HP Pavilion Dv6t 6c00 Display :: Not Able To Use The Integrated Webcam
Dec 10, 2014
I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00. I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate before which I had windows 7 home premium on which I could use the webcam but now it shows an error when I open cyberlink youcam "Warning, No webcam detected. Try plugging in a webcam into your computer now. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that it is turned on". I've watched and tried all the steps except for the last step as the cyberlink youcam software doesn't allow me to click the configure settings. What should I do to turn on my webcam?
I just received a dual band Time Warner Cable router that I want to wirelessly connect with my HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC that I had for 2 and a half years now. The laptop has no trouble seeing and connecting to the 2.4 Ghz band, but does not even see 5Ghz. I tried playing around with the router settings, but had no luck this far. I believe that it should be able to see it, but I'm not 100% sure. Whether I need to update my drivers or anything for it to be able to connect to 5G? Or perhaps purchase a new network card or adapter? Or am I out of luck connecting it to 5G?
I have reinstalled my original Vista Home Premium 32bit using the recovery partition. All is well, except I can't make the webcam recognizable to the system. Therefore, I can't use my Skype video call function. When I had the factory installed OS, Skype video call worked perfectly.  I have been all over the Internet trying to find software - YouCam, Quickplay, SP37849, SP46565, SP38361 and SP 45866 - all to no avail. None of the software would install, except Quickplay (SP38361).  In the Device Manager, under Imaging Devices, there is no webcam driver listed, only my HP 6700 All-in-One printer/scanner. Is there a possibility that only one imaging device can be installed at one time?
The USB3 were working, but I had to do a WIN7 restore (full format of the HD).  The USB3 ports are not working now, they will light up a external HD, but the HD never shows up on My Computer.  I've downloaded and installed "Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver (SP55093)", but Device Manager still says there is no driver loaded. I've run Windows Update--everything is up-to-date. I've run HP Support Assistand updater--no updates available.  I've uninstalled the Fresno Logic USB Root Hub, re-installed the Intel Chipset Driver, rebooted the machine and watched it search for a driver. No driver found to install. So, I run the installation program for the Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver (SP55093) and reboot. Device Manager still says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)  There is no driver selected for the device information set or element."  Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller is listed under "Other Devices", not "Universal Serial Bus Controllers."
I've had my laptop for about one and half years now, and so far the webcam has been working fine. Today though, it stopped functioning. At first I thought it was the microphone and webcam, but I tested the microphone and that's working. The only thing not working is the webcam.  I tried restarting. I tried looking up the driver and making sure it was all set. At that point, I realized I didn't even have a webcam installed (which is what my programs were telling me but I didn't believe).Â
I then searched on this forum to find a solution and another member posted that removing the bevel and sticking the little plug back in should work. I tried it and it didn't. (I'm also concerned that I did this with my computer on... Have I done any serious damage?)

I have bought a new HP Pavilion 15-p056ne Notebook PC , which is hardly 25 days old. Now I am getting an error when i try to access Webcam. Imaging devicess option is not available in device manager.
My laptop pavilion dv6t 6b00 quad edition entertainment notebook pc. tripple booted with windows 8, 7 and ubuntu. was working nicely for a year and 35 days. today when I tried to start it, a blank white screen appears. no movement. does not work even with external monitor. even the start up hp logo does not come up to take me to bios. no movement. even lights don't change when I push the wifi or sound button on the keyboard. no external media. has super important data and loss can cause big problems.
We have two HP Pavilion dv6t-3100 CTO Select Edition Entertainment notebooks purchased at the same time. The screen on one of them has been flickering, has had to do a few recoveries, and has generated at least one BSOD. Â Oddly, the problem child's Intel driver is 8.17.0010.0029, and the AMD driver is 8.741.1.1000, dated 6/22/2010. Â But the problem-free laptop has Intel driver 8.17.0010.1043, and AMD driver 8.771.1.0, dated 9/8/2010. Â Huh? The only difference between the two is the "bad" laptop has a i7-720QM ICU whereas the "good" laptop has the slightly more powerful i7-740QM. So why the different drivers?
I recently upgraded to windows 8, and my laptop worked smoothly, and then randomly after maybe a week of use my webcam is no longer recognized.
I can't find it in device manager to update the driver or pretty much anything! the microphone still works perfectly, but its as if my camera ceased to exist, as if it were not at all connected to my laptop. I tried finding the driver online, but only managed to find the driver for the xps 17z, which I thought would work, but it wouldn't install as it gave me the message, you must have Windows XP SP2 or higher installed.
Just purchased my new Pavilion dv7, and when I run the You Cam software, it tells me my HP TrueVision HD webcam is not detected. I have tried at this for several days now, at one point when I was trying to fiddle with the You Cam settings, the webcam light turned on for aprox. 2 seconds and then went dead again, since then it won't even let me into the YouCam settings. Right now I'm becoming more and more convinced that this is due to my laptop being assembled outside the US. Need a fix for this immediately.
