I recently bought HP Pavilion P045TX and the keyboard in this laptop is malfunctioning. Eg. When I try to type "@" from the shift key + number "2" key, it shows " " "(double inverted comma) and there are many malfunctions like this one and also some missing characters.
When I type in Microsoft Word or in Mozilla Firefox/Internet Explorer in my email program the keyboard is malfunctioning.
What happens is that when I type "A" it does what "CTRL+A" should do and selects the whole text/document. If I type "H" in Internet Explorer it opens the "History" panel to the side. I am not accidentally hitting the control button. It does this for T, F, O, I, A, K, and N .....
My mic for HP Pavilion 15-p045TX is not working .i checked for sound controls recording option it show enable as well as green lights shows as we speak.but it doesnt detect any voice. When i try online video chat for google.it gives message as your mic is muted or is hardware -muted.
I recently installed windows 7 64 bit on my new HP pavilion p045tx notebook but there are no drivers for the inbuilt broadcom wifi adapter which was working fine in windows 8.1 , so there is any way to get the drivers as it is not available on the product support page.
the wlan adapter is BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n.(according to windows 8.1 driver details)
My DV4-1465dx has a blank screen. The LED error code is blinking 4 times meaning graphic controller not functional.
Does my laptop have an Intel integrated graphic card? Can I just remove the Graphic card and the problem solved? If not, can I replace it? Which graphic card should I buy?
A few days ago I removed two keys from my keyboard (backspace and enter) because some liquid fell onto it. Fortunately I cleaned it and nothing happened until I tried to put the keys back: I really couldn't make them fit correctly. I already tried to look for tutorials for this specific model of keys (including the website laptopkey), but couldn't find any.
It looks like to me that the "backspace" might be damaged but the "enter" looks totally ok. But I'm really not sure.
I just bought an HP Pavilion tx2500z and it was working for last week, when I installed some multi language dictionary that most probably was not compatible with vista and thighs went wrong, I was using the tablet mode so did not recognize that in a day later I found out the keyboard is no responding at all, even the audio buttons and the touch pad button are not, so I tried to system restore to previous date and then to first date but to no avail so I returned the laptop to factory default but still not working, is there a button or combination that inactivates the keyboard or it is fault in hardware
Keyboard isn't working on my laptop, i have updated driver from dl link [URL] .... I have rebooted and still not working, mouse is working. I am using the on screen keyboard through ease of access centre :
Specs are -
Windows 8.1 Product name: HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC Product number: E5L22EA#ABU
All drivers are updated for human interface devices in pic attached .....
I have a HP pavilion G6 model number C0Y35EA#ABU. I had an automatic update for Windows 8 and my keyboard stopped working immediately after.I have checked device manager and it says there is no keyboard and gives a code of C24.If I go into setup before Windows the keyboard works fine so I know it's not a hardware issue.
I have an HP Pavilion dv7 -4053 and noticed this week when entering data into a works database that my right arrow and down arrow no longer respond, up and left work fine. checked drivers etc. Tab had not been responding but is now working.
i've recently just repaired the jack connector for my hp pavilion dv6000. I put it all together today and my keyboards playing up. Quite a few of the keys arent working. I've checked the connection for the keyboard and its pushed in as far as possible.
I lost my original hard drive. I Installed a new 500 GB SSHD in Pavillion DV6 1030US. I can not scroll with the original mouse pad and when I type I am experiencing jumping words and lines.
I am pretty positive that my laptop does have a backlight. However, I didn't need it at the time and I shut it off. But now I can't turn it on. I originally remembered adjusting it through the power options and that there was a little slider to adjust the brightness of either the screen or the keyboard. I could have been wrong though, since I no longer see the second slider for the keyboard brightness. I have tried everything I could find to get the light to turn on. I used the mobility center but there is no keyboard option. I have tried the fn + spaacebar, fn +f5, and my keyboard does not have a specialized key to adjust the keyboard backlight either. How to turn on the backlight?
I have a HP pavilion touchsmart sleekbook 14-b133tx laptop running windows 8 and is still in warranty because of a faulty touchscreen. A few days ago my touchpad is not working properly. when i tap the touchpad it does a richt click and when i move my finger in resizes my icons. I look at device manager at it says that the device is working properly.
