I need to clarify some few simple things about win7 x64 and 4810TG with su9400 and HD4330.
The batterylife sucks. Up to 3 hours maximum.
Seems like the automatic graphic-switch does not work. I play CS:Source with 20fps with everything on low.
HDMI does not work.
i just updated my drives for AMD Radeon HD6630M with new beta2 catalyst but now i cant switch graphic cards. I tried to go into CCC - Method switchable graphics selected Manualy switch GPU pressed apply and nothing happend. Atleast i tried to uninstal this CCC isntal the old one and tried again. Problem remains and now im sad about this becouse my games are now useless . I can just select which GPU i want for aplications but its bad cause my fps dropped. I just realized before windows score with randomly switching cards for aplications is just 6,3 for games and 4,9 for other stuff. Before i have 6,7 for both becouse i selected the AMD GPU FOREVER.

When I put my switch 10 to sleep, and then re-open it, the keyboard is not working anymore, like it has problem recharging drivers. Same issue happens sometime when I use it in tablet mode and then reconnect the dock to it, I've a very hard time trying to make the keyboard and touchpad working again. The fact is that the usb port on the dock doesn't seem to have any problem at all, only the touchpad and the keyboad. I can't figure out if that's a software or an hardware problem.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI manage to pair my 2-in-1 pc Acer Switch 10 with an externat Bluetooth (bt) device only when the tablet is connected to my home wifi network. As soon as I disconnect from the wifi network, the pairing with the bt device is disabled. If I try to pair the bt device when wifi connection is off, the pairing succeeds just for a few seconds (1 or 2) and then it disconnects.
The support assistance of the bt device, since it actually manages to pair with the pc in such wifi wird conditions, suggested that it probably can be a problem due to the chip of the pc that probably manages both the wifi and the bt connections and is not able to manage them separately.

I can load task manager and get to the internet. tried to get to safe mode at startup with f8 but several attempts were unsuccessful. I updated my graphics driver from AMD today and same black screen appears. I also restored sytem to an earlier date using the HP utility with same results - black screen after welcome page.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm very stuck with my Y580, and I'll start by saying that I purchased the laptop about 1.5 years ago, and it came with Windows 8 installed. I didn't like Windows 8 so much, so I decided that I would get Win7. I also decided that I'd put it on an mSATA to speed things up. After doing so, I just formatted the boot partition on the older drive to use for storage. But I kept the recovery partition on there. Everything seemed to work fine until I was recently informed that I should update the BIOS. I followed all of the instructions from Lenovo in updating to the version 8.00, something like 89WW in the file name. Then recently I noticed my temps were realllly hot when gaming... and I don't play graphically demanding games. I monitored my temps and found out that my CPU (i73630QM) was running over 90°c when playing games like LoL, Dishonored, RIFT, Darksiders, and a few others, all on lower settings.
I did some googling about temps and a lot of people were saying that BIOS is often a culprit for high temps. Maybe you've already put two and two together, but it took me until this point to discover that the BIOS I had updated to is a Win8 BIOS, and I'm using Win7. I figured, this is probably a big part of my issue (and even if it's not going to solve the heat issue, I'd still like to have all my ducks in a row and have all my hardware/software/firmware compatible.
As we all very well know from the few years of tampering with these Y580s, the BIOS can't simply just be rolled back. But I figured there had to be a way. After googling around for some time, I ended up trying a few different things; editing the Config file for the earlier version of the Bios (which just resulted in another error and locked up the keyboard and mouse), I tried booting the BIOS image from a USB, but to no avail (I tried both booting from USB and also a force BIOS update, using the fn+B method, which I realize I may be doing incorrectly, as I am not entirely sure what I should name the ROM file... I can't boot windows to use ANDYSTOOL, so I named a bunch of different ROM files with different names that have worked for other people) ... so on and so forth...
The last thing I've tried was Restoring the BIOS to factory settings (within the BIOS) and now the computer will not boot windows. The Lenovo screen Posts, and Windows starts to load, freezes a moment, Blue Screens for a second, then reboots, saying that there is an issue with either Hardware or software, and gives me he option to either boot windows normally (which just results in the same thing again) or to run an automatic repair. I tried the automatic repair and it just sits on the "Preparing Automatic Repair" screen, and will do so for hours with no progress.
I got automatic Windows up date last night. After the updates, I can't do anything except turn on the computer, see the HP page, the green log in with password page, then all goes dark blue and freezes. It will not even rcognize the keyboard to back out. It is an HP Envy 20 all in one desktop. I have removed the back, all looks good, everything is secured and in place.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have Acer aspire 2930z with Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit) installed, the problem I face is sometimes, when I play games on it (the Need for speed undercover). The laptop gets very hot and automatically goes power off, I have to unplug the AC adaptor wire, replug and then only I can switch on the pc or else if I try to switch on without un plugging, nothing happens.
This is a problem for what I am really worried, well sir, I use my laptop with my battery but it is connected to electricity all the time as we have some electric break down problem(s) here, so do you think the pc gets heated because of battery plugged?
Infact before when I got this laptop new, I used to play for 3-4 hours the game and nothing used to happen.

