Acer :: Aspire 2000- Why Cant My Work With A Battery

Acer Aspire 2000. When a battery is inserted and the power cable is in, the charging light appears, I then switch on the laptop and it powers up within 5 seconds of it being on and trying to boot it will power down without notice.
If I remove the battery I can run the laptop fine off the mains. If I then connect the battery it will cause the laptop to power down.
I have tried two other batteries thinking it was a fault with the battery, but this is not the case.
I just wanted to know could it be a setting in the BIOS?
Explanation- Basically, one day after normal operation of my computer, I turned it off properly. The next time i went to turn it on, it comes up with the normal BLUE screen which has "acer aspire" on it. Down the bottom it says f2 to boot or something and f12 to enter setup menu.
If i do not press anything, it goes to a black screen and attempts to locate a boot cd. After it does not find one, it goes black, then up comes the BLUE screen which says "acer aspire" on it. If i do not press anything or touch anything, this process will keep going and going until i turn it off by holding down the on/off power button.
Resolution / what i have attempted to do-I CAN enter setup menu, by pressing f12 on the blue acer aspire screen. Once i am in the setup menu, i attempt to exit. I have attempted to exit the setup menu in all way, incl. disgarding changes, saving changes etc etc. Each time i try to exit the menu a different way, It just goes to a black screen for a few moments, then repeats the process of going back to the blue acer aspire screen. I have attempted to insert a boot cd. So after the blue screen, it goes to the black screen and attempts to find the boot cd. After locating it, it verifies it, says something like "found in drive C" or something similar, then it goes back to the same process.
Question- How the hell can I use my computer again?
Further note- 80% of my data has been saved on an external hard disk so rebooting or any other process is fine by me, I just want to be able to use my computer again. Before attempting all the above processes, I disconnected everything from my computer e.g. all usb devices. I have tried it on batteries and with the power cable.
is i got a new Aspire E3-111 that has 2GB of ram, and i want to put one of my 4GB ram stick into my laptop but it doesnt work, the ram is the same type but it doesnt work. also the laptop freezes up when i play ME3 for more then 1 hour and i have to do a hard restart... i also made a video showing whats going on  [URL]
have bought a new Acer Aspire V5 573G without a system software. Now I want to install Windows 7 home premium 64bit on it but it doesn't work. First of all: Is it generally possible to do this? I tried to install it in the recovery mode but there was an error (something with the GPT Partition) so I switched the Mode to UEFI. I have read in other message boards that I have to switch to UEFI csm (compatibility support mode) but I can't find it.
my problem is that WiFi literally don't work - i can't connect to any network.I'm using Windows 8 Pro.It's a i5 + geforce gt 630M version.When i'm installing an Atheros Drivers, it says that device is disconnected and drivers cannot be installed.
Wi-Fi is totally turned off - I mean the led isn't lightning, blinking or nothing - it's dead.
I can't use Fn + F3, it don't work at all.
I've installed LaunchManager, Fast Lane, Touch Pad and Dritek Rf button.
Now, in Fn + F3 i can turn Airplane mode, nor Wi-Fi.Is there any solution to turn this on? It stopped to work from day to a day - yesterday it works, now it isn't.
Done some formats, it don't even work on Windows 7 with Acer drivers. Maybe card is dead?
MY left shift key only work for certain keys but my right shift key doesn't work at all, i tried OSK and when i click the shift and press the key to shift its ok but when i press my right shift doesnt work  left shift key working keys
All of my headphones work on my other devices, so I know that the problem is not with the headphones themselves. The problem is that when I use my headphones with my laptop, everyone esle around me can hear what I'm listening to. What do I need to do?
I have an Acer Aspire One D250 of 2009 that does not work anymore .. Pressing the power button the computer turns on, the cpu fan starts then stops (as usual) but then nothing happen .. black screen, no error beep, hd stopped, no lights turned on ... I tried to remove ram, hd, battery .. nothing. I decides to change the motherboard and I found one identical new sealed. After installation..same problem !!
I have also already tried turning off and on again the "turn off mouse pad" button that the computer has. And it's only sometimes when I boot up the computer it won't responed, then I have to turn it off and turn it back on again in order for it to work.
