My uncle bought a Aspire E1-572-6870 series notebook six months before for me from USA. After using 10 to 15 days I noticed the internal speaker is not working. But the headphone and/or microphone is working very fine. I went to a local laptop repairing shop for diagnosis. Unfortunately they were unable to find out the actual problem. They suggest me to change the speaker chip may result solve the problem. Before changing the chip I want to diagnose once more for accuracy about the problem. Any online check can be possible?

I have looked at device manager and there are no yellow exclamation marks apparent.

I have an Aspire One 6cell, and have had a terrible experience with it. Let me start by giving you what happened until now...
On January 12, I purchased an Aspire One here in Belgium. It's a model with a 6cell battery, QWERTY keyboard.
The next day when I'm charging it, the LED indicator, which was red, indicating that the system was still charging, all of a sudden, turned off. The laptop, was on on that moment was on and Windows noticed that the system went on battery power. However, I hadn't touched the cables or anything, it just stopped charging. After 15-30 minutes, it started charging again. It seemed something had to discharge or so before it went on.
I tested in another plug. Nothing. I removed the battery and tried switching it on: again nothing (which made me think it had nothing to do with the battery).
I called the shop and they said it had to return to Acer, which could take up to 4 weeks. I was a bit dissapointed by that, so I called Acer instead. They told that it was a known problem on the motherboard, they would come pickup the system and I would have it back a few days later.
So they came, about a week later, they returned it. On the warranty note, it said: no problem found, bios updated. I retested the system, after a day, it did it again. So I called Acer again. They would come again to pick up the machine.
Again, a week or so later, it returned, only to find that again, they didn't fix the problem. On top of that, the cover of the laptop was severly scratched. I called them again, they would fix it this time for sure.
Again, it came back. It worked fine for about 2 weeks... Then, the same problem came back: while charging, it stopped charging. I was completely stunned, so I went back to the store where I bought it. They would take care of it............
I have an Acer Aspire 5570z Notebook
with built in, DVD/CD Burner
Optiarc DVD RW AD-7530A ATA Device
Type: DVD/CD ROM Drives
My Cd/Dvd combo was working properly the other day, But now it doesn't read c.d's , only thing works in it now is DVD's.
The last thing i done before it went weird was burn a c.d on NTI Cd/Dvd Maker, and an error came up and said could not complete or something. When i open up my WMP to rip some songs, i notice it wasn't working. Everytime i put a c.d in, it make sounds of it spining, but not reading comes up. it says Please Enter A Disc. I tried almost everything, i cleaned the laser, i tried removing "upper and lower fliters" from the regedit thing, which wasn't there because i removed that once before when i had this problem.
typing with screen keyboard.
My keyboard is partially not working, launch manager didn't work correct b4 but now some letter keys & even shift keys r not working.
Saying that, my battery came out of laptop (lock was unlocked) when it was shut down, anything to do with that maybe?
I used to use Omega drivers on mine until I upgraded to Premium x64. I have another 5672 issue (not entirely sure if I should have made a thread of it or not though).
On removing the HDD: The USB bus for the ports on the left side of the laptop rests under the HDD. When I removed the HDD the USB cable was stuck to it and, therefore, lodged out of it's motherboard connection. I can't see or find where to slide it back in. It "looks" as if it connects to the motherboard the same way the keyboard cable does.
Now my left side USB ports do not work.
I have installed a V-lited version of vista onto my acer aspire one, but cant get the Lan to work or the Wlan, the Wlan doesnt even show up in the device manager and i cant find drivers for it as i dont know wat module it is.
Does anyone know which wireless card it is or were i can find drivers for the wlan?
Also i cant find a driver for the ethernet controller.
i have an acer aspire 5335 and the touch pad aint working i have not installed anything new or used a mouse or anything i have even restored back to factory settings and i cant seem to install the drivers i have downloaded them from acer offical site but they aint working. i cant even open the synapsis to even do any test or anything and i have tried the fn+f7 and that is not doing anything.

Under settings in windows 8.1 modern interface is a control slider for the screen brightness. it does not appear to do anything. I would like to be able to change screen brightness suit my needs, but I cannot make this work. What settings I need to change or maybe software I need to update? There is one Acer driver update which does not load properly and always says fail. I believe it has to do with screen settings. Could that be the problem?
Acer Aspire Switch SW5 012
I guess the first thing is, do I even have an integrated mic? My other Acer did, so I figured this one did being as it has the webcam. If it does, why is it not working? No, this is not a new laptop still under warranty. Previous owner is unreachable to ask. I have redownloaded realtek driver and still all it comes up with when I check out the devices is that the mic is uplugged? I am soooo confused. I LOVE my Acer, but am not feeling the love back at the moment.

