Dell :: Reformatted And Reinstalled The OS

I have reformatted and reinstalled the OS. For some reason, my laptop would not accept a clean install of xp pro. it continually gave me a bsod and would not allow me to format the drive. after spending half the night with dell, and telling them i was going to shoot my computer, he convinced me to use the mce disk that came with the laptop. i asked him if it was going to install all the crap that intially came with the computer...he said no The computer decided it liked the mce disk, and allowed me to format and install the os again. it then got to a screen that said installing programs, do not push button. i pushed. and to my surprise it did not install hardly any of the bloatware that dell was trying to give to me. i got like the first 2 and nothing else! i have now updated all drivers, reinstalled programs, and am in the process of backing up the hard drive to an exteranl with acronis. I went from 76 plus processes to around 47-49 on average.
