HP 15-n245ee OS/Software :: SD Card Reader Doesn't Work
Jan 14, 2015Since I got my laptop the reader wasn't working, I am thinking its not installed. Where can I get the software for it? My laptop is HP 15-n245ee.

Acer :: Memory Card Reader Doesn't Work
Dec 13, 2008My memory card reader was fine, however after reinstalling Vista Ultimate it won't work.
It shows up as "Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Integrated FlashMedia Controller" in Device Manager. However I've tried multiple SD cards and it just won't recognize that anything has been inserted. The computer doesn't pause or show any indication that it's doing something when I insert a memory card.
I have a Ferrari 4006WLMi with Windows Vista Ultimate.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers several times already. I have also upgraded to the latest BIOS
I need to use a 4GB SDHC card as RAM via Readyboost...

Feb 8, 2013I upgraded my daughters Inspiron 1520 to Windows 8 and everything works well. The only problem we are having is the memory card reader does not work. Windows 8 recognizes it and shows the action center flag and advises us to install a new driver.. We install the driver R188776.exe, install it, and re-boot, but the memory card reader still doesn't work.. Is there another driver we can install?

Apr 30, 2014I have a EliteBook 8730w sinds 2010 and I just installed Windows 8.1.Now I don't have any access to my SD reader.According to the device manager the SD reader driver is up to date and is working, but I don't see the SD reader in the file explorer.The SD reader is a RICOH.In the device manager I have some problems with Other devices:
1) Base system device
2) Base system device
3) Fingerprint sensor
4) Unknown device
I suppose that the problem must be in Other devices.

Sep 19, 2014I have tried everything to get this SD card reader to work but to no avail. Even a fresh install of W7/32 ... nothing... Every time i insert an SD card in the slot... i get a message. USB device not recognized ... one of the usb devices has malfunctioned & Windows does not recognize it... I am also just using a 2 g SD card not an sdhc card.
In the Device Manager.... it shows up as "unknown device" yellow highlight... try to update the driver ... says i already have the best driver..... when i take the sd card out...unknown device disappears... i have also re-installed the drivers from here for the card reader... but nothing....
Furthermore... it seems to lead to an error code 43 ..

Jul 18, 2014Computer p/n ET831UA#ABA came with WIN XP Home Edition. Label states designed for Windows XP, Windows Vista Capable. I formatted the harddrive and loaded Windows Vista Business 64 bit. I downloaded and installed all drivers that were recommended by HP but my Sound and Audio doesn't work. Neither does my Mass Storage Controller nor my PCI Modem. All were working with the WIN XP.

Mar 22, 2009First off, I know the fingerprint reader is not very secure. But since I have a new XPS 1530 with a built in reader, I want to make sure I can use it because 1) it's under warranty & 2) it's cool.
I've read the readers can be quite flaky so if I decided to actually use it to log onto my computer, I want to make sure I will also always have the option to enter a password instead

Oct 7, 2007just moved to BD+ and my Power DVD 7.3 can't handle it anymore and I'm getting really frustrated with trying to get my blu rays to work. Cyberlink is a terrible company probably run by like 3 guys. The customer support is awful and I can't get anything to work anymore. When I go to "my computer", the sd card does not show up as an available drive. I have tried several cards with no luck. Oct 29, 2009I have a new X240, and the fingerprint logon no longer works after the computer resumes from standby or from a lockscreen (screen saver). I have checked other solutions here and in other sites, namely:
1. unchecking the power option of the fp reader in device manager,
2. and switching the 30-day standby in Lenovo Settings
Neither of those solutions have worked. I have the latest BIOS and FP driver versions. I made sure the the FP was enabled in BIOS, and I even switched the settings to allow internal FP reader only. Still, the FP will only work when I first power on the laptop, but not after resuming from stand-by. I have checked in Device Manager after manually entering the password, and it says that the FP is working properly.
