Dell Venue 11 Pro :: Picture Password And PIN Not Shown On Login

This applies to my Venue 11 Pro (Atom).
I have set up a PIN but never get the option to use it, I am only ever challenged for my Microsoft Account and password at login
I also set up a picture password but get exactly the same behaviour, i.e.I am ALWAYS challenged for my Microsoft account and password.
I have used this login feature before on my previous Surface 2 but the Venue 11 Pro (fully updated) just will not behave as expected.

I've got a fairly new T440s for which I've set up fingerpringt reading. I was wondering if there'd be an (easy) way to change the picture displayed on the welcome/login screen. I'm not talking about the background, but the icon in the middle that is currently a picture of a fingerprint.Â

I looked around at other threads and they either referred to editing .dll files (above my head a bit) or some picture in "C:Program FilesThinkVantage Fingerprint Software" which is not a directory on my machine. I'm running the latest version of Lenovo Fingerprint Manager Pro, and nothing in the Fingerprint Manager Pro program files looked persipacious.

recently i enrolled fingerprint for windows login, but during the enrolment there is no prompting for Pre-Windows Password. But then, when i want to disabled the fingerprint at Pre-Windows or Windows login, it requested for Pre-Windows password.
what is the default? Pre-Windows login password?
I faced big problem to swipe my finger during booting up the windows (Pre-Windows Login Screen)

Despite the ever-present warnings about ensuring one records passwords, I have recently changed my password and now cannot locate/remember the new one. The computer is an Inspiron 1440 running Windows Vista Home Premium. Is there any way I can reset the password?

I really don't want to tear this laptop down & solder two leads to the 24c02 chip & short them together, even though I am A+ certified & an electronic technician.
This laptop has no service tag, old but worth saving because dim b has a 2gb stick of memory so, somewhere inside there's another & so it should be worth some effort to save.
The bottom line is: whoever designed that chip (24c02) is a genus, now how mush will it cost to unlock it ?Â

I got automatic Windows up date last night. Â After the updates, I can't do anything except turn on the computer, see the HP page, the green log in with password page, then all goes dark blue and freezes. Â It will not even rcognize the keyboard to back out. Â It is an HP Envy 20 all in one desktop. Â I have removed the back, all looks good, everything is secured and in place.

I purchased a Dell Venue 11 on 12/24/13 and received it this past Saturday, the 28th. Â I ordered the $499 version. Â I was very satisfied with the item and found it comparable to the Windows Surface 2 Pro. Â I took my time to install all my apps that I needed and to adjust my security settings so that I could log in remotely to my work servers.
Yesterday while I was doing work on my tablet, I noticed my battery was low. Â So I plugged it in and continued to work. Â However, the tablet turned off on me about 15 minutes later. Â I thought maybe it didn't charge as fast as it pulls energy. Â So I plugged it in to charge while it was off for almost 3 hours. Â It still would not turn back on. Â I was using the Dell charger that came with the tablet. Â I tested the charge with other items that take the mini USB port and it charged them, fine.
In addition to my tablet being a brick, I also ordered the Mobile Keyboard with it. Â I received an email stating that I would not receive the keyboard until the end of January because it is'in production'. Â Very bothersome because had I known this, I wouldn't have even bothered purchasing this item from Dell, altogether.

I am a Macbook owner for about a year now and since I've had it I've had problems with the Login Keychain. When using Safari it asks for me to use the login keychain every few pages. This confuses me as I never set it up in the first place. Also it asks for me to use the login keychain everytime I launch Skype which is a pain in the . The only cause of this I can think of is that my IT department at college thought it would be clever to set up a login keychain before they handed my Macbook over to me and not tell me the password. I've tried my main password to log into my Macbook and its keeps saying the password is invalid. not a massive problem but still would like to get to the bottom of it.