I own laptop acer Aspire 5742 g model, snide. [edited for privacy], Serial Number.. 2 months ago I decided to reinstall my operating system win 7 ultimate 64 bit. After reinstalling and installing drivers, update drivers and BIOS update to version 1.30, everything worked ok for 5 days, then I found that I no longer can access the Acer Crystal Eye webcam in Webcam. When you start the application displays the message The camera is not available or is used by another application ...
I reinstalled windows and I took it from the beginning. The pleasant surprise was when the camera is no problem, but after 4-5 days the same problem. Chamber refuses to start. Mention that in these 4-5 days was not installed on any laptop program. Only Google Chrome browser. There is currently installed antivirus unit. Windows Update is up to date, as well as driver update software. The same version of Windows I used it before resettlement and use it on another Acer laptop and I have no problem. In Device Manager installed camera appears. I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled without success ...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a notebook Acer Aspire V5-472PG. It comes with a touchscreen.
Â
In the beginning my touchscreen was working perfecly. But then something happened - and it just stopped suddenly. I thought that this is because my Windows 8 recently updated itself. I started to search for Touchscreen drivers and I couldn't find. Also restarts didn't work and switching off and on HID device.
Â
So i decided to restore the PC to the initial condition. The touchscreen started working again!! I switched off all the updates for Windows 8.
Â
But recently for some reason it instaled some updates by itself, and after some time the touchscreen stopped working again...
Touchpad not working after windows 8.1 update on acer E1-510 ....
View 1 Replies View Related2 days ago I bought a acer notebook. The touchpad is working but not the gestures. If i go to the "mouse settings", there are no specific settings for my touchpad. Just the normal mouse settings like pointer speed. I already downloaded the 2 driver which are on the acer support site: TouchPad_Synaptics_18.1.2.1_W81x64_A and TouchPad_ELANTECH_13.6.1.1_W81x64_A. I have installed boot of them sucesfully (there was the green pick).
Â
Also for ur info there are no warning signes for unknown devices in the device manager.
How to get my Acer Aspire E15 laptop (E5-571P-55TL) touchpad working again? Â It worked when I began using it in January and now does not, and I have been checking the FAQs and spent hours also looking for and downloading user guide info which did not work (maybe I did not EXTRACT it correctly). Â The little mousepad or touchpad below the physical keyboard.Â
I use Google Chrome, not Internet Explorer, by the way, and not the Microsoft Account login stuff, which is messing me up too, as first I had to create a password to login to my laptop, then apparently it wants me to create and use another password and login email, which apparently I did once after some problems with it,and now I cannot get it to let me login OR send me a forgotten password for Microsoft Account. Â It wants to call me at a number whose last 2 digits displayed are not mine! Â
I first noticed the issue with sensitivity. The mouse was really sensitive. I then noticed that the gestures don't work either. I cannot scroll using the mouse. So I went into great depths and tried to figure out the problem (but no solution).
Â
So I performed these steps:
-Changed the pointer speed to the fastest (I didn't like the slow pointer speed). The pointer was still pretty slow.
-Decided to change the TouchPad specific drivers. I go to the ELAN tab under mouse settings. I look and see that the "Options" button is greyed out. I also noticed that it said "Standard PS/2 Mouse"I decide to find the software to change the settings and located it in C:Program FilesElantech. I open ETDAniConf.exe and decide to do a test. I uncheck the right click and left click, and some other scroll settings. No avail.
-Then I decide to uninstall and install the drivers. Did that. Nothing changed. Changing the tapping, button, scrolling options does nothing. The mouse settings still shows it as "Standard PS/2 Mouse" even though the tab says ELAN.
-I decide to take a big step and just reinstall Windows 8 altogether using Acer Recovery. Reinstalled it, still facing the same issue. Still recognized as "Standard PS/2" mouse.
-I try another way to attempt to fix the issue. I try to find the most up to date similar driver. I located on that was much newer (2013 version rather than 08.2012). Installed it, restarted computer. Still no avail. Still recognized as "Standard PS/2 Mouse".I decided to go the last route before posting the issue here. I downloaded a copy of Windows 8 Pro from Microsoft website and transferred the ISO into the bootable flash drive. I split the hard drive into a clean partition (60GB) and installed fresh Windows 8 Pro on it, without all the Acer Drivers. Of couse I was missing the network drivers so I had to go on my Desktop to download the drivers online.
- I decide to first go and download the TouchPad drivers. Downloaded them, copied on a Flash Drive, ran them on the Acer laptop. Restarted computer. Still facing the issue.Â
I got the laptop for a good discount from my work (as a bonus of working there). It was a one time discount. As you noticed, I mentioned that it was recognizing it as "Standard PS/2 Mouse". That is the huge clue that tells me that the drivers are really buggy. The issue here is that the TouchPad drivers are not recognized like it is a TouchPad, but as a Mouse. A mouse that can only do right click, left click.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy laptop is just 4 months old bt I am already having the problem in my touchpad. It is not working. I had Windows 7 on my laptop. The touchpad was working very well and smoothly but suddenly one day, it stopped working. I thought it happened because I was using Windows 7 so I installed Windows 8.1 hoping that everything would be okay but even during the Windows installation, I had to use keyboard commands. The touchpad didn't work at all. It is not working even after the Window has been completely installed. For an alternative, I am using an USB mouse. And, do not suggest me Fn + F7 because I am not that dumb to not to know that simple trick. My keypad is not working at all!
