HP ProBook 4431s OS/Software :: Protect Tool Driver Not Listed For Win 8.1
Nov 22, 2014
I have recently upgraded HP Probook 4431s to Win8.1 Prof. 64-bit.
Â
I couldn't find driver for HP Protect Tool and Face Recongnition under drivers list.
Â
Where can i find them if drivers already available.
Here are the spec and drivers needed. I recently did a fresh install of Windows 7, system type :32 bit os Computer: HP 15-d009TU notebook product : F6D30PA#ACJ OS: Windows 7 Ultimate  Ethernet Controller   PCIVEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_2190103C&REV_074&18DCB73E&0&00E2    Network Controller   PCIVEN_168C&DEV_0036&SUBSYS_217F103C&REV_014&24BB8A4D&0&00E3   PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller   PCIVEN_8086&DEV_0F18&SUBSYS_2190103C&REV_0A3&11583659&0&D0   SM Bus Controller   PCIVEN_8086&DEV_0F12&SUBSYS_2190103C&REV_0A3&11583659&0&FB    WD SES Device USB Device   USBSTOROTHER&VEN_WD&PROD_SES_DEVICE&REV_1015575831314138324539373135&1 Â

does the hard-drive protect thingamajiggy work on the dv5t, i have the dv5t 1009tx, no matter how you move it the harddrive led makes no indication that it is parking the heads...as oppsoed to the t41 i had previously y with the software on those things showed the most minute-est of vibrations
and also if you could show me how you (or anyone) who has enabled the SRS audio on their IDT soundcards
and as usual......everything is latest right down to the QLB post made a few hour ago
are the DV5T's batteries Lithium ion or Nickel Metal Hydride?
HP Probook 430 g2. i have installed win8.1, but i cant find drivers for the PCI device.  Under hardware its showing as "pci slot 1 driver (pci bus 7...."
I am looking for a driver for the "Unknown device" ACPIHPQ6007 on HP Probook 430 G1 for Windows 7 64-bit. Looking for driver or URL for download ( I did look at Microsoft and update to the last version), but still get the "Unknown device".
I worked my off to get this laptop. So I want to protect it as much as I can for as long as I can. I realize that since this is aluminum, it may experience corrosive pitting if I'm not careful.
SO, what case is the best to prevent this and to keep scratches off? I dont care if it changes the look, just give me the best one!
Another question, how are u supposed to pull out the magsafe anyway? Everytime I try to take it out, it always feels like the edge is going to scratch near the ports
I am getting two error messages that read "Base system device" driver missing. Â The hardware Ids for the first is: Â PCIVEN_1180&DEV_E230&SUBSYS_1726103C&REV_01 PCIVEN_1180&DEV_E230&SUBSYS_1726103C PCIVEN_1180&DEV_E230&CC_088000 PCIVEN_1180&DEV_E230&CC_0880 Â And the other one is: Â PCIVEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_1726103C&REV_01 PCIVEN_1180&DEV_E852&SUBSYS_1726103CPCIVEN_1180&DEV_E852&CC_088000PCIVEN_1180&DEV_E852&CC_0880
The Wifi on my a new ProBook won't turn on. Device Manager says that the device driver for Wifi won't load and may be missing or corrupted. It says the wireless device is an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC3160 with Bluetooth combo device. The HP driver support page doesn't have a driver for this wireless device.
Specs: ProBook G1 450Windows 7 Professional 64-bitWireless device: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC3160 with Bluetooth combo device  This is a new ProBook G1 450 which I am still doing basic setup on; I haven't even added my programs to it. I am setting up the preinstalled OS with the HP preinstalled programs. It does successfully connect to the internet via an ethernet cable, and I downloaded many Win 7 and HP updates that way. But it will not connect via a wireless network. It does not recognize that there are any Wifi signals in the area. My old Thinkpad and my tablet recognize a number of strong Wifs in the area, and connect easily to the one which I am authorized to use. The ProBook says there is no wireless in the area.
The ProBook's Wifi is apparently disabled. The wireless light is on (white), and when I click the appropriate icon, there is a message saying that Bluetooth is enabled, but Wifi is disabled. Â The light is supposed to turn on if either of Wifi or Bluetooth or both are turned on, so it is not a malfunction if it turns on when only one is enabled. But I have not tried Bluetooth yet.
Many other ProBook G1 450's apparently have a Ralink wireless device or certain other devices. Not mine. My ProBook apparently has an Intel Dual Bank Wireless-AC3160 with Bluetooth combo device. That's what Device Manager says. And this device might be excellent or perhaps even a nice improvement. However, unfortunately, Device Manager also says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)."
The HP support page for driver downloads for my ProBook does not have any driver for such an Intel wireless device. I didn't try the wireless until having installed many Win and HP updates. At the same time that I have noticed the wifi problem, I found that one HP update won't install: that was for Hotkey Support 5. Since then, I am having a little trouble with a couple of other updates. I mention this in case it is of some interest, but I don't see any connection between these updates and Wifi.