My laptop is Dell ultrabook XPS 13. I've been used it for about 6 months. I don't know when it started to be like this but I've just noticed recently that the battery shown on desktop is never full charged even when it's plugged in for long hours. Last week it's at 41-42% at maximum but now it never reached more than 39% and it seems to be less and less even though I keep it plugged in every time I use it. I'm worried there's something wrong with battery but it said my battery is still fine, but obviously it's not fine.Â

I have a D510 battery that according to the laptop LED is fully charged however upon booting into windows the battery power indicator and the dell quickset indicator show only 84%i have also let the laptop charge the battery while in windows however even when the charge indicator on the laptop is off and the indicator in the taskbar shows running of the mains the charge is again 84%i have tested the battery health using the inbuilt indicator and it is OK, it is only 12 months old but i am aware that degridation takes place, but could this just be a case of windows not reporting the charge correctly and its nothing to worry aboutthe battery lasts between 2-3 hours on average id say thats goodupdated the battery seems to be stuck charging at 88% is that a sign of simple wear and tear?

I just got my lenovo thinkpad edge e420 and after about a month of using it the on screen display for volume, microphone, camera, etc the f buttons has stopped showing up on my screen. I had not updated any drivers or anything i think i may have uninstalled one of the programs for this by accident i am not sure....

I bought lenovo z-50 recently, when i plug in charger it shows white light that's okay.. But there's no other light to show that its fully charged or light turns orange to show its fully charge, something like that..
I'm talking about when laptop is turned off and you're charging.. When its powered on and you're charging then obviously you can see the percentage. Can I do something from the settings or its like that?

Recently I've got an Thinkpad L540 and it's pretty cool.

But I got a problem that when the laptop is booting while a VGA is plugged in, the boot screen (the screen right after when the laptop turns on) will always be shown on the external Display (Projector). I've already checked the BIOS and it is set to "Thinkpad LCD".

I don't know if it'll be fixed with an BIOS update.

I am having white spots on screen. It shows up as a light white spot when the screen has a light background. On a darker screen it totally disappears. The spot is a few mm in size.
My system is lenovo Z50-70. Should i have to replace the screen??

I upgrade my laptop to windows 8.1. But a few drivers were missing after installing those some unknown devices are showing in device manager. Apart from that sound driver works just fine but beats control panel won't open with error shown.Â

I'm using a Dell Latitude E6400 and I'm running the Wave Systems Embassy Security Software for my fingerprint reader.
The problem is that I would like to change the logon (welcome) picture in vista. I have now the Dell Wave default picture, which really sucks! Is there an option to change it, maybe through the registry?

My acer travelmate P645m internet connection is quite bad. It happens quite frequent as well.
When I connect my laptop to wi-fi (my own router and in the library), it always has a yellow triangle exclamation mark all of a sudden. As my phone connects to those wi-fi too, I have checked the internet is still working fine when it happens on my laptop, so I am sure it is my laptop that doesn't connect to the wi-fi stably. I will have to turn off the wi-fi and turn it on again to make sure it has access to the internet.Â
I know it is not a complicated process of turning off and on the wi-fi on my laptop but because I just bought the laptop two months ago, if there is any hardware problem, I would like to fix it within my warranty. Why the internet connection on my laptop is so poor?Â

My Dell XPS 1530 screen wont turn on. I push the power button it goes on then off, but I can hear the system starting but no picture. I have removed the battery unplugged everything and tried again to no avail. I have plugged in a separate monitor and still nothing.

I noticed that one of the best cooling pads here, the ACRyan cooling pad, ain't doing must good for this heat monster, so, I decided to DIY my own cooling device. Note that when I'm at home, I'm outputting my laptop to dual monitors, 20" and 27" Dell monitors, and connecting separate keyboard and mouse to it, speakers as well. AKA a desktop.
Materials:
1. 2 packets ice cream sticks
2. Good pair of scissors
3. White glue (hardens to clear)
4. 6V, 500mA USB Fan
Disclaimer: I'm not planning to type on the laptop while using this device. Due to the hot nature of this laptop, it's meant for cooling it while playing back 1080p movies, and games, while outputting to the monitors.

I've got an XPS M1210 with NVidia GeForce 7400 and since last week all the pictures or videos appear blurry with artifacts, … somehow like watercolor paints or with burn efect pictures.
Other observation: on the Windows locking blue screen (see below picture), instead the clear light blue on upper left corner, I can see something like a sun with round circles around effect .....

I turn on my laptop and there is no picture, the power light comes on, but no picture, it is black screen and then it is beeping continuously. This is all it will do. The battery started not keeping a charge for very long lately, but I am not sure this is what is causing the black screen and beeping. I have tried to remove it for a while and put it back in to no avail.
