HP Envy Dv7 OS/Software :: How To Bypass System Disable And Admin Password
Aug 5, 2013
When I turn the computer on a blue box comes up with "Enter administrator password or Power on Password. After three attempts a code error comes up with the following 50510665. How can I reset computer?
Error Message: "Enter Administrator Password or Power On Password"
Changes made to system that caused issue to occur: Laptop was stolen from car two weeks before Christmas, but was recovered by police and returned to me a month later. Upon retrieval of laptop, the battery was dead and the power pack/cord & mouse wasn't returned with the laptop. I had a dell power pack/cord that fit and used to turn on the computer. A black screen appeared with a blue box asking to "Enter Administrator Password or Power On Password." After 4-5 attempts to enter the password that was set for windows, the system disabled itself. I would have to remove the battery and plug in power cord to reset the computer which continues to ask to "Enter Administrator Password or Power On Password." I do not want to restore or reset the computer by losing all my personal data that was stored prior to it being stolen. Is there anyway to override this or is there a "generic password" to use as a bypass this screen to get it to operate and back to the Windows login screen?
I'm no computer genius but I'm no 'dummy' either. I tried like heck to resolve this problem but just cannot figure it out. I called Dell cust svc but they want $49 to talk to INDIA! ugh.
I need a response from someone who at least "writes" English! Bought my mom a notebook a few years ago and it was just fine until recently when my niece
tried to get on and got the Administrator's login box (blank screen underneath) - nothing before it except the Windows logo with the little boxes blinking across. No matter what we do, it won't allow a bypass ......
I just recently got around to dusting off my old work horse. But when I entered what I thought was my admin password, for the third time, I received a "System Disabled [15589]" prompt. How long does the system remain disabled and how can I reset/bypass the admin password?
I have an envy laptop m6 and when I turn it on a blue screen comes up that asks for an administrator password. I have tried it multiple times and then it says system disabled and gives the code 85508345. Is there a way to reset the password?
I just got an older HP Pavilion G6 laptop and it has a bios password. The guy that gave it to me gave a few passwords to try but none of them work. After trying a few times i get this error message "System Disable 66185300". How to bypass this error and get into the bios.
I try to get on my laptop and a black screen pops up with a blue box asking for admin password or power on password. The passwords I entered will not work. Anyway to override it?
It's really annoying that I have to sign in with my password every single time my computer wakes up and/or restarts, etc. Is there a way to bypass that initial password when I'm the only one that uses the computer? It's an Aspire V5 572P 4824, Windows 8.1 64 bit.
Well I set a power on password on my HP (I think its a Notebook...) and then the next day, I was stupid enough to not write it down, I forgot it.... I've some of my usual passwords and bypass ones for Phoenix, Compaq and AMI Bios but I dont think my BIOS is made by any of them but they are the most likely candidates? anyways... I get this code which I need to provide I know this.... how to bypass the power on pass.I dont want to remove the CMOS battery....
System Disabled code: 55519833
HP Pavilion g6- not sure the model number but I think its 2216a?

I’m testing some E4200s (with SED SSDs and regular SSDs) and have run into a possible bug with the HDD password “bypass” option in the BIOS. The “bypass” option in BIOS allows you to specify if the HDD password needs to be entered during warm boots (restarts), standby, etc. I’ve set it to “disable”, which means that the HDD password must always be entered (even for restarts). However, the E4200 does *not* prompt for the HDD password during warm boots (restarts). It correctly prompts for the HDD password during cold boots and standby/hibernate only. I’ve tried upgrading the BIOS to the latest version (A13 to A20), but that didn’t work.
At this point I think it's a bug in the BIOS. I've tried this with different e4200 laptops and different drives (regular SSDs, and self-encrypting SSDs).
I've been given an HP Pavilion G6 laptop that belonged to someone who passed away. It asks for a power-on password, and after three tries I got a System Disabled code of 79308945. Is there a way to change the power-on password? I've read several threads in these forums asking this exact question, and people have been given an individual code to get into their machines.
I've a Dell Latitude d630 Laptop and I want to change several BIOS characteristics (Boot device order, etc)
The laptop service Tag is <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> and I had the admin PSW: oqzbww34
Last year my son changed the admin BIOS pw and now I can't change this parameters (I can enter at BIOS but can't unlock setup to change boot order, etc..); the old admin pwd doesn't work now
I've opened the laptop and disconnected de CMOS battery but this didn't work
Is there a master pwd to unlock bios setup or a jumper in motherboard to reset admin pw?
I bought aDell Latitude E6410 laptop yesterday and every time it turns on it says no boot or something. So I push the enter button and it resets. Then when it shows the dell logo again I press F12 and go to the boot sequence and its set on cd drive and not the internal HDD. So I choose to redo that all over again and then press boot from internal HDD and it works no problem but its a lot to go through just to start a laptop. How can I figure out how to change the admin password so I can set the boot sequence right.
I recently bought a second-hand HP 6530b laptop. I need to get into the BIOS to activate the WIFI antennae, but I can't get into it, because it keeps asking me for a password.
I've tried removing the RTC battery and clearing the CMOS, but I still cannot get into the BIOS. Or, is there a default password that I can use?