I have a hp pavilion g6-1d 60 us notebook , formerly running windows 7 Home Premium 32/64 bit operating system. I'm now using Windows Ultimate 32 bit operating system.Â
My problem goes as following:One day I realised I cannot use my built in camera anymore. Tried reinstalling original preinstalled Cyberlink Youcam software, but as you can assume if that worked - I wouldn't be here. Then I tried troubleshooting according to HP guide. The problem is there is no category called "Imaging devices" at all.
I can place two bets on what could actually happen:
a) somehow I managed to delete basic HP webcam 101 driver.
The exact name of the device is:Â USBVID_05C8&PID_021E&MI_00
b) internal camera itself broke down (it's not unplugged cord issue - made sure myself) Â I believe I could try installing basic separate driver for the camera, the problem is I cannot find one/cannot find reliable source. Could you send me/upload it for me?
I have an XPS m1530 with the built-in webcam along the top of the screen. When running XP Pro on this laptop I can see a USB device called "Laptop Integrated Webcam" in Windows Explorer, and when I click on that device the camera instantly comes up on my screen
Originally it's comes with vista, but I format it and installed win 7, after 8 months suddenlly I surprised that the webcam are stopped working, I tried to install from dell support but useless, what shall I do?
It can be work if i reinstall win vista again and by usb flash memory install all the drivers, it will work or not?
Is this problem because of some windows 7 updates? because they are not genuine copies?
my windows vista and windows seven are trial version for 30 days ...
I have just received my new Inspiron 5748 and I cannot find any useful information on how to turn the webcam on. There is no option on the start menu for the webcam, and I've checked the device manager, and indeed, the webcam is there and working properly, according to the Properties. Ran a diagnostic in the Dell Support area, and the cam came on when the diagnostic ran, so I know it's there and working. So how do I turn the darned thing on? All I want is to turn the webcam on!
The SSD in my laptop (HP Pavilion dv7t-6c00 CTO Quad Edition) recently died, so I got a new 120GB SSD and installed a non-OEM version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (this is because my SSD apparently isn't large enough for the Recovery Disks HP sent me -- long story). The past few days I've been installing all the necessary drivers, and just about everything is working like it did weeks ago. However, there is one problem: my TouchPad can no longer be turned off by double-tapping in the top-left corner. Â I've tried three different Synaptics TouchPad drivers. The one found on HP's website (v. 15.3.11.0), the one I get when I click "update driver software" in Device Manager (v. 15.3.29.0), and the one found on Synaptics' own website (v. 17.0.19). I've checked out "TouchPad Properties" for all of them, and they've not been of any support.
For my current driver, however, when I click on "settings" under "Tapping," there's an area called "TouchPad Disable Zone Settings," that has a checkbox that says: "Double Tap to Enable or Disable TouchPad". However, the entire area is grayed out, and I can't check or uncheck the box (though, for what it's worth, it is currently checked). I candisable it manually in the "TouchPad Settings" tab of "Mouse Properties," but I'd prefer to just get the shortcut functionality back.
I already know the 320M Drivers are not yet release. Done.
But I can't find a way to install ANY driver I downloaded. None of them will install. Giving me message that there is no compatible hardware.
The only one that will install is from HP's website, but that only installs NVIDIA HD Audio. It doesn't install display drivers at all. W(T)F. Where is the display driver in that install?
I am stuck on the 1280x720 resolution and I cant go up to my native resolution at 1366x768.
I am tired of already spending countless hours downloading and searching for a driver that will work.
I have an HP ENVY dv6t-7300 laptop. I'd like to connect it to a 1920x2000 24" monitor. My laptop has a max screen resolution of 1366x768.  A couple of questions...
1). Is an HDMI cord the best way to to connect to the monitor? 2). Will the monitor stretch the 1366 pixels to fit the 1920 pixels or will the image not fill the monitor?
I have just recently purchased an HP 17-e049wm. This laptop has the AMD Radeon HD8650G integrated graphics with up to 4206MB of total memory. I understand that this graphics "card" uses the onboard memory to act as video memory. How can I increase or decrease the amount of memory allocated to the graphics? I don't seem to be able to make any changes from the BIOS. Is this something that adjusts automatically?
I have HP Envy dv7-7212nr. It has Intel HD graphics 4000 which is shown in dxdiag and a GT 650M. Â I have VGA and also HDMI cables. Â How do I set it so that GT 650M is the main one and has it shown on dxdiag? Is that setup to be done in BIOS or can I do it on the desktop?
Games I would hope to play on it would be like Modern Warfare 2.
Is the system itself a good buy with what it offers and what is the average shelf life this type of laptop can give me before I would have to look at replacing?

I can no longer use Simple Pass to log into a BOA on-line account. Â When I swipe my finger, a message indicates that simple pass is launching the address but nothing happens and the website doesn't open.Simple Pass came with my HP Pavilion DV6T-7000 CTO laptop with a 64 bit operating system. Â I currently use windows 7. Â Google Chrome is my default search engine but I also use IE on occasion. Â Previously when my Simple Pass worked, my BOA location was only opening in IE.Â
