View 2 RepliesI have an acer aspire e1-571 g and since last week ,my internet connection (broadband or wireless ,no matter wich i use) drops randomly ..and i can't reconnect untill i restart my laptop..i've tried to change MAC,drop ip,reinstal windows, reinstal drivers of ethernet and wireless,no result.. I'm starting to think that my motherboard is faulty..??
View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought my Acer Aspire E1-57G 2 months ago. U put win7 64bit on him and installed som drivers. All worked fine for some time. 1 week ago my internet slowed down randomly, and only on this notebook.
I googeld a little bit and i decided to go for win 8.1 and original drivers. I installed everything but the problem with WLAN adapter was still there. If i started loading a web page sometimes it loads completely with no problems and everything is fine for some time (5 min) then pages start to loading slow or not at all. And like that all the time.
When I download something it ether downloads "fast" like 500 - 800 kbps or not at all 0kbps. On other notebooks wireless connection is ok, and at the same time when thisone is slow others do well. Win update is not slowing connection (OFF), firewall is ok, power management set to be max for wlan adapter. I tried every solution that i found on the internet.
So what is the problem (is it WLAN adapter) and how to fix it?
I'm having major problems with connecting to the wireless network in the office. It sees the network, allows me to enter the security credentials, then connects (with confimed internet connectivity) but drops out after 10-20 seconds. I have tried the wireless network at a friend's house which worked ok without any interruptions, so it is definitely nothing wrong with the hardware. I'm using a brand new Acer Aspire V3-572-56T3 on Windows 8.1, with all the latest drivers/patches loaded and have tried fiddling with many of the advanced settings for the network adapter to no avail. I logged on to the router to ensure all settings, encryption standards, channels etc. were matching but the problem keeps persisting. This has been ongoing for two days now and is driving me insane as I really need to have wi-fi working in the office. Plugging an ethernet cable straight into the router works fine but it's not the ideal solution (and is posing an OH&S hazard as it is laying on the floor).
FYI I have run diagnostics several times & the one thing that stood out was this:

this all started when I first purchased my laptop (Aspire V3-572G-54S6, Windows 8.1) when it was on sale for a great price in mid-August. I had heard great things about Acer, loved the specs and look, and was excited to get it. It arrived a few days later, took it out of the box and with the first start up my display was messed up. About 1/4 up the screen tear a little and the top of the screen was being duplicated at the bottom........never had that happen before so I got in touch with Acer support chat, I updated video drivers, rebooted, did a complete power drain, etc. The problem persisted so they had me send it in for servicing. I got it back from servicing just about 2 weeks ago, and it was fixed! Or at least it was until this past Wednesday when the problem returned. Now the problem only occurs when I've had it on for 30minutes to 1 hour, as it is fine on start up. The service log/sheet I got back with it said all they did was software updates, updated BIOS, and nothing hardware related.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI own a Z series Z540. After multiple Vista reinstalls and driver reinstalls, the wireless connection always drops. It would maintain connection for about 5 minutes, then it drops again. The wireless light stays on though.
I tried going on XP and ssee how that works out. Same problem, except that it drops when I MOVE it. And when it drops, the wireless light turns off, and when I move it back into a certain position again, the wireless light goes back on, and the wireless is back.
However, when I am on vista, the connection just drops for no reason, even without touching it, every 5 minutes. The light does stay on, though.
I have problem with internet connection. Every 10 minutes or more connection is down and my wi fi network gets limited connection icon.
I bought this laptop few months ago with Windows 8.1. and latest drivers are installed. I tried a lot of things but there is no result...
I have a HP9743CL sitting next to my old 2529Cl and both connect to my home wireless network. Two weeks ago the 9743CL worked fine but now it drops the connection after 4 minutes. I turned off the firewall on the laptop thinking maybe it was blocking something. That didn't help.
I turned off the firewall on the router Westell327W and that didn't help. in the mean time my 2529Cl just keeps plugging along. staying connected. Is there a setting I accidentally changed.
When it dies and I try to have internet explorer fix the problem if comes back with a statement saying my firewall is blocking port 80. Well, now that everything is turned off what is the cause.
I was running zonealarm on the 9743CL and the stock firewall on the Westell327W.
I just got my new x100e laptop today, and i really like it. But, it has a problem.
I am connected to my wireless network at home, and it works properly on my other computers at house. But on the x100e, the connection drops from time to time. Suddenly, the internet is gone, but ten seconds later, the network is back up again.
It's not that big a problem, but it is frustrating to lose the internet from time to time. It happens from every 5 minutes to once 30 minutes.
For a while now the wireless connection on my laptop has been very unstable. I had used it for about six months without experiencing problems, but a month or two ago I started getting very frustated with it.
The wireless can be turned on just fine and has no trouble finding available networks. No problem here. But when I try to connect to one it rarely works, and the few times were it does connect, the internet is incredibly slow. I would say it works flawlessly and fast about 10% of the time. The rest of the time it's like I just explained; it either won't connect or is too slow.
I don't know what suddenly caused this, since it worked perfectly when I bought it. Updating the wireless card drivers didn't work.

