the Fn key to go into diagnostic mode. After the fan kits on I get a sequence of beeps and tones. I've attached a video to show you the sequence. Basically it has 6 beeps than 10 beeps than 3 sets of 3 beeps followed by a tone than it does the 3 sets of 3 beeps again and again.
I have a dell inspiron n5040 . Its only 1 month old.since 2days ago everytime i try to turn it on all i get is a blank screen with audio of 7 beeps a pause then 7 more and so on. I have read a few posts about taking the battery out and pressing the power button for 30 secs and also trying with just the ac power, I don't think this works for my problem. The power and battery lights comes on and the disk holder flashes. So my problem is I TURN ON MY LAPTOP AND THE SCREEN IS BLANK,I HEAR 7 BEEPS ETC.
I've just dropped my laptop (dell inspirion n5110) while it was on (about a feet) and now it's beeping. I also noticed that the bottom left of the screen disattached, but I was able to put it back in. I understand that 8 beeps mean LCD failure. I've tried to do the test run by pressing "D" but nothing shows up, only a white screen.
I've had this laptop for 2-3 years and It had a motherboard issue within the first month of getting it, I got a new motherboard and all was dandy, but now there is apparently a system timer failure. The only thing plugged in to it is my charger and the last time I used it I didn't even have internet I just watched a few shows that I had on it and then I closed it when it was running out of power. When I hit the power button it seems like its going to start, and the buttons on it light up and then it starts to beep four times then a break then repeated four times. Nothing appears on the screen.
Now that the new Sony Z is out, I think it would meaningful to get a sense of the boot time for this system under various scenarios.
If people could post the boot times of their Z with this information:
- Whether you're calculating the boot with all the bloatware untouched (factory settings), with the $50 Sony Fresh Start (which still has a couple unnecessary programs), a Clean Install, or a Manual Uninstall of all programs.
- And the size of your SSD or HDD. If it is an SSD, it would be nice to know if you can tell us have many SSDs are in the RAID 0 configuration as that affects the speed.
I think this would be very helpful not just for direct comparison, but as another factor to consider in whether to do a clean install, which takes more tech-savvy than some may have.
My Inspiron 5421 won't start. I can hear the drive start and after a few seconds I get a 4-beep code (RAM read/write failure). The warranty expired about 6 months ago.
I was about to do a factory restore on my computer later in the day, but i was unlucky that the computer stopped working When i turn it on it continuously beeps and won`t turn on, i have picked the option to `start windows normally` and even the option that checks/diagnoses the files (to fix the problem not letting me startup) but when it says `loading files` it starts beeping again and the process stops..
I also read that it `could` be a problem with the RAM, but maybe that was for a different problem or so, but if it is a problem with the RAM, then how can i fix it?
