When I start up my HP 1000-1433TU Notebook PC the Sound and Audio cuts out and becomes unable to play videos. How do I get the sound working and stay working as well as the videos becoming playable? so far the only option that has worked is shutting down the PC and tuning it back on, but the issues reoccurs within 10 minutes.

i have recently purchased and HP Envy 17 laptop and have been trying to backup all of my iPhone 5s photos and videos onto the laptop however every time i try to play videos either through the photos folder or the photos library app nothing works.In the photo app the app just freezes and crashes and in the photos documents folder media player just comes up not responding. This happens with the vast majority of my videos.
I have seen that other people have had the same issue and i have installed the VLC video app as suggested and still nothing works. There has been an IOS update since i started taking videos however this makes no diffeence as the handful of videos that do work are from both before and after the update so it can not be an issue with my phone and the videos i have taken in the last few days dont work... how i can fix this?
I am using a PC Pavilion G6 on Windows 8 and I am having troubles with playing sound. I use Youtube regularly to watch vidoes, and when I press play, it takes about 20 seconds for the sound to work. I thought it could possibly be Youtube, but I'm experiencing the same issue on other sites.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI use my laptop almost everyday, and it has been fine up until today. I have an HP Envy dv4. I rarely shut it down--I usually just close the lid and leave it like that until I'm ready to use it again. Today, when I opened it and logged in, I went to Youtube. However, no sound will play. I didn't have this problem the last time I used the PC, and can't figure out what's wrong. I don't have any sound with headphones plugged in, and I don't have any sound when I try to use just the PC speakers.
I've already made sure the sound is definitely on--I have muted it and unmuted it several times, raised and lowered the volume by using the f9 and f10 keys, and nothing happens. I've tried playing media that is stored on my PC, and no sound there either. I've also tried using Rosetta Stone, and it won't open because it says it can't find any sound output.
I have restarted the computer several times, scanned for viruses, and scanned for updates. Nothing has worked.
I recently noticed my Pavilion dv7 entertainment notebook won't play sound through the tv anymore. The picture is on the tv but sound is running through the laptop speakers? I never had a problem with this until now. When i open up the sound options, the ATI HDMI output says it's not connected and so it wont let me select it, but it is connected?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with my HP Probook 4530s where sound sometimes won't play. I downloaded the approriate audio driver for my computer. If I click on an application that needs administrator permissions and the User Account Control pops up, it won't play the system sound like it normally does. If I click on the speaker icon on the bottom right and adjust the volume slider it doesn't make a sound. I've also noticed that when I stream any type of video on the internet, the video won't play until the sound works again. Sometimes the video plays with no sound, then the sound catches up. I've tried many different browsers but the issue keeps happeneing regarless.
When my computer ran Windows 7, the audio worked fine. Videos always played, and system sounds always executed on cue. My motherboard got replaced at the end of last year due to overheating so I don't think it's a hardware issue. The weird thing is that this issue isn't consistent. One minute the sound could be working flawlessly, but two minutes later the sound just stops working.
I could try and capture a video of the issue I'm having and post it on Youtube, but it's difficult since the issue is sporadic. If I do get a video of it, I'll be sure to post the link.

When I restart my computer, my sound works for an hour or two and then suddenly shuts off. It does this with or without headphones. It works again as soon as I restart the computer, but I'd really love not to have to restart my computer every hour just to get the sound to work.
Also- downloading Windows 8 isn't an option as a lot of my work is incompatible with windows 8.

Before, it would not play any sound, now it will play the support assistant narration, but nothing else.
For a while, it has been playing sound every now and then, now it will not at all, except for the narration.
For whatever reason, whenever I'm watching a video or something online, my audio will just cut out for no reason via HDMI. If I leave it alone for a while it comes back
Drivers are all updated, the cable itself is fine (Works perfectly for picture), and the integrated speakers work fine when sound is routed through them.

1. There is no longer an A/V control panel under "Window" or wherever it formally was, and;
2. Two-fingered scrolling on the touchpad speeds up playback without changing pitch, but as soon as I lift my fingers, 1.0x playback resumes.

I have a Pavilion 11x365, from day one when playing videos via the web I get an audible crackling, having contacted Hp support initially the Drivers were re-installed which did not work followed by a system recovery which has also failed to solve the problem, I returned the notebook for a replacement having received the replacement it also displays the same problem. using headphones or Bluetooth speaker, the crackling is not present.

Tried latest Media Smart version4.1.4328, also known as: sp50486.exe. Updating it within Media Smart takes me to Cyberlink, but does not work. This has been an ongoing issue since I bought the laptop in 10/2009. The laptop does recognize the disc is in the drive. It does play regular DVD movies.
