i have a ideapad z570 running win 7. i want to use win 8 now, i want to erase the data from hidded partition, i want to edit the data in hidden partition such that, if One key is used later, it installs win 8. dont suggest visiting to lenovo service center.

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Lenovo z570 will not boot from CD. I have the system recovery CDs and another bootable CD that work in another Lenovo so I know the discs are fine. The boot order is set properly (CD first) and even hitting F12 on the boot up and selecting the CD drive again doesn't work. The drive does work - I can burn and play CDs. I uninstalled the drive and reinstalled and updated the BIOS to the latest. I see others with this problem have been advised to change UEFI or Secure Boot setting but these options are not available in my BIOS.

I recently bought an IdeaPad Z570 and re-installed Windows 7 completely. I installed all the necessary drivers and software available on the Z570 drivers download page, including the Lenovo Energy Management Software.
The following software were not installed as I do not have any use for them:
Intel Matrix Storage Mgmt, Bluetooth, OneKey Recovery, McAfee, SRS Premium Sound
Everything is working fine except the One Key Theatre button. When I press it, nothing happens. I did some research and found out that the key should be enabled by the Energy Management Software, but it is not the case.
There were also some posts regarding a stand-alone One Key Theatre driver, but I cannot find any such thing on the Z570 drivers download page. Just to confirm, I do not have any "unknown device" in the device manager and the version of the Energy Management Software I installed is the 6.0.1.6 from 2011-03-29.
My Ideapad Z570 has been doing this for some time - the screen is black, lights are on, and won't wake up. I inevitably end up turning it off, so I lose my work.
I've delayed the sleep mode to reduce the number of instances...
I own a lenovo ideapad Z570, and want to upgrade to a larger HDD(from 600GB to 1TB). The only thing bothering me is the "OneKey Recovery".

Some forum posts suggest that updating the BIOS might be necessary, but the only BIOS update I can find is for Windows XP, and I am running Windows 7.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI re-installed my Z570 after Two years. I got "No supported Intel wireless network adaptor found" My Z570 is 1024AYU type, WiFi Link 1000 BGN, Win7 Ultimate 64bit.
All Lenovo drivers were loaded according Lenovo driver matrix (Including PM).
Radio switch is on. Bios wireless is enabled, service WLAN AutoConfig is running in Auto mode.
Fn+F5 shows only Bluetooth, WiFi line is missing.
Under Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN driver (Device Manager) there is Yellow exclamation mark that stats "This device cannot be started"....
I bought an Ideapad Z570 a while ago and everything ran as it should. But the last couple of months (probably the last 5 months) my laptop has been running extremely hot. When I say hot, I mean it often reaches temperatures of 95 degrees, sometimes exceeding that to 98 degrees. What could possibly be the cause of this?
I've cleaned out the processor heatsink and applied brand new thermal paste to the processor and heatsink, yet it still runs extremely hot. I've also cleaned out the blower fan and ports to ensure no dust is stuck in there.
I am doing intensive work in Visual Studio, but the project I'm working on is not really that big. I've been working on another project (which is desktop and not web-based) and my computer *seems* to be ok, but still reaching 85 degrees easily on a build. When plugged into the adapter my Levovo Z570 screen flickers between bright and dark when on certain webpages or doing certain tasks. I have changed the battery and this makes no difference. This doesnt happen when on battery power.
Note that the brightness is flicking between the battery brightness setting and plugged in brightness setting. So if there is a large difference between the two the flickering is very noticable and distracting. If I make the battery brightness the same as the plugged in brightness the flickering doesnt happen.

About a year ago I bought a Lenovo IdeaPad Z580 with Windows 8 preinstalled. My question is this:
I want to upgrade my hardware by replacing my current hard disk with an Solid State Disk. The problem is that in windows 8 there is not any program except the OneKey Recovery which obviously it isn't a Microsoft's official recovery application (such as the one in Windows 7). If I create a disk with OneKey then is there any way to use it to install windows 8 on the new SSD disk? How the pc is gonna recognize a backup disk created by an application which is not installed on it?
I have bought a Lenovo Z50 70 laptop with free DOS. I have sucessfully installed Windows 8.1 in it. I want to install Fedora 20 alongside with windows 8.1. But I have failed to do this after trying so many times.
I have noticed the following things in my laptop
1. In windows 8.1 recovery option on menu is displaying for UEFI firmware setting. ( I have installed windows 8.1 in legacy support mode in BIOS)
2. In BIOS setup (tapping F2 at the time of booting) no "Secure Boot Option" is displaying.

I changed the boot priority so that the DVD-Reader is on the highest place (1). Got a working Win8 DVD, also got win7 professional, but i'd rather install Windows 8.
Even though Win7 is okay too if it'll work then.
I don't know what to do other than switching around between all those options. and it doesn't work at all.
Whenever i start the laptop and choose to start with the DVD-Reader it lights up and nothing happens.
i've resized my C drive and now i want to use One Key Recovery to restore system to factory settings, does it effect data on other partition drives?

I have purchased a new hard disk and installed a fresh copy of windows 7 on it, downloaded all the drivers from the lenovo support website but I really would like to have done the one key recovery on the new copy of windows to set it back to the factory settings.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an IdeaPad V570 that experienced a total hard drive failure (be careful how hard to close the laptop in frustration) I had Best Buy try to recover data and opted not to pay for the recovery after the only crucial data did not seem to have been recovered. Best Buy told me the rest of the system seems to be intact so they could install a new Hard Drive if I wanted it back. They made me offers to completely restore the system at a price but I decided to save money thinking I should be able to restore the system myself. So they installed the hard drive and that was it.
I decided to go with Windows 8 after learning that support was beginning to wain for Windows 7. I purchased the OS from Best Buy and I am attempting to install it. So far that is not going well. The BIOS sees the CDDVDW drive and the HDD, both are listed in the BOOT menu with the right names. However the computer is not booting from the WIndows disk. I get a message ending with :
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM
At which point it take me to the Boot Menu. I can see the order I have set for Booting is:
1. ATAPI CD: TZSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633F
2. ATA HDD: WDC WD10JPVX-22JC3T0
3. PCI LAN: Realtek PXE B03 D00
It seems to me that the system is trying to boot in that order but the CDDVD drive is not responding, the HDD has nothing on it so it goes for the PCI LAN and there is nothing for it to do so it returns the error an sends me back to the Boot Menu.
I would like to restoring my PC but I cannot create restoring date earlier than 7 days.

Now, After I log in to windows 7, after 20 seconds, before it initialises all the programs on the laptop, it restarts.

So, I downloaded the drivers for the laptop and then did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional. I have been unable to find a driver that will work for the Network Controller. The drivers you can download on the Lenovo site do not work. This computer is useless to him unless we can get the wireless working.

I'm pretty sure the whole point of the SSD portion was to install the OS on it to speed performance. Any tips on how to transfer the OS onto the other side of the partition without having the original discs?

Since the upgrade i'm getting contant freezing, which could last 10seconds or 10minutes.
Any time i restart the computer it will hang, and the only way to kill is it to press on Power button.
Checked the eventviewer and i found the following warning appearing every minute:

After long research i came to conclusion that the ExpressCache is causing this.
The moment I uninstalled it, issues disappeared. System will restart without any issues, it won't freeze either.

Tried to re-install ExpressCache but the issue started to presist straight away, constant freezing and the above message in event viewer.
