Dell XPS 1501x :: Connecting Laptop To A AOC Monitor Via HDMI
Dec 27, 2014
Specs: Dell xps l501x laptop
windows 7 home premium 64 bit
AOC monitor (no issues here)Â
Irecently bought a new AOC monitor 6 months ago and it worked flawlessly up to two weeks ago when it suddenly stopped working with this laptop. monitor still works great through HDMI with my brothers mac and with a seperate Blu ray player also via HDMI. so its not the monitor or cable that is causing the problem.Â
the driver for the monitor is installed correctly and all the extra graphics drivers such as nvidia have been uninstalled and still the screen shows 'no signal'
I suspect the issue is with the HDMI driver which i have not been able to find a driver for (i recently reformatted my laptop and had to re-install all drivers even for USB ports and mouse ) however reformatting the laptop was done in an attempt to solve this issue.Â
I have a laptop HP Pavilion g7. Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1Intel (R) Core (TM) i5-2450M CPU @ 2.50GHzGraphics Unit 1: AMD Radeon HD 7400M Series Graphics Unit 2:Intel (R) HD Graphics 3000All the driver has been updated weekenden-
My problem is that I do not get the picture up when I connect it to my Panasonic TV, both during display settings and sound can see my TV, but there No picture, have tried all display settings that are possible?but it works without problems on 32 "and 40" TV but not at 46 smart TV and my 50 "TV
well I have a l702p 3d, I connect it to my samsung smarTV and it works wonderfuly (hdmi ofcourse), but I have a FLATRON W2243T LG monitor (it only has DVI and VGA ports) I try to connect it using hdmi-dvi adapters but the laptop does not recognize the monitor!
When I plug in an HDMI cable to my laptop the screen freezes and a black box forms around the screen. The only thing I can see is my desktop background image. Can't do anything, system is totally frozen. When I disconnect it everything works great again. What do I need to do? I'm using a HP ENVY DV7-7250us with WIN7 (64bit) installed ...
I have recently purchased Dell Inspiron 15R 5521N laptop with Windows 8 Pro. When I try to connect my laptop to an Acer monitor with an HDMI cable, it gives me a no signal error. But when the same laptop is connected to a Philips monitor using the same cable, it works perfectly. As usual I thought that the monitor was the culprit, but when I connected another laptop to the Acer monitor using the same cable it worked without any errors. So where does the problem lie. The HDMI cable is OK, the laptop is also OK as also the Acer monitor?
My Aspire 5738 is hooked up with AOC brand 27" HDMI external monitor by HDMI cable. This monitor is without any speakers. I made this monitor PRIMARY to 15" Aspire 5738 screen.  When I play a DVD/CD using ROM drive NO SOUND comes out from built-in speakers of Aspire laptop. But picture runs on AOC monitor which is not useful. Aspire 5738 has TWO sound processors in device manager. One is Intel (Default) and other one ReaLTek, both are HD quality.
"How to configure (If Possible) any of the TWO sound processors to HDMI" OR any other practical solutions?

Possibly off topic, but it is related to a Dell Precision (workstation..)
A message that you don't want to see on your main file server..."TERMINAL DISK FAILURE"... Happily, I just pull the borked disk out and stick in a spare (of the wrong capacity, but hey...) whilst awaiting the arrival of a replacement...and all is well
I have a studio xps 16 with the Radeon 4670. When I connect my laptop to my 37 inch HDTV via HDMI, the image does not fill up the TV screen. Is there any way I can adjust the resolution?
Also I have downloaded a couple of 1080p movies, but again they do not fill up the TV's screen, and don't look as stunning.
I don't understand why it wouldn't fill up the TV since if you burn the movie onto a blu-ray disk or dvd, it would look stunning on the HDTV.
basically I am thinking of connecting an extra monitor (19', 20' 22' ?) to my Dell Inspiron 1300 which has Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 900... how do I go about this?
I must be missing something -- I'm trying to connect my E535's HDMI output to the HDMI input on my Panasonic Viera LCD TV. I've attached both ends of the cable to the corresponding ports and I get nothing. I select HDMI 1 or 2 on the TV, and still nothing.  I've also tried toggling the F6 display selector key, although I believe this is active only when using the VGA port, correct?  The Lenovo manual is pretty sketchy on the matter of DVI, so what I have to do in Control Panel or elsewhere to get the computer's display on the TV with HDMI?Â
how to get an external monitor working with a HP DV9700 laptop? The screen is cracked and it's totally white, so I'm unable to do anything through the BIOS, desktop, etc.
I've tried Fn-f4 and every other f button combination.
The laptop is plugged into the mains, so there should be sufficient power for an external monitor.
I've also re-booted the laptop with the monitor connected and switched on.
There is no option to switch on the laptop with the lid closed, due to the position of the on-off switch.
The laptop is not networked, so I can't access the hard drive any other way.
I try it without the battery (not sure why?), but that didn't work either.
I connected my HP 2000-2d51SV laptop to my LG tv , but I get a response that there is no signal.I tried the laptop's control panel , but i do not see the tv as extra monitor. On the TV the HDMI port can be pressed ( is not blury like the other ports with no connected cable ).I also tried the other HDMI ports of the TV..I have windows 7 installed.
Ok so the Studio 1737 premium display is the RGB LED display. Using LED's.
For example even high end HDTV's the most expensive $4,000 Samsung using LED back lighting lists a 2ms response time.
I have never seen such specs mentioned for the 1737's RGB LED display.
