Video Drivers for this model are have not update since 2012!When I try too update from default AMD CCC(WHQL), the computer does not detect the driver and the system is very slow. For me it is very important to update the CCC though, would be to version 13.

my HP dv4 1222. It's been like this since i got it like 4-6 months ago. Whenever there's a lot of flash going on, be it a flash game or a full screen youtube,hulu video etc, the computer skips frames and gets real choppy. I know these are all flash based, and wondered if the computer is just a POS cuz the amd processor cant handle flash well. It's a Turion x2 2.1 ghz with 4gb RAM, and the radeon hd3200 graphics, so i dunno what the heck is wrong with it.

I recently purchased a HP 15-D103TX laptop, which originally ran Free DOS on it. I have successfully updated my OS to Windows 8, and have installed all the drivers from the HP website. The laptop has dedicated 2GB Nvidia Geforce 820M graphic card.
But when I checked, I found that Windows is showing the Dedicated Graphics Memory as 0MB.
As you can see in the screenshot, it shows Dedicated Graphics Memory as 0MB.
I have had my laptop for a couple of years now. It is currently the HP Envy 17t-2100 normal edition. A while back long before this issue I had to re-install windows 7 and of course while I did download all the drivers. I was still not able to download the switchable graphics driver / program. I don't know if this is related to the issue or not.
The MAIN issue I do have however, is that my laptop no longer recognizes the high performance GPU (The AMD Radeon 6850M). I have tried installing the drivers, uninstalling, and reinstalling again. But no luck.
My battery died a few months ago on my nc8430. It's not an oem batter, but was a third the price. When running on the battery power, the computer is very slow. I have to have NHC on MAX Performance to watch youtube @ low res, or even type without lag. Even with this there is lag on the system. With NHC set to Max Battery, the computer is nearly unusable. Now I've been using the computer for a while, at Max Battery, and AC power, with now problems. And if i plug in the power cable, but change nothing, the system runs at normal speed.
Can a battery cause this type of behavior? Should I return it?
My brand new Hp-pavilion p001tx laptop is 5 days only its performance is slow as compared to system confifuration. From my first use it is taking time for any task. improve my system performance.

I have both the Lenovo recovery partition on the HDD that came inside the laptop (15.56GB, PBR_DRV) and a copy of it on an external USB HDD (booted from it!). Why can't the recovery software find it?
Where is that "System Image"?
Have Split x2 Windows 8.1. Have loaded software for LG Super Multi Blade DVD player. No autoplay. Works on another computer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is the right place to post this, but I've been having some issues with my E1705 recently. I was just using it for the normal internet browsing/ iTunes playing sort of thing the other day when it up and froze on me. This would happen occasionally, like once a month or so and I generally don't think much of it. However when I rebooted my computer it froze again after about 3-5 minutes after logging onto my user. I run XP still and was able to get enough time in to do a system restore to a few weeks back, but this didn't manage to fix the problem. I can boot it up and run it in Safe Mode for hours with no problems whatsoever. I ran AVG and Windows Defender and neither of them caught anything, and I'm leaning towards it not being a virus, mainly because I hadn't ventured out onto any new or foreign websites within a couple of days of this happening - its not like I was looking at some new site, I was checking my Gmail, Facebook, stocks, etc.
I was wondering if it could possibly be drivers that are causing the problem? I'm not really technically inclined enough to know where or how to look into this. I've exhausted my limited knowledge of easy fixes. I would really rather not clear my HDD and start new, that would be a severe last case scenarior. Just wondering if any folks on here might have some suggestions for me as to diagnose or fix this.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI was initially trying to get my DVD to play blu rays. I downloaded a different player and uninstalled the HP mediasmart dvd. This didn't work so I deleted the new player and went into restore system to an earlier time and did so. After I restarted my computer it began randomly turning off and by that I mean the screen. It goes black. I click enter or left clidk the mouse (this seems to prompt it) then after 5 seconds or so the lights on the right side start blinking and the display returns. This has happened before and I forget the solution. Also, my battery died about a month ago so I removed it.

When the video buffers, the entire computer freezes, and the computer makes loud noises-like it is stuttering/chopping. It makes videos unviewable because of how often it happens. This problem happens on both Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. In addition, my internet connection is fine and I have installed all updates.

I've removed the battery, the cmos battery, the hard drive, and the cd-rom drive. Nothing will wake this thing!
The wifi light is orange, the caps lock is flashing. The mute button is not lit. NUM lock doesn't have a light.
Nothing, not even a mouse, is plugged into the laptop.
I have Latitude D630 that has been having graphics issues. I reinstalled the graphics drivers previously by booting through the CD, and that temporarily solved the issue, but not my computer refuses to display anything upon startup. I can hear windows booting up, but I get a blank screen. I've tried booting from the CD like I did last time, but it hasn't worked.
I ran the mute button + power button diagnostic and it's giving me a code I've been unable to identify.
The code is:
Num Lock + Caps Lock + Scroll Lock blink 3 times with an accompanying tone, which remains the same.
This happens three times.
Then I get a quicker and higher pitched series of fives beeps that go in tone: low-medium-high-medium-low. Accompanying this, the following light sequence occurs:
Num Lock, Num Lock + Caps Lock, Num Lock + Caps Lock + Scroll Lock, Num Lock + Caps Lock, Num Lock
This sequence also repeats itself three times. Then the entire pattern begins again.
I have a pavilion dv6 6190se and I cant find an update of display driver in HP support and when i download the update from AMD site it doesn't work. the latest update on this site is v8.882 and i doesn't support win8 and it goes back to 2011-11-18. is there any way to update it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy HP Pavilion dvr-1200 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC has a huge problem. It will not display anything other than a set pattern of rotating block colors -it goes from red to blue to green to a shadow sort of grey with vertical lines, each lasting about ten seconds, than repeating over and over. You can hear the computer starting up, and you can get it to the start page by knowing when to press enter and when to scan your fingerprint; this is as far as I can get without seeing. I've had the problem for about two months; the unfortunate thing is after about a week, I decided to hook up a external monitor to it, and got a full picture, with everything but the screen display working great. Unfortunately, in excited haste, I decided it had to be a graphics driver issue, which would just mean an update or a completely new set of drivers. Great. But I accidentally deleted the drivers I had before I uploaded new ones, and the external screen I was using went blank.