The touchpad works normally after booting but stops after a few minutes along with the keyboard (i am using the touchscreen as i type this). When i go to the mouse settings there is an error "cannot connect to synaptics pointing device driver" it prompted me to uninstall so i did but the driver won't uninstall. I tried to uninstall it on device manager then rebooted my pc then reinstalled it again but the problem is still present.
Now the touchpad is not working at all and the keyboard stops a few minutes to hours after logging into windows ang fixes itself when i reboot my pc but stops working again after some time. In the device manager there is now an error in the touchpad "This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)". I already did a hard reset, the sfc/scannow, a system restore, and I already used system recovery to revert back to its factory settings but the touchpad is still not working (still error code 24) and the keyboard still stops responding after a few minutes.
where to locate the keyboard backlight setting for the Pavilion 15-p159na laptop. I want to turn the backlights on but cannot locate this setting anywhere.
My laptop is HP Pavilion dv6-3055tx and has win 7 ultimate 64bit installed. From past few days, i noticed that three keys of my keyboard are not working whenever the wifi key is ON.
These keys are: 1-Delete 2-Left Arrow 3-Right arrow
When i turn off wifi key, it works normally. I don't know what the problem really is?
I have an HP Pavilion g6-2293sa Notebook PC, which updated itself automatically last week and as a result the keybard stopped working completely.
I reset the PC to an earlier time point but this did not work. HP's support topics suggested uninstalling my keyboard river, which I did, and then downloading 'original drivers' - but this does not come up as an option on the download page. Likewise, there is no available update under the Driver - Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices link.
Ever since I upgraded to Windows 7 Pro on my HP Pavilion (dv7-1223ca) , several keys on my keyboard haven't been working properly. I've upgraded and downgraded my computer many times, and this hasn't happened before. When I press the G, H, backspace, or apostrophe keys, they won't work unless I press one of them around thirty or forty times. Once I get one of them working, they all start to work properly for about five minutes, and then it goes back to being broken.
This is a major hassle as I use my laptop for work. I've tried reinstalling the keyboard drivers, but this hasn't worked
Also, two of the keys on my keyboard (alt and delete) came off completely and won't go back on. Is there any chance HP would be able to replace these?
my G7 laptop has been getting slower and now there is a problem loading as it won't do it. I have tried pulling out the battery, rebooting and the only thing I get is the HP sign and then it shows the loading circle and then screen goes gray. The buttons on the keyboard register if you press them, but nothing shows up on the screen.
HP pavilion dv2000 key board not working . I have enabled the online key board that also not working . As my hp utility cd was damaged I have changed the OS to windows 7 ultimate still . The key board is not working .then I used a USB key board that also not working . main problem is that I could not complete my Os Installation with out entering the pc name. The original Os was Vista ....
I have an HP Pavilion g6t Select. How do I set up my notebook to run as a basic desktop, i.e. with the cover closed and an external mouse, keyboard, & monitor?
HP Pavilion dv9830us Notebook. A few years ago this laptop got jostled while configuring updates. Ultimately, had to use recovery to get it up and running and it's never been fully right since. One thing I've noticed is that I now have an additional start button stacked on top on the original. Is this because I did a recovery?
I have a problem with my notebook. When I power my device everything is fine, but after ... let's several minutes sound disappears. The strange thing is that "mute button" on my keyboard is not responding too, when I hit it theres no orange light and one the screen appears a lvl of volume ( normally it should be a crossed volume lvl). When I want to play Spotify or something like that it says that my Audio card is used by another program... The funny thing is that when I did something like "stress test" (I played Spotify when sound worked just after system start) sound was working for about 6 hours and everything was fine.
System: Windows 8 Model: Notebook HP Pavilion g6-2310sw
Also I'd like to add that every system restart fixes that problem but only for a while (several minutes).
The keyboard on my HP Pavilion g6 is locked. It was working and then my cat ran across the keyboard and must have hit a key that locked it. The mouse pad works. No cap lock or number lock on. I have already tryed:
1) going in control panel and unchecking everything in make keyboard easier to use.
I've had my MBP for about 4 month now and have been having problems with its keyboard since I bought it. First, the "Z" key sank in (I think there was a problem with the spring). I took it to the Apple Store, and they "fixed" on the spot (it's much harder to press and only registered a key press 70% of the time). The lower right corner of the "E" has noticeably sunk in, and I need to resort to pressing the upper left corner. Also, the left side of the keyboard feels "mushy", not hugely so, but definitely noticeable after typing a few sentences. Can I request that Apple just replace the entire keyboard instead of just individual keys?
