I accidentally uninstalled my PC audio and IDT audio drive. When I tried to reinstall the IDT audio driver, I got this message. My laptop model is HP Envy dv4-5313tx running on windows 8.
View 5 RepliesI'm using HP Pavilion dm4-2180us Entertainment PC. Recently, we bought a new home theatre for our home. When I'm trying to connect it using HDMI cable, the output of it is only the video but not the audio. So when trying to install the audio drivers I'm getting it like this "The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package. The install will be aborted".
I am using windows 8.1 in my laptop. I wish this problem will be solved.
Also, when I connect the same laptop and HDMI to TV, I'm getting both the audio and video.
When I connect another HP laptop to my home theatre system, both the audio and video are transferring.
I have a HP Envy dv7-7398ca that I recently put Windows 7 on. Everything works great except my speakers are really quiet now. I tried to download and install the IDT HD driver for Windows 7 and during installation I got a message saying my hardware was not supported.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few days before I was going to shipping my Studio 15 off. I looked in the box and low and behold I found the Dell Webcam Center disk that I originally thought that Dell had forgotten to include.
Upon installation I found that the specific version of Dell WC that came with my Studio 15 is not the same one that you find at the downloads center on support.dell.com.
I could never get the downloaded Dell WC to work, even after numerous chats with technical support. No matter how many times I contacted Dell about this, they claimed there is only one version of Dell Webcam Center. Clearly that isn't true .....
I have HP envy 15 j002er laptop. Originally I got it with Windows 8 but then I changed operation system to Windows 7 Pofessional (64-bit).I can`t install IDT high definition audio codec on it. I guess that is the reason why I don`t have and I can`t use Beats Audio interface on my laptop (only speakers are working). There are no audio drivers for Windows 7 available for download on HP website. When I`m cheking for driver updates via HP support, it proposes me only updates for Chipset, Graphics, Network, etc.And no Audio Driver..How can I solve it and install IDT high definition audio codec?

I have an envy 15t-j000 touchsmart that i purchased in late july and received in mid august with the beats audio option.
Ever since I first powered on the computer the audio would skip or fluctuate. I would notice the fluctuation when plugged into my stereo via the 3.5mm headphone jack. It would sound like the volume would lsightly fluctuate or maybe miss some of the lower end frequencies.
The more noticeable problem is the skipping. It will make a skipping noise that sounds as if the computer is bogged down with material, even when all that is being performed is playback. It sounds like frequency in the lines. This will occur at random times under various circumstances. It occurs when playing a music file as well as streaming music through spotify or pandora or playing a video on youtube. The skipping occurs in all those circumstances in both output to another source (headphones or speakers) as well as playing through the built in speakers.
Is it possible I am missing a driver? Is the sound card messed up? Is it just a problem with the computer? is there a fix that doesn't require me sending it back to hp?
I have an HP envy 6 1030-sq ultrabook, run windows 8.1 and my beats audio isn't working any more.

My problem is that when I listen to music or watch a movie, and I go to change the EQ/bass settings it is completely ineffective. It just sounds completely flat. I tried turning on/off beats audio but the sound is still the same.

I ordered this laptop from one of the retailer sites and received it today. We were very curious to check the touch screen functions. But nothing happened. The touch screen was not detected. [No pen or touch input available for this device]. There were no settings under control panel such as Tablet.
I upgraded to windows 8.1 from store on my HP Envy DV6 7206tx and now, i am have problem with drivers for video and wireless cards. Both of them are not detected... checked in the windows device manager in video drivers Intel HD 4000 is detected and dedicated Nvidia card is not detected, it say "Microsofts Basic Display Adapter" instead.I just installed RaLink's Drivers from HP site got my wireless card working yet with problems like frequent disconnects and slow speed. When are the update from HP for all drivers expected for windows 8.1 ?

I can uncheck the box, and while the sound is less full, adjusting the sliders on the equalizers within Beats Audio effects the sound. Also, the sound is very compressed no matter what. Listening to a FLAC song file with headphones on my phone without equalizers and listening to it on my laptop with headphones, the difference is obvious. Why this would happen or how to turn it off.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have HP Envy M6 1225 dx. The Ralink wifi driver provided with it served me well till a year. But now, i don't due to windows update or something else, i'm having problem with it. Sometimes, the driver works well, but most and most of the time, windows have problem with the driver. It, either mentions " driver or hardware related problem" while i troubleshoot it, or sometimes it doesn't even detect the device in device manager. I even tried reinstalling the driver by the driver which i was provided with the laptop bt the same problem still persists. I'd like to know whether the windows updates is disturbing it because once i'd found the Ralink wifi driver update on the windows update list which had created problem and i uninstalled it. Now i cant find that driver update in the windows updates list.
View 2 Replies View Related I just got a HP Envy 17-j184nr. I also bought a Samsung 850 pro 256gb ssd to go along with it. Made the recovery discs. Put in the ssd and started the recovery process. It got all the way past the part with administrator and the second drive download, then it restarted. It loaded up and went into recovery imcomplete. Tried it twice with the same result. The retry option does nothing except sit there on "Insert recovery media" even though i've inserted every disc at least twice.

I really want to start using my computer.
I have not used my webcam for a while, but recently updated Skype. When I went to use the web cam it was not detected. When I try Cyberlink Ucam it says no webcam detected. I checked the driver in Device Manager and it is ok. I used HP Recovery Manager and reinstalled the Cyberlink software but it is still undetected. Is there some keyboard switch for the camera or something simple that I am missing??

This doesn't happen all the time. I'm not sure but I think it usually happens when I use my computer for a long time (1-2 hours). It starts working again when I restart my computer but it stops working later and I have to restart my computer again.

I already tried to see it on the website under my service tag, but it just says the amount of days left on the warranty and not the actual warranty itself.
I see on the Apple site I can get this package for $169 for a single license. I can also get iwork09/ilife09 for $79 each (so $160). Why would I buy this package if I am already a MBP user with OS X 10.5? Is this only meant for those that haven't upgraded to Leopard? Shouldn't they offer some type of package for those of us who bought our MBP within the last year?

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio driver, everything says i should ave the IDT HD audio driver but it ony lets me downoad the Realtek audio driver. I tried plugging in a mirophone and setting it as the default and messing with the levels of the microphone, still not working.
