Whenever I try to use the camera the blue light comes on as if to say that it is working but the picture is just black. When I click to take a picture regardless a box pops up that says "Unable to capture a photo. Please reconnect your camera and try again". But if the camera is integrated how can disconnect it? Have tried reinstalling drivers and even the webcam manager itself but it has not worked.

When I go to a space that is to have a photo but is blank, I can press "ctrl and enter" button and that picture and file opens up in windows media center.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt's been running fine for a long time now as in the Sig, but came home from Dinner last night and some wierd things. Tried to open Irfanview and it said it couldn't find the program.
Same with Easycleaner (a Reg etc cleaner). Also, my Software Firewall (Comodo) popped with 3 flags that basically told me it was not working and a re-installation might fix it.
So I rebooted and now everytime I come into windows (even in Safemode) if I select Start-Program Files (or Control Panel) the menu will lock up. Can still Alt-Tab-Del to see processes running, but thats it.
So I tried a restore point to last week, came to my desktop and nothing loaded. No explorer, menus, short cuts, etc at all. (can still alt-tab-del)

View 1 Replies View RelatedI burned two ISO files(Memtest86+ & latest DBAN 2.2.8 CD bootable ISO software ) onto two different blank CD-Rs on two different ocassions by using the in-built Windows burner in my system, also used Cyberlink ISO file burner/Mount as Virtual drive.
Tried booting from CD by following Step 1 to 4 given in this MS link . After that clicked Select a USB Device, then boot from Internal DVD/CD Drive, then OK. It took some time to process & after that I got this screen:
When I entered BIOS Setup clicking F10 and there on Boot Device options, I got this screen:
I'm not able to understand why I can't boot from any CD.
I was happily connecting to my home wifi yesterday evening before my HP Pavilion g7 notebook updated to windows 8.1. Now I can only connect via ethernet cable.
I phoned Microsoft Support and was told that my wifi driver was out of date and that this needs to reinstalled. I have had a look at available downloads for network drivers but I am unsure how to establish which one I need.... there are 4 options.
Under Device Manager > Network Adapters, there was only one driver which needed update according to this. The Realtek PCle FE Family Controller. When I checked for updates here is said that it had updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.

Then because I wanted to use windows 8 feature, I downgraded to windows 8 pro through dream spark. After that, I realized that I cannot connect into internet and saw the computer manager, there are no network drivers in my laptop!

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I bought my DV6-1264CA last summer, I got the "Artist edition" laptop with BUNDLED software in Windows Vista 64. It came installed on the laptop, no disks. It's nice, it's COREL PAINTSHOP PHOTO X2 (about $89 retail value)
When I got the laptop, I created recovery disks (3DVDs). A few months after, I received the Arvato HP WIN7 upgrade and installed it. I couldn't recover the Paintshop pro.
Now I installed a CLEAN copy of Win7 Home Premium 64 bits ( to avoid the darn created recovery partition PITA) and used the "upgrade" win7 activation key and it works...I browsed the old recovery disks to try to retrieve PAINTSHOP photo X2 to no avail...
The software is interesting and a good value.
Does anyone here know if Dell has some kind of outlet store in Austin (their headquarters are in Austin)?

Out of the blue today, I received a package from Dell with the accessory kit for my M1530.
I guess I had finally complained enough about not getting it, even though people that ordered it about the same time I did, got theirs.
My only question, is where on the unit can I store the remote. I previously had an HP system where it had an expansion slot on the side that fit the remote perfectly, but I can't remove the little panel on the side of the M1530. Is that where it is supposed to go? Is there a button to push to get that little placeholder out?
My XP finally gave up and so have a brand new Acer Aspire E5 with 8.1 which is a beautiful machine and love lots of the features but if I can't figure out how to open a downloaded embroidery design with the Bernina Artlink 7 software (download free from Bernina) I have no use for it at all. This should be a very simple task and has turned into a nightmare of support calls with no one understanding that all I need is to be able to tell the computer what program I want to use for opening the embroidery design.
