Is there a way to cycle through windows in the same program? for example, i have two safari windows open, and i want to change windows, is there a keyboard shortcut like alt+tab? this is one of the most annoying things in OS X that i miss from windows..

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a Dell Inspiron 15 running Windows 7. I try to turn on my computer, it goes through the Dell logo screen and then instantly reboots.  I have pushed F2, F12, F8 and Ctrl+F11 keys during the Dell logo screen, but none of these do anything; all that happens is a black screen with a blinking white cursor in the upper left corner comes up for a couple seconds and then my computer restarts.  I have the OS disc for reinstallation, but because of the computer not going past the black screen with the white blinking cursor in the upper left corner, I cannot reinstall Windows because it will not restart correctly.

I dont own a mac but and thinking about getting one and i have a few questions. first off im not a fan of OSX so i would like to use win7, so how much will it cost for me to dualboot (cost of dual boot program plus win7 plus any other software i need free or not free)? also i know you can get 5-6hours on OSX (so ive been told, correct me if im wrong) how long of a battery life would i get with win7?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI booted up my acer aspire 7520 and checked my email then left the room.When i returned the laptop was switched off so i tried to reboot it.Unfortunately it will not boot up anymore,it begins to boot but then switches off and then tries to reboot again.I can no longer access the bios as the boot cycling prevents it.I thought it may have been a hard drive problem so i replaced it with a new one but this has the same effect.The RAM cards have been removed and tried in different slots and this hasn't helped.The only way to stop the laptop from cycling through is to remove the battery.This fault occurs both when trying on battery power and on mains supply.The battery is getting charged ok.Has anyone on this forum ran into this problem before? I have searched on the net for clues on how to fix this but have ran up against a brick wall.There are lots of people who have had this problem but i haven't found a fix yet.The laptop is running Vista home premium.

It looks like lightroom and premier has closed the gap in the windows land compared to Aperture and Final Cut. And with OpenCL's focus on using the GPU to boost performance and Apple doing it's very best to off Adobe.... is there any real advantage in software in OSX anymore? Or is it all about familiarity and preference?
I was kind of considering the i5 MBP since I'm more into editing than gaming but honestly, if I can just get a beefy Win7 laptop and run software with the same features that are just as reliable I don't really see the point in spending less for more.
sometimes when opening a program I get the rainbow wheel, is this a bad thing? I hope this is normal and harmless meaning nothing.

i recently used erecovery programme to repai windows. Everything is fine now but on startup it asks me every time to choose between erecovery or windows vista. Vista is working fine now but i was just wondering how to get rid of the selection screen on startup and make it load vista as normal.

i preregistered my vaio fw 41m/h that i bought in july for a free windows 7 upgrade. A message appearing on screen tells me that InstallShield Wizard canceled because the platform isn't compatible with Intel(R) WiDi or the application is in use.

Isnt it supposed to say that? lol I've never had a problem with the e drive b4 so I dont know whats wrong. Whenever I try to run the program it says access is denied.
