HP 635 OS/Software :: Does Not Show Any Options Concerning Disc
Jul 11, 2014
I have an HP 635 Notebook laptop, which seemed 2 hv crushed. Now evry time i turn it on n wait for windows 2 open, it does not open instead it asks me 2 press "esc" n this is when it brings the system diagnostics. Now have tried running all the tests including the overall test, but all it says is that hard disc 1 has a fault therefore I should insert a windows 7 operating system disc. Now have being trying but it does not show any options concerning the disc.
I was making a Windows 7 recovery disc set, usning the Lenovo Thinkvantage tools, and one of the first pop up windows that came up said "Note: DVD RAM is not supported for Disc 1 of the Product Recovery disc set". Does this meen that I cannot use a DVDs for a Recovery discs? That is all I have.
Apple care hk is very good.i just lost my whole recovery disc and i life 09 disc and also the receipt.i just call apple care.they said they will send me the whole disc free of charge.
I have a cliehnt with an HP 250 G1 Laptop. The Hard Drive has died, it is making a few repatative beeping noises then failing. The Laptop became unresponsive a few times while she was using it, similar to caching error, then bluescreened and failed to work again. Boot Message is along the lines of Insert Boot Media / Hard Drive not found. BIOS does not show an HDD at all.
The laptop was purchased on the 5th of Jan 2014 but the online warranty check states that the warranty has expired. How do I get this laptop back to HP for repair as the website seems not to offer this as an option and there is no contact telephone number or email address. The lady who owns this Laptop, Elaine is using it for an Adult Learning Course in basic computer literacy.
Here's a pic of mine, the still photo doesn't do it justice, using the Deskscapes liquid wallpaper along with a custom Envy Beats background with Objectdesktop. Water drops cause the beats logo to ripple, I think it compliments my black Envy Beats paintjob.
I am selling my 7800gtx that i have in the 9300 now and putting the ATI x300 back in. Well when i did the screen has a max resolution of 1280x800. I tried deleting the lcd and x300 then re installing both but its the same. I reformated the laptop and loaded the Dell x300 driver and still 1280x800 resolution.
why doe's my new 320gb hard drive only show as a 298gb ? i have installed it into a usb hard drive caddy done a quick format, ready to clone my laptop hard drive onto my new one.i'm just a bit baffled as to the above. 22gb seems alot to lose.
I have an Acer Aspire 5360 with a screen problem. There is a thick stripe of the screen on the right hand side that does not show the desktop. I have changed the display settings resolution, reinstalled the intel chipset driver which I updated on the intel site. Reinstalled the OS XP, reset the bios to defaults etc.
after installing winXP on this laptop I saw the card reader in my computer only once, and it disappeared. Tried different driver from the internet with no luck. It wont show up in my computer and is not working.
I bought a new Inspiron N7110 about 9 days ago and when I first got it, the dvd/cd drive worked fine and showed up in windows explorer. Starting yesterda, the drive does not show up and will not autorun. The drive does show up in device manager and no problems are listed.
I always put my laptop on standby and turn it off only when required. Today 4 hours after I left it on standby, I could wake him up from standby but could not see anything on screen which worked and all operating system sounds could be heard, hard drive worked as well. I tried powering it off and on, entering BIOS but I still could not see display. Here's a link to YouTube video that portrays what I see:
I later saw information here on how to access ePSA testing environment so I followed the steps: removed battery, plugged off power supply, pressed Power Button for 1 minute to drain power, held Fn key and powered laptop on until I heard funny sounds. This was ePSA probably but I still could not see anything on screen:
If I am not mistaken, my laptop was running on dedicated nVidia graphics card. What should I do now? Luckily I have customer on-site warranty still valid, but I am looking for a faster way to solve problem. Who knows, but it may be a mere problem of cable got lose which is in my abilities to fix.
Recently, my CD Drive failed to read CD's. So, I removed the drive and took the model number off of it and searched the internet for a new drive (since Dell does not sell them). I bought it, received it and installed. It turns on, opens up and the light is on.
Now, I want to reformat my computer but the system is not reading the drive even though it appears to be on. It does not show up in Device Manager, and when I go to the Boot Menu it tells my that it cannot read the device in the modular drive. Yes, the module drive is enabled in Bios.
