HP/Compaq :: V5000- Cant Get Broadcom To Start

I have a Compaq presario V5000 series with windows xp about 4 years old. It has been running fine on wireless for years until a few days ago. I was getting a code 10 but now it doesnt even appear in the device manager anymore. Also, I still get resource conflict screen at startup. If I hit F1 everything starts up as normally but no broadccom!
Heres what I did so far.
Destructive recovery
reinstalled windows
installed updated drivers for broadcom and bios.
defraged
changed wireless card

My mobo has been going bad. I've been slowly losing functionality. First, my multimedia card slots stopped working, then one usb port, then all usb ports and lastly my bluetooth module is working. I've concluded that I must have a bad mobo.
Is that the right assessment?
If it is and the mobo needs replacing which mobo do I use?
But let me be more specific, there are two types of mobos, a full-featured and a de-featured. I'm positive that i have the full-featured mobo but my problem is finding the right mobo with the right product number. I've searched online and the product numbers are all over the place. What's really confusing me is that I've found the same product numbers being used for both full-featured and de-featured mobos. So this makes it difficult to know which one to buy.

i got a new laptop Compaq Presario V5015US Notebook PC, from a guy on craigslist.
I first noticed a problem when i tried to install windows xp and it stalled during initial setup when it says "setup is starting windows"
I've tried various cd's and other operating systems such as puppy linux and ubunta. They all seem to freeze up when they try to load.
I've ran hard drive and memory tests with various bootable cd rom disks, and tried various partitions and file systems.
I've switched and tested various compatable hardware components such as hard drives, ram, and cdroms.
I've tried various HAL selections while trying to install windows.
I've gutted the machine and booted it up on a piece of cardboard with only bare minimals for hardware.
I'm not 100% sure it's a hardware problem, because I have an older hard drive with windows 98 installed on it, and it loaded up and ran windows 98 perfectly.

I have a laptop that crashed and I'm trying to take the steps to figure out what's exactly is wrong with her and how to fix her. I've talked with several computer repair people who have array of prices just to figure out what's wrong and another price to fix it plus parts and I just do not have that money. If anyone can help me out i would appreciate the help I'm trying to get it up and running before school starts.
I have a Compaq Presario V5000 (V5315WM)
Windows XP
On start up it goes to a black screen displaying NTLDR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
Pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del it goes right back to NTLDR is missing
I've also ran a Primary HDD Self-test and within a few seconds the Test Status came up Fail
I'm not sure what that means as I've read that doesn't always necessarily means the hard drive is fried
Would a recovery disk help and if so are there any free ones to download off the computer?

I have a Compaq Presario V5000 that will not power up. Fans and drives don't spin up. The odd thing is it will charge the battery when hooked up to the power supply. The orange lightning bolt is solid until it is fully charged then it blinks. I have a second power supply and I get the same result.
The laptop does nothing when I remove the battery and try to run in directly on the power supply. I have re-seated the memory, hard drive, DVD drive, WiFi, keyboard, touchpad, monitor, audio board and replaced the power button board.
I also checked the power level going all the way to the processor and all is well.

I have a HP dv6-1133ea (in my sig). It has the broadcom wireless card. It is running windows 7 64 bit.
Just recently the wireless has started acting up. It can see my home network fine but just won't connect properly saying "no network connectivity" etc. I know that the network is fine as my partner's vaio (and incidentally my old Toshiba A30 that I am using to write this post) can connect fine.
I have tried re-installing the vista 64 driver from HP's website but that makes no difference. Turning the wireless on and off or restarting also doesn't change things. I have also tried re-adding the network key but that did nothing too.
Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas what to do?
W7 has always been a tad funny with wireless...

I have a dv4z and wanted to upgrade its wifi capabilities. Right now it has a Broadcom 4321, and because of the HP whitelist, I can only change to a Intel Wifi link 5100. is the Intel 5100 better or worse than the Broadcom?

I just received the HP mini 110 with the broadcom hd crystal chip. I'm finding this purchase mostly useless as I can't easily find HD material that will run using it inside the arcsoft software. Adobe 11 I hear will sometime in 2010 but now I can't find much except some third rate movie sites.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows if there's a big difference between these 2 cards..
I'm looking to replace my current Atheros based one (Dell 1515) with a Broadcom based one (Dell 1510). Both are advertised as B/G/N cards..
Also, when replacing wireless cards the aerials need to be soldered onto the card itself, correct?

My problem is this: every hour my wireless resets on my laptop but never does on my all-in-one thus telling me it is not my modem in the other room. like in several threads mentioned installing not the DELL-WLAn drivers but the broadcom Mini-1510 (http://ftp.us.dell.com/network/R212337.EXE) reduces the latency/crackling sound problem.
This worked also on my E6500, so I'm very happy.
I also tried to change hd from IRRT to AHCI, disabling DELL WLAn 802.11a, installing Matirx driver 8.2 or 8.8 and so on.

broadcom 802.11g network adapter is not working on extensa 4620z.
i just installed win xp pro on acer extensa 4620z which came pre-installed with linpus linux.
all is well except that the broadcom wireless g adapter is not working. in device manager, it says "Windows cannot load drivers for this hardware. the driver may be corrupted or missing.(code 39).
i tried downloading the driver from acer europe site and installed again but it still has the same problem. the driver on the cd which came with the laptop and the one which i downloaded from acer site is the same.
are there any other drivers or any other program which needs to be installed for this?

When I installed Windows 8.1 (from the MSDN developer site) on My Latitude E6510 it has an unknown device called Broadcom USH. A Windows 7 driver would probably work, but I don't know what that device does, so I don't know which driver to try and install. I think it's for the BCM5880 chip. What does that do?

I am using HP Pavilion g6 2005ax laptop and I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS. I am unable to detect any bluetooth device in my laptop and my laptop's bluetooth also is not detecting in any other device (Say in my cell). When I tried install Broadcom bluetooth 4.0 driver software it showing error "No bluetooth device was detected. Please make sure that your bluetooth device is plugged in properly in order to continue installation". In device manager everything is perfect, i mean no undetected hardware.

I recently installed windows 7 64 bit on my new HP pavilion p045tx notebook but there are no drivers for the inbuilt broadcom wifi adapter which was working fine in windows 8.1 , so there is any way to get the drivers as it is not available on the product support page.
the wlan adapter is BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n.(according to windows 8.1 driver details)

I'm having problems with my hp DV 9500 laptop. It started 2 days ago, on start up my screen is completely red then the windows logo appears with black splayed around the outside edge. When i'm surfing the net some pages are appearing with red patches but apart from this my laptop is working fine. I've seen lots of posts about laptops that won't start but none with the exact same problem as me. When I press the power button it lights up and it sounds like it's going to turn on but nothing happens. There's nothing on the screen. It sounds like it used to if you closed the lid while it was on.

my NC8000 will not start. When I push the power button the laptop turns on. The fans spins but nothing comes on the screen and then it shuts off. This lasts for about 10-15 seconds. I can try to start again but it happens over and over. Is there anyway I can repair this. I have noticed it is a common failure but don't know why.

I'm having this extremely annoying problem with my HP Pavilion dv6-model1334us. Everytime I try to start up my laptop it always shows the menu screen saying Launch Start Up Repair or Start Windows Normally. I've tried to do a system restore multiple times, but the screen just stops on a blue screen. No it isn't the Blue Screen of Death, but it does attempt to start but fails and stands on the screen until it automatically or manually shuts down.
