Oct 24, 2009i preregistered my vaio fw 41m/h that i bought in july for a free windows 7 upgrade. I then immediately received the confirmation mail saying that i was registered for the program. but so far thats the only mail i've received [ and it was a whole two months ago]. anyone received any follow up mails with more details yet?

Dell :: E Drive Not Loading Program
Jan 13, 2009I have this new program that I want to load on my E drive but its not working. When I click properties it says used space 585mb and free space 0 bytes.
Isnt it supposed to say that? lol I've never had a problem with the e drive b4 so I dont know whats wrong. Whenever I try to run the program it says access is denied.

Friday 10/9/09 We priced out our orders and made an order. Something happened with my DPA and the following series happened:
1) My order was cancelled.
2) My DPA was put on hold pending validation.
3) I spent 3 hours *that night* trying to figure out what was going on and nobody
would tell me until I finally got a hold of some one telling me that this all occurred because my initial rep put in "Avenue" instead of "Street" on my DPA setup.
The rep I'm on the phone with that finally spills those beans tells me that she can't help me recreate the order because she isn't EPP, and EPP is closed

The trial version ends in 8 days and I am looking for another software monitoring program, preferably freeware, to replace it, but I am also willing to pay reasonably for quality monitoring software.
Reviewing the posts on the Notebook Forums, HWMonitor seems to be widely recommended and used. Would you agree or do you have other recommendations for accurate temperature monitoring software? Is there any freeware that can monitor the various functions of the M1330 PC like Everest does?

Apr 2, 2013My laptop starts up okay but as soon as I open some programs it freezes up every time. I have been using it in safe mode and that seems to work better but it still occasionally freezes. I have read that I should do system restore but there are no restore points so I can't do that. I haven't downloaded any new programs in a while so I'm not sure why it's doing this all of a sudden. Jun 26, 2009I'm thinking about pre-ordering Windows 7 Home Premium to upgrade from my Vista Home Premium (32 bit) on my Studio 15. I've ran Windows Upgrade Advisor and under "Devices" it listed about six items that said "Run Windows Update after installing Windows 7 to make this device compatible" while everything else said "This device is compatible with Windows."
I had four items DigitalPersona Personal 3.1.0, Dell Support Center (Support Software), Dell Dock, and Dell Video Chat (remove only) that said "You might experience minor issues using this program while running Windows 7. For more information, go online to the manufacturer's website."
1. So can I expect the above four items not to work after the upgrade and is there any other surprises I should be aware of?
2. With the Windows 7 Upgrade is there an option to do an upgrade install in addition to a full install?
3. I've never installed Windows before or did an Windows Upgrade how difficult is this going to be, will files in "My Documents" be transferred? Will I have to reinstall all my programs?

Dec 28, 2014I want to install a program that automatically installs the drivers from the dell website. I thought that Dell Update was such program, but it doesn't work. There are drivers that need updating since I installed them on the 19.12.2014 from the dell website, but the program says "Your system is up to date", even after manual scan. What's strange is that the latest Dell Update version on the website is 1.3, but the program updates itself to 1.4.