Is there anything I can do to remedy this or am I forced to send my laptop back to Dell again for repairs (Because that is getting old, and if that is the case then it just going to become a brick to me).
I have a Latitude E6410 with SD card reader. I can see the card reader in device management but the sd card will not apper as a drive in Windows 7. I tried the sd card on a colleagues laptop (exactly same spec and OS installation) and it works instantly.
I've had a Inspiron 17r SE 7720 laptop for about a month now, and it's worked wonderfully. However now when I go to start it up it gets stuck at the Dell Logo screen, sometimes the bar fills up and it goes to a black screen. And the bios don´t load, only show a loading bar but never loads, i try removing the battery and turn it on only connected to the electricity did not work. always hear the sound of the fan but does not load the OS...
I am using a B590 booting from a mSATA SSD (Mushkin). I am booting in to Ubuntu 12.04. Everything worked fine for half a year. Last week booting from the SSD did not work any more. Now the mSATA SSD is not visible in my BIOS, under Windows 7 oder several Linux distros. I cannot access the mSATA SSD at all. I am especially surprised that my configuration quit working from one day to the other without any action from my side. The usual set of questions:
Is there something trivial that I do wrong? Is there a way to check the sanity of the drive and/or my notebook? Is there any way to revert to the previous extremely satisfying state? My BIOS-version is 1.18 (06/27/2013).
I have HP Pavilion g6 2320TX notebook pc and in which I had updated my operating system from win8(64bit) to win 8.1(64bit) but after upgradation of my os the bluetooth setting does not show and when I tried to run troubleshoot then it says that "The driver for Ralink_RT3290_Bluetooth_01 is not installed . Install the latest driver for the device".
I have an Aspire E5-411... I like many others am experiencing the same issue. A "sound" notification would not work for me. I went to the Windows 8.1 site and saw someone ask the very same question about his Acer a few months ago. The Rep. at the Windows site told him that that feature was locked and he would have to contact his OEM (in this case Acer) how this feature could be unlocked. Is this true? I need to be able to see a caps lock notification.
High CPU Usage despite nothing showing on Task Manager or Process Explorer.
I was asked to have a look at a relatively new Acer Aspire 6530g laptop recently that was beginning to become almost unusably slow all of a sudden. The system (which comes with 4gb of ram) literally can no longer run a couple of simple applications at the same time. Displaying typical behaviour of high CPU usage, ie taking a long time to respond, typed sentences seeming to pause and then jump to the end, video noticably jerky accompanied by a crackling through the speakers.
The system had a fresh re-installation of Vista done, which seemed to solve the problem briefly, reappearing again after a week or so, and then upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 in an attempt to solve the problem, again the symptoms appeared to stop after the upgrade (or weren't as evident) and returned yet again after only another week or so.
First thing i did was check task manager for something slowing the system. I suspected perhaps some malware or a trojan on the system.
This is where it gets weird. Nothing. If for instance theres just 1 browser window playing a flash game, it slows to a crawl. CPU shows 75-95% usage, yet nothing is seemingly using it. To go a little deeper I installed sysinternals process explorer to see a little deeper into what might be causing it. Again, nothing. Showing overall High CPU usage, but nothing appeared to be using all of the CPU..................
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 3521 and whenever im idle or i close my computer, it would not wake up but instead show me a black screen. Every single time i have to hard reset my computer.
My current problem is that when switching from the mobile power-saving GPU I lose the backlight on my screen when the high performance GPU kicks in. The HDMI output is displaying video when in High Performance, but the screen of the laptop will only show a picture with no backlight, and can only be seen by shining a light on the screen.
Just started happening the last few days, I've tried a system restore (didn't allow it), tried uninstalling all of the AMD drivers and software then reinstalling with their updated drivers, as well as the same process but with the HP drivers that came with the laptop, still the same result. Is it possible for the high performance GPU to be failing some how or is this a software issue?
Laptop show black screen when switched on but there's no problem when connected to secondary display monitor. Can still hear the startup sound though. Before this the laptop beeps when charging but stop beeping when battery is inserted.
I have a Dell Latitude D620 and lately the screen has been doing weird things. The images will show up pixelated or of a low quality. I plugged my monitor into the VGA port at the back and it shows up fine on my monitor. I just want to know if it's the video card or screen before I buy a new screen.
