Â Other devices do connect. If I change my router to 802.11g, but change no other settings at all, the HP doe connect. But if I flip the router back to 802.11n, the HP sees the network and correctly identifies it as an 802.11n network, but will not connect.The Router is a D-Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4ghz).

The USB3 were working, but I had to do a WIN7 restore (full format of the HD).

The USB3 ports are not working now, they will light up a external HD, but the HD never shows up on My Computer.

I've downloaded and installed "Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver (SP55093)", but Device Manager still says there is no driver loaded.Â
I've run Windows Update--everything is up-to-date.
I've run HP Support Assistand updater--no updates available.

I've uninstalled the Fresno Logic USB Root Hub, re-installed the Intel Chipset Driver, rebooted the machine and watched it search for a driver. No driver found to install. So, I run the installation program for the Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver (SP55093) and reboot. Device Manager still says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)  There is no driver selected for the device information set or element."

Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller is listed under "Other Devices", not "Universal Serial Bus Controllers."
I have an HP ENVY dv6t-7200 CTO Quad Edition Notebook. Â I recently had a complete system failure and had to reinstall the Windows 8.1 operating system. Â Naturally, I lost most of my programs (which I have reinstalled). Â However, I can't seem to get mt fingerprint scanner to work. Â I've re-installed the SimplePass software as well as the divers. Â I tried a hard reset and reinstalled the current validity sensor drive. Â I still can't seem to get the fingerprint reader to come alive.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIn Window's control panel, Biometric Devices shows me that the drivers are ok "Allow biometric devices with windows" is flagged. With Broadcom FMA I can easly enroll my fingerprints
Everything looks good but at this point there's no way to use my fingerprints to logon with Win7 pro.
In control panel / programs I can see installed: Dell Data Protection | Security Tools and Dell Data Protection | Security Tools Authentication but I can't find out any program to manage my fingerprinters.
I tried almost everything, installing/uninstalling drivers, softwares and all this didn't work. I suppose that I should find a program or something that allows me to associate the enrolled fingerprints to my account.
I even tried to use Dell My Downloads (with Internet Explorer) but I cannot because during the installation I had the message Service Tag Number not supported.
Windows logon shows me, next to my account and security card, another "account" fingerprints, I even tried to login with this but I received the message "Fingerprint not verified" (obviously because they are not associated to any account)....

Later I found out that this person didn't make the, according to the HP supportpage, necessary  preparations. HP warns that my laptop now can get problems, like a blank screen, loss of internet connectivity and disabled hardwaredevices. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a new W510 but I cannot get the fingerprint reader working for Windows logon. I have the Lenovo fingerprint software installed. It can enroll my fingerprint with ease, which also shows that the reader works. I have turned on the option "use fingerprint scan instead of password when logging into windows". When I restart Windows, I see a fingerprint logon option, but it still defaults to CTRL+ALT+DELETE. When I pick the fingerprint option and scan my fingerprint, the lght blinks twice and nothing happens. I know from my old W510 that I should be seeing a Lenovo Fingerprint icon on the logon screen, but I just cannot get that to display. What have I missed?

The virtual agent was no support - it gives me a setting that doesn't exist, tells me to reboot, tells me that the first time I log in I will need both fingerprint and password, but afterwards it only needs fingerprint.Â

A friend of mine has a HP Pavilion g6 notbook PC which is hopelessly stuck in a loop of "Press the ESC key for startup menu". None of the suggested fixes have worked and I cannot access the operating system. I want to reload Windows 7 Home Premium and should be able to do it with the information on the sticker at the back of the unit. I have the product ID and the serial number. What do I do next?

Need drivers as the Notebook crashes when upgrading to Windows 8.1...
I upgrade my system to windows 8, and erase all programs and files, incluing software, actually my computer seen working perfect but when open tool manager, show me that the coprocessor isn't working because the driver inst installed, seen code 28, the manufactured seen unknown and the ubication is bus PCI o, disposition 1, function 3. i cant upgrade the driver because i cant find int the web the name of the manufacturer.Â

I restarted the computer and my computer couldn't load my Windows 7 OS. I already tried Safe mode, I tried to the repair option. The computer tried to repair for 7 hour without any results. I already tried resetting with Windows recovery disc, didn't work..
I have a HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00. I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate before which I had windows 7 home premium on which I could use the webcam but now it shows an error when I open cyberlink youcam "Warning, No webcam detected. Try plugging in a webcam into your computer now. If you are using an integrated camera, make sure that it is turned on". I've watched and tried all the steps except for the last step as the cyberlink youcam software doesn't allow me to click the configure settings. What should I do to turn on my webcam?

I just received a dual band Time Warner Cable router that I want to wirelessly connect with my HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC that I had for 2 and a half years now. The laptop has no trouble seeing and connecting to the 2.4 Ghz band, but does not even see 5Ghz. I tried playing around with the router settings, but had no luck this far. I believe that it should be able to see it, but I'm not 100% sure. Whether I need to update my drivers or anything for it to be able to connect to 5G? Or perhaps purchase a new network card or adapter? Or am I out of luck connecting it to 5G?