I know it has to be fast, because on my 22" Samsung LCD which is back lit using conventional CCFL has a 2ms response time.
and when I connect my 1737 to my 22 LCD via HDMI, I can tell that the response time, on the 1737 is faster, my guess is because of the LED's can adjust or turn on off faster than CCFL.
I just submitted an order for a new vaio z and while waiting for it I thought I'd look into getting a nice external monitor for home use. After reading through the forum, I can't find any report of a vaio z owner successfully attaching an external monitor with a resolution of more than 1920 x 1200 (due to no dvi-dl compatibility). Specifically, I was hoping to get a 30" 2560 x 1600 monitor.
Is it safe to conclude that it is impossible to connect a 2560 x 1600 external monitor to my new vaio z?
I just opened up my HP Pavilion Touchsmart 15 Sleekbook and I want to connect a 2nd monitor to stretch my desktop. I have a Dell monitor that I've been using for a year or so with a VGA connection. On my new Touchsmart there is no standard vga port. Â In what ways can I connect it?
Just today my laptop keeps acting weirdly when trying to turn it on. Â When i try to boot it up it will power on, sometimes evenmaking it as far as the windows loading before it beeps and turns itself straight off, not booting down.
then when it has done that it will start turning itself on and then off without me pressing the power button. i had to remove th  battery to stop the laptop turning itself on and getting stuck in the cycle.
I have an HP DV 6000T. I just bought a HP Elite M9510f Desktop from HP.com, and I don't have a monitor yet, so I am trying to connect my Desktop VGA to my Laptop VGA in and use my DV6000T as a monitor.
I also have a Sharp TV which I tried using as a monitor but the thing keeps flashing the Power and OPC lights and won't let me see anything.
Anyway I can make my Laptop monitor work with my desktop for the time being?
i came across the fact that you can only monitor audio if you install the sigmatel audio drivers with XP SP2 compatibility, but now that i wanted to plug my XPS via HDMI to my flatscreen, lo and behold... no HDMI audio as it used to be.
is it possible to have both scenarios or does one cancel the other?
Whenever I try playing a Movie on my Studio's Blu-Ray drive & output it to my 26" LCD TV thru the HDMI, the picture on the screen is letterboxed on all 4 sides. It shows up as not much bigger than my laptop screen in size.
I am unable to connect my XPS 1330 to a Dell 2408 monitor via HDMI. I am running Vista Business and the 1330 has the integrated Intel graphics chip. Connecting the two with a VGA connector seems to work, but not via HDMI.
Also anyone have experience with the "Display port" input on the Dell Monitor? What is that all about? is it basically HDMI without sound, or something like that? Why have that and still have the DVI inputs?
I just bought 22" LCD monitor (LG m2294A). It has HDMI in, DVI in, and VGA. I tried connecting my Vaio SR to it with an HDMI cable. Sadly, it didnt work, the monitor displayed a message saying "out of range". In the monitor's user manual I later noticed that HDMI-PC mode is "not supported".
It does however support DVI-PC mode. So my question is, has anyone tried using one of those HDMI-DVI cables to connect their SR's to a DVI monitor? I have read online that going from HDMI to DVI isn't as simple as going from DVI to HDMI. I would really hate to have to connect to the monitor via VGA since I want to get use out of my HDMI out. While I wait for my cable to get here, I would like to read about your experiences in the matter.
I have a Dell Xps 1530 with a 1920 x 1080 display. I connected it to my 40" Samsung LCD 720p using an HDMI cable, but its not as crisp as I have seen such connections be at stores. For example the text isn't crisp at all.
Also, I heard that if I connect through an HDMI cable that sound should also be transferred, but when I play something from the laptop the sound comes from the xps rather than the TV.
I am considering a 24" monitor which I need t share as a second on my 1710, as well as the primary on my gaming rig (2X8800GTX SLI).
I want to drive it @ 1920*1200. I dont want to use the VGA connector for one of the machines, when I do resolution drops to a max of around 1600*1100. So, I am looking at some of the monitors that have DVI and HDMI connectors. The thought was to connect one of the machines via HDMI with a special cable like one from bluejean cable, and use the other straight through, and choose a monitor with an easy one touch toggle between the two.
I read some horror stories that the HDMI link via a DVI-HDMI cable isn't optimal, and someitmes has its own resolution or sync limits. Does anyone know about this?
My other choice is a cheapo DVI switch, but it would be cool just to hit the input button.
I am having problems connecting an external monitor, Dell 2709W, to my Elitebook 820 G1.  I have an Intel HD 4400 graphics solution. The monitor says:  Out of range signal Cannot display this video mode change computer display input to 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz.  I use a Display Port cable for the connection.  My OS is Win 8.1 64bit  I have used the HP support assistant to update all hardware drivers...
When i turn on the laptop, display doesn't turn on even when external monitor connected via VGA/HDMI.. I hear CPU Fan sound, keyboard lights on, power light on.
I have a yoga pro 2 and I want to connect to an external monitor. I bought a mini HDMI to HDMI cable. Video is perfect but no sound. If I plug into a TV the sound comes from the TV so cable is OK. Can I change the settings on the Yoga to allow the sound to come from the computer speakers when plugged into an external monitor using mini HDMI?
I am having some troubles. Inspiron 15 N5040. The hardwire connection works, and the modem connects wirelessly to other devices, such as my Apple itouch and my roomate's laptop; but when my laptop tries to connect it says Unidentified network, no internet access. I have been editting setting and trying everything i can think of for?
