I just bought this laptop.. installed win 8.1 and downloaed the drivers from the support page as mentioned in the forum. But i still can't enable crossfire, catalyst center does not show an option, and GPU-z says its available but disabled.Also the memory for R5 graphics shows 0MB in gpuz. but control center shows 512MB..

This is what I did in an Windows environment: downloaded the Bios from the Acer site. I downloaded the 1.13 bios, and ran the Insideflash utility. Don’t know what the differences are between 1.10 and 1.13, but the Windows Eperience Index gave higher rates on the CPU and the GPU parts.
After flashing I filled in a backup name (f.i. c:ackupbios.fd) in the platform.ini file and executed the Insideflash again, but did not flash the Bios this time. After exiting Indsideflash the backup file had appeared on the desired location.
Then I installed Python 2.6.2 for Windows. I copied the vtenbable.py script as well as the backup bios to the Python directory. After that I opened an elevated DOS prompt, went to the Python dir (cd c:python26) and typed “vtenable.py backupbios.fd 8930gvt-bios.fd”.
Finally I copied the 8930gvt-bios.fd to the Insideflash directory, erased the supplied bios file and renamed 8930gvt-bios.fd to KM2_113.fd. Then I executed Insideflash for the last time and flashed.

After I upgraded to 8.1, I've downloaded the latest drivers form IDT i think oct-2013 but i still cant enable my beats, i have the UI for the beats control panel but i cant use the beats as a hardware fn+b is not working anymore!!!?

AHCI is currently disabled on my computer and I wish to enable it to get the most performance out of it. It can easily be enabled via the windows registry but to get it working i need to be sure that AHCI is currently enabled in the BIOS aswell. When I enter the BIOS there just isnt any advanced options available, only time and date and other basics. How do i find out wether or not AHCI is enabled in the BIOS? How do i get access to the advanced options in the BIOS to turn on AHCI (if it isnt already enabled that is)?
I have Windows 7 at the office and it's great OS. I'm looking into options of installing it on my wife's SZ1 XP/C.
Anyone installed this, on any SZ..?

a friend of mine has a DV9620us. I INstalled WIndows 7 Ultimate x64. I got pretty much everything working on it except for 2 things that I cannot remember how to fix.
1. The remote control that comes with it. I installed Wireless Assistant for W7, but it still didn't respond.
2. While I have the quick launch buttons installed, the mute button does not turn amber when muted. It's not a najor issue, but I would like to be able to have his laptop fully working the way he brought it to me (especially since it used to be mine.)
I just had this notebook-pc HP 14-d008au 14 inch and my issues are: When the package brought to me it doesnt have any dvd or cd for all drivers, second the OS is ubuntu when I changed it to Windows 8 some drivers from your website when I run it, it can't be installed. A few days afterward, I had an issue where my speaker icon has a red "x" over it, and when I hover over it it says "no audio output device is installed". The funny thing is that the speakers worked after windows update installed an update, then they stopped a few days later, and I cannot for the life of me get the speakers to work again!
