I have a Sony VGN-AR190G that needs a motherboard replacement. Replacing the motherboard is something I can do easily, but I'm having trouble finding a reasonably priced replacement board.
I have found a board for a VGN-AR170P, but I was wondering what the difference between the two would be. Is the only difference just the hardware? Or is there something on the board that would prevent me from using it in my AR190.
i noticed dell had some different atom processors. N270 and Z520, whats the differences between the N processors and the Z. they seem to have come out around the same time.
In the opinion of you Mac experts just curious if the difference in performance between the 2.53 and 2.8 cpu's? Soon have to purchase the 15.4" MacBook pro for business and was just wondering.
I recently got an XPS 1640 as a replacement for my M1530 and in the order details, it says the processor is a P9600 but when i run a dxdiag on my laptop,
it says my processor is a T9600. Are they the same thing?
I just got my new laptop and the invoice says that it's a T7600. When I look into the system properties it show a 2.33 Ghz T7600.
But when I go into my BIOS, it has an adjustment to overclock my processor. I overclocked it to 2.83 Ghz and according to my I8KFangui and my system properties it is showing it running @ 2.83 Ghz.
So does this mean that I actually have the T7600G, or does it mean that I have the T7600 an I am going to screw it up by overclocking it!
I see there are options for Wireless Card choice, like Dell Wireless™ 1510 802.11a/g/n Draft Mini Card, Intel® WiFi Link 5100 802.11a/g/n Draft Mini Card, Intel® WiFi Link 5300 802.11a/g/n Draft Mini Card. So what's the main difference?
While reviewing my processed order I saw these two choices for the dvd drive..
the 8X slot load super Multi (DL DVD+/-R Drive + RAM Support) and the CD/DVD writer (DVD+/-RW) + Roxio Creator 10
what is the difference between the two? I was able to select the default which was the 8x slot load super multi. I want to both read AND write CD AND DVD and is it also possible to re-write to a DVD RW with the default 8x slot load super multi drive?
I just got confused with the +/-RW, when you mouse-over the 8x slot load super multi it says that it is a DVD +/-RW but in the tick-box selection it is only DVD+/-R
I spotted an Acer Aspire 6935 at a cheaper price which seems to have identical technical specs apart from a slower Hard Drive - 5,400rpm versus 7,200rpm.
I know that the G stands for Gemstone but from the pic available on the retailer's website its difficult to see any significant difference.
Can anyone tell me if there are any other differences between the 2 models? Or - is it purely a matter of cosmetics ? Are the cosmetic differences minor ?
Also - would there be any noticeable difference in performance between a 5,400 rpm HD and a 7,200 rpm HD if the processor and the graphics card are the same ?
I will be using the laptop for general purposes and occasional gaming.
I'm looking for a new laptop (for basic use, nothing fancy) and am having trouble deciding between these two. I'm basically looking at the base models, specifically at, say, these two: this 6920 [url] and a 6930 with these stats [url]
With comparable hardware, is there much difference between the two? I like the keyboard layout on the 6920 better than the 6930 (not a fan of the number pad) but that's mostly aesthetic. Do the two differ much in any significant way? Why is the 6930 a little bit pricier?
I am looking at the differences between the dv3t (which comes with a 9 cell) and the dv4t (12 cell).
With the discount coupon, I can get a model with equal specs for the same price. However, the only difference is the smaller form factor in the dv3t, and the smaller battery. Does the smaller 13" screen for the 9 cell compensate same battery life for the larger 14" screen and the 12 cell?
I browsed through both dell.com and dell small business and I was wondering what was the difference? Am I not allowed to order from dell small business if I'm not a business? Also which ones tend to have better deals if their inventory is same/similar?
I recently had my screen replaced by dell dispatch for my studio XPS 1340. My hinges were loose, instead of replacing just the hinges dell dispatch had replaced the whole screen. My question is can you tell a difference between CCFL and LED. My specs is LED I just want to make sure the technician, replace with the right screen. Is LED thinner than CCFL if so what is the technical spec of thickness between the two. Is there a way to check if you have a 1.3 or 2.0 webcam.