I was using the laptop today and my keyboard stopped working. I can't get the keys to work. I am using windows 7 home. I tried restoring my os to a good working point, then ran a virus check in case it may have been a virus.
Just bought an Aspire ES1-511. Not my first Windows 8.1 laptop, but my first with UEIF firmware. Â I've been trying to boot Driveimage from CD to do an offline backup, and guess what, it wouldnt recognise the CD as bootable. Fixed that by setting the boot type to "Legacy" in the BIOS and it boots fine. Â My problem is that the mouse doesnt work after booting from the CD. Watching the behaviour of the mouse, it powers up when I press the power button, but powers off immediately the POST completes. Â If booting Windows from the HD, power to USB is restored as soon as windows loads to the lock screen.
I bought one for a customer, and it's been a nightmare. I've done all of the suggestions and ended up taking it to an authorized repair facility. They "reset" it and said it was fixed. Of course it was not. Acer has to provide a fix as it is their product that does not function correctly.
The Fn+F3 combination on my Acer Aspire One D270 doesn't work. I have wireless internet but the Wi-Fi led is red and I can't turn it on and off. Also the combination Fn+left/right arrow which makes the screen dimmer or brighter doesn't work either. One more thing: does this model have a bluetooth device? I should mention that the OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit.
The right click button does not work on the mouse pad, as well as on a usb mouse. I have used Acer factory recover disks to restore it to out of the box condition. Same issue. If you use control panel to switch buttons then the only thing that happens is the cursor moves no click at all. Also after a period of time letting the computer warm up suddenly the cursor is working but even the left click will not function it will highlight the icon but not allow you to click it. I am wondering is the only solution to replace the motherboard since it appears to be a heat aggravated problem. And before I forget, yes I have replaced the drivers a couple of times clean install as well
My wife's Aspire One 725 went down a couple of months ago with a bad hard drive. Of course, I hadn't maed a recovery USB. I finally ordered one from the Store, and tried it out tonight. I set the boot order to USB HDD, and, well, nothing happens! First, I see a cursor in the top left corner, and then I see the little circle of balls wait indicator, but i never get any other screen! Could I have a bad USB media from ACER?Â
I have a problem with the audio. I reinstal the O.S. because my laptop was working slow, and because the sound did not work properly. Everything affter instalation works fine, just the audio doen't work properly, it sounds...hesitating
I thought the problem was the cpu temperatures... 60º-65º idle, and just open a few windows it reachs at 75º-80º, and stay in this temps.
Notebook Hardware Control, lets make undervolting. So I make some test... and just when the cpu loads at 100% the audio works properly, clean and perfect. If cpu loads under 80% the audio sounds... but defective, not clean...
i have just recently installed windows 7 on my acer aspire 4530 and after installation all are working great except for one, my volume wheel control is no longer working, before i installed windows 7 it was working just fine, don't know if im missing a driver or i forgot to set anything
a problem i've been having, for some reason, the touch pad and keypad on my laptop won't work...i've been stuck using a wireless USB mouse and keyboard set for about 4 days
I have an Acer Aspire 4720z notebook and decided to hook it up to my tv. So I got my 7-pin to composite adapter which came with my video card for my desktop and plugged it in to give it a shot to see if it would work and no go, it just won't detect being connected to the tv. I read the manual and searched online to see if this perticular notebook allowed for s-video to composite or if Acer made one for it themselves, again no go. So I was wondering if anyone has this notebook, or the 4710 or 4720 which I think are identical hardware wise, are able to connect one to it and actually get it working?
it uses a mobile intel 965 express graphics chipset.
Built in mic on my Aspire 5738ZG don't work properly when I use Skype. I'm on windows xp, 32 bit. I installed Audio Realtek drivers from Acer officialy web site but sound of mic is still very low. Other people said that they hear me very bad when we talk on Skype for example. What I can do?
I bought the Aspire R13 just 2 days ago, but the screen visualization doesn't automatically orientate when I rotate the display. I checked the auto rotation on the screen properties and it is on.
The auto rotation was the main reason to choose this new laptop....Could be the sensors do not work properly?

I have a brand new Acer Aspire E1-572G. It has 1TB HDD and with no partitions. So I want to create partitions as I wish, but before that, I would like to know if the recovery option will work if I alter the default HDD structure. Before I have failed with restoring after creating partitions with some other brands.