View 8 Replies View RelatedOur Insprion 15 laptop initially dropped its WiFi connection (showed "No Internet Access") about 3-4 times when it was first turned on. It hasn''t happened since (3 days in use). Was this just normal - while looking for the right version of 801.1 or what?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just purchased the Ideapad S415 Touch. The wifi connection drops OFTEN. It still shows that it is connected, but there is no internet pages load, email stops working, etc. If I hit "disconnect" on the connection, then hit "connect" again, it works great . . . . for a few more minutes or an hour or whatever. I went into "properties" and changed the settings on roaming and power management per an article I found on this site. I think this may have worked a bit, but it's still happening.

I have Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 installed. I went out to Intel's website and have the most current driver.
I had tried that already, sadly still stale results with no change. Tomorrow I'm planning on buying different HDMI cables to see if it's a hardware issue, I don't want to take my computer in if it's happening to all three (I read somewhere that it may be the cord itself) .....

I searched on Google, made a few changes in settings (FAST STARTUP, etc) but I'm having still the same problem. I have this problem about 2 weeks, and I'm really nervous about it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI own an Acer Aspire R7-572G which has a combined 4-pin 3.5mm headset jack.
I would like to use a normal microphone with an 3.5mm connector. The microphone did not work by directly plugging the connector into the socket, therefore I bought an adapter which splits the 4-pin output into speaker & microphone sockets.
Now the microphone does work properly, however, unless I am connecting external speakers I am not able to use the internal notebook speakers. (maybe because the notebook assumes that a headset is plugged in)
>>> Is there a way to use my external microphone and the internal notebook speakers?
One more thing to mention: If I plug in the cable, a popup on the notebook appears asking which device I just plugged in. Sadly my only three options are "headphones", "speaker output" or "headset". NO MICROPHONE OPTION !!!
I've tried disabling certain services, which seemed to work but only for a little while. Is 5400 rpm's too slow to run Windows 8.1 just because of all the programs and services that run in the background?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a brand new Acer Aspire V3-572G. Its been a bit of a lemon so far, but I will give it the benefit of the doubt for just a while longer as I'm not particularly tech-savvy so perhaps the problem is me. Yesterday the volume icon (on the bar at the bottom of the screen) stopped working altogether. I can press it with the curser and it changes colour in the way it should when you click on something ... BUT nothing comes up ... no sound/volume control thing that I can adjust. I know I can use the Function key and arrows, but that is just fiddly, and for a brand new computer, I expect things to work.

I have a Acer Aspire V5-572G running Windows 8.1 and have found that the microphone jack won't recognise any external mic that is placed into it. It won't detect on the sound option despite the fact all the drivers are updated.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Inspiron 1545 use to randomly shuts down (direct shutdown), I think i was due to over heating because i could feel the bottom of the laptop get really hot, so i started to have the laptop elevated for better air flow, that worked for a little while but then it would have the same problem, i have not cleaned the inside of the laptop or ever opened it, but i plan to do it to see whats going on, i don't think i have a warranty on it anymore so i think will experiment, but before i do that, i wanted to know what could be the cause of this problem, my best guess is i need to clean it or replace the CPU fan.
Also, I left my laptop in the car overnight and i was really cold out, after that night, now the laptop doesn't stay on more than 2 mins.....

I have a new aspire E1-572G that won't shutdown completely over an update to windows 8.1 ... I've Updated the Bios and downloaded the drivers from the support site.
I've done a recovery to default factory settings and tried again......no luck
I installed windows 8.1 after i installed al windows updates.
Just got this Lpatop, popped battery in, plugged it in. I turn it on, keyboard backlight comes on, the fans spin up, nothing comes on the screen. Nothing is coming out of the HDMI port, really frustrated at this point as this is the second Acer laptop i bought that had issues (granted first one was used so I gave Acer a pass).
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy laptop is Acer Aspire E5-572G. Im having problems connecting a Samsung 840 EVO SSD through a 2nd disk caddy.
I mean, it cannot be recognized at all even in BIOS. I am thinking to install new BIOS system , but when searching for it , I don't find anything and I don't want to flash wrong BIOS update.

It is exactly this model , I have entered the serial number I got from Ace's system information software. Any way to recognize the 2nd disk caddy along with the SSD?
I have a new E1-572G laptop. Long story short, I installed Win 7 on it, and after that, Ubuntu 14.10. I had issues with bootloader, but after fiddling around with legacy/UEFI booting, secure boot, and things like that, I almost successfully configured the laptop. When I selected the ubuntu uefi bootmgr in the bios, in secure boot mode, I rebooted the laptop for what I thought the last time, but then it did not go past the Acer logo. Only combination that works is ctrl+alt+delete. If I remove the hdd, then the acer logo flashes for half a second, and a black screen appears, with a static console cursor at the left upper corner.
I searched a lot in the topic, wanted to reset the bios, but there is no jumper for this, nor can I remove the bios battery. I wanted to reflash the bios, but I could not find proper instructions on this.