I just tried connecting my ps3 controllers to my laptop and I realized its not detecting my bluetooth adapter. I am on a probook 470 g1 with a realtek 8188 ee wifi card, is the bluetooth adapter built into it ? Â I have tried ALL drivers on the support page, realtek bluetooth driver for win 8.1 says that don't have a realtek bluetooth adapter. Â Does my probook 470G1 even have bluetooth? or is this a windows 8.1 driver issue ....
I've a ProBook 4530s core i5 radeo graphics and have installed windows 7 professional 64 bit. i now want to install the graphics driver (radeon) but am failing, the laptop if i try to install will not boot or it shows a blu screen of death. the bios version is F.40. how to i get around this problem...
I just bought ProBook 4540s (I7-3632QM)with Product number : H5L54ES#ABV
I installed windows 7 ultimate, I installed all required drivers, in between the wireless network was working and I could navigate the internet but after I installed all required drivers and Device manager seemed fine my Wireless network dose not work and says :
Connected to unidentified Network No internet Access, and cant see my wireless network
I tried the network button (Wifi/Bluetooth) changing the mode from white light to yellow light and both modes still not working....
I am using a notebook (proBook 4530s), with Windows 7, 64-bit, and in the device manager I get a yellow exclamation mark in Network controller even after downloading and installing the respective driver Atheros / Realtek Wireless LAN Driver(s). The driver packacge extracts itself and there is no confirmation of finishing the setup.

i went onto the chat to request myself a copy of the 64 bit edition of windows vista home premium since i just want to have it in my collection. I upgraded to vista ultimate 64 bit but having home prem wouldnt be bad.
Now according to this thread: New 64 bit Vista option for 1330--have to have driver support!
The option for 64 bit is on the website. So if my system originally came with 32 bit and they now have 64 bit listed, wouldn't i be eligible for support on the 64 bit version of home premium?
I mean if they are offering it, then whats the difference if it came first installed or not?
i just recently bought an acer 8930g laptop, when i log into msn the synaptic tool crashes causing the scroll on the touchpad to stop functioning, however i have uninstalled the touchpad diver and got another from manufacturs website and installed it, it still doesnt seem to solve the issue, i have done a system restore, that didnt help either.
i think its msn that causes it to crash but not 100% sure tho as i have tried to test to see what causes it to crash, i did this by loggin into msn out of 10 times about 7 of the time it crashed, so am pretty sure its msn, maybe i might be wrong and please correct if i am.
below i will paste the error that i get, i got this by going on the event viewer.
on the general tab:
Faulting application SynTPEnh.exe, version 10.2.4.1, time stamp 0x47f6c0c1, faulting module SynTPEnh.exe, version 10.2.4.1, time stamp 0x47f6c0c1, exception code 0xc0000409, fault offset 0x0002988c, process id 0x17bc, application start time 0x01ca1060bf9b1946.
There is only 1 device on my laptop and it is the Mata DVD-RAM drive but under device manager it shows that and OTSPIXK YR4DUBOHI SCSI CDROM DEVICE, and when i open my computer it shows DVD RAM and BD ROM
As I've previously posted, my M1730 developed a problem with it's pair of 8800M GTXs back in September. After weeks and weeks of no service call happening, Dell finally agreed to refund me the full price of the laptop. When the money was received, I turned around and handed it right back for a M17x that I received a good quote for. When I ordered in earlier this month, I was told that there was a delay on a component and the estimated delivery date given was the 13th of January. Since I'd had no gaming laptop since September, I didn't really mind. I was checked the Order Status tool every day, but there was no change in the EDD.
On Friday December 11th I receive an email from Dell/UPS stating that they planned to deliver my laptop on Friday December 18th between 09:00 and 18:00. I checked the Order Status tool and it showed my laptop status as changed to 'Shipped.' Excellent! The email contained a UPS tracking code which was recognised on their website. The status was 'Billing Information Received' which means that they know there's a package to go somewhere, but they don't have it yet. Or so I've since been told.
Can you guess where this is heading? Friday 18th comes and goes and I've not received a laptop. I stayed in all day, most hermit-like, so there's no way they missed me. No card. Finally called UPS and they say that they haven't received the laptop yet.
So I checked the Dell Order Status page again and it definitely states that it shipped on the 11th. So where did it go? I don't mind waiting. I do mind waiting indoors for something that's not coming. Dell have also changed their 'Contact Customer Care' policy and there are no longer any phone numbers listed for them. It's now email only with a 24 hour response time.
This notebook has been out for a while, and I’m sure the stuff I want to do now have already been done. So…I’m hoping for some good answers, so I can pursue the things I want to do with my old trusty. Considering I don’t have any other CPU right now, please leave out the pin mod option at this time. I’m trying to work with what I have right now,
First I would like to “Overclock” the CPU (Pentium M 740), so let me know when, what, where and which programs you’ve used to overclock this particular model. Will do the overclocking first, to see if I want to shell out something on a Pentium M 770
Now that the most important part of what I want to do is out of the way; would an x1800 work in my notebook?
i hv just bought a new laptop of HP. it has everythng but i need to monitor the wireless signal strength cause we have placed so many aps but the ssid is same..so for connecting to a perticuler ap i will be needing a tool which can show me the % of wireless signal strength and the ssid..