I have 4 GB or ram, 320 GB hard and 2.17 dual core processor.
When the time has elapsed for my sleep settings, only the display goes to sleep. The computer and the keyboard lights stay on. Computer will go to sleep when I hit FN/F4, but because the automatic sleep settings don't work, my computer often stays on for long periods of time and can get very warm.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 5738z and upgraded to windows 7. I had to do a clean install as I upgraded to x64 Win7 from x86 vista to use the 4gb of RAM the machine has. The upgrade went fine, no problems. All drivers installed fine and the machine runs great. My problem is that the ePower button will not work no matter what I try (it's the P button on other models) and it wont light up green. I've used the Acer upgrade disk, which installed the launch manager software, but the button still wont work.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an acer aspire 5630 laptop which I bought in October. Now I had to repartition and reinstall windows vista for some unavoidable circumstances. But I have lost all the softwares like NTI CD/DVD maker and drivers like modem. I do not know what the problem is but my dial up modem does not work. It shows something else in the modem list (Contexant) that is different from what was there originally ("HD audio"). Whether the telephone line is plugged or unplugged it shows the same error message. I mean the error message like no dial tone is shown while no telephone line plugged. Besides it does not produce the speaker sound even after enabling so which it used to do before.
Moreover, now as I have lost the softwares like NTI CD/DVD maker, how can I reclaim them as my warranty has not yet expired. (the driver is not in their website)
I use V3-371-59M8 which model is for windows8 OS only but I use it w/ windows7 OS and it works well but bluetooth doesn't work at all.I got and installed BT drivers(Atheros or intel or Broadcom) for widnows7 but couldn't find any BT devices.
What is the BT adaptor brand (Atheros or intel or Broadcom??) of the model.

The graphic score from windows experience is very low (1.0). Other scores are normal.

I used the upgrade kit from Acer to do a clean install of Windows 7 to my Timeline 1410. Everything works great and I love this laptop... except that the brightness controls (Fn+Left/Right Arrow) do not work. It's locked at highest brightness.
I am at my wit's end trying to figure this out.
I have installed all the Win 7 drivers from Acer's site, particularly
- Newest bios
- Launch Manager
- Chipset drivers
- Intel graphics drivers
When I first boot it up, the brightness controls work fine during the BIOS steps. But once Windows takes over, the controls no longer function. In the Windows Mobility Center, there is no brightness control panel. [FWIW, my Dell, which does have functional brightness control, doesn't show one either.] All other Fn-combinations, like volume control, work fine.
I recently purchased a HP 15-D103TX laptop, which originally ran Free DOS on it. I have successfully updated my OS to Windows 8, and have installed all the drivers from the HP website. The laptop has dedicated 2GB Nvidia Geforce 820M graphic card.
But when I checked, I found that Windows is showing the Dedicated Graphics Memory as 0MB.
As you can see in the screenshot, it shows Dedicated Graphics Memory as 0MB.
i upgraded from Windows 7 Home premium to Windows 8 pro . Eversince, my AMD radeon HD 7400M series graphic card is not functioning. Further , bluetooth is also not functioning .

As this notebook comes with Vista Home Premium 32 bit, I had to find the drivers for 64 bit. So far so good, since the Vista 64 bit drivers work fine. (PS: It took some time to get all the drivers). Everything is working except for two things: the S1 button and the Wireless Device Switch.
I want to disable the bluetooth, because I don't use it all the time and it takes a lot of battery when enabled. I used to disable it using this little application from Sony called Wireless Device Switch.
The problem is that this application does not have the bluetooth option anymore.
-Can't Switch to AMD 7670 in Win8.1 (but can use Intel HD 4000)
-Tried the HP Drivers listed in the downloads page (even the latest beta Driver 14.6 listed in the AMD page)

It recognized the intel wireless from the beginning under hardware however even after installing all those files and rebooting I can't get it to recognize the switch is turned on for the wireless. In smartwi it says they are turned off. Is there a software way of turning them on?
