View 3 RepliesJust recieved a lot of the new Yoga S1 laptops. I have searched the board and found others had this problem but the dates were old. Is there a new patch or fix?
Win 8.1 Enterprise 4gb ram 64 bit
I just bought an ACER E5-771G-54N6 and after 2 days my touchpad just stop working (Win 8.1 , 64-bit). This is obviously a software (driver) issue, and after researching and finding out that a Windows reisntall is the only solution, I find that hard to believe that this can't be fixed through a patch. These type of problems shouldn't be occurring on brand new laptops.

So after the Nvidia and two others (can't remember them) I was prompted up download a new driver that would solve the problem of the scroll randomly not working.
Well they solved the random part but now it's not scrolling at all.
I have a problem with the Lap Top, HDX18-1070
Work on the first day on the Laptop, between 1 hour to 3 hours and then suddenly stop working!
After that, I close the Laptop, and re-operation of the new work between 5 minutes to 15 minutes
Several experiments have tried did not work for me either by the heat there is no final heat
CPU temperature of 36C to 46C
GPU temperature of 45C to 53C
My touchpad doesn't work but the buttons are working fine. It also clicks randomly (not with the left or right mouse buttons) so I have to disable it. I have installed the latest version of the Synaptic driver and the problem still persists. I think only the touchpad is having a problem because when I use a wireless mouse, it works fine.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my DV5T to Windows 7 Professional (x64) and my bluetooth will no longer find devices, it just endlessly searches for a device. The device in question is a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000.
I'm not really sure what to do at this point. The driver is updated. Bluetooth is on in services.msc. The mouse is in connect mode. Yet still can't be found.
dv6000 touchpad not recognized by driver. Also blue led always on and not effected by pushing on/off button. Had replaced motherboard due to failure just before this. All else works fine including usb mouse.

I just bought a studio xps 1647 from best buy and today the usb ports stopped working. They could not see multiple jump drives I inserted.
Is this a win 7 flaw or is something wrong with my laptop? It was in sleep earlier. My theory is that the laptop just didn't wake the ports coming out of sleep mode. I'm contemplating returning the laptop for another.
I have an Acer 5100, and my Keyboard, and Mouse stop working.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a wireless mouse and printer plugged into the USB ports of my docking station and generally have no issues with them functioning. However, when I take my laptop off the docking station and then return it to the docking station, the laptop no longer recognizes the keyboard and also says that the printer is not connected. Once I restart they both work. I have also tried to unplug the wireless receiver for my keyboard from the docking station and plug into the laptop, but it still does not work without reboot.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am one of the lucky ones who just got the X1 Carbon Touch (after a 2 month wait).
Touch screen is VERY spotty. Will just stop working. All the time. Even in the middle of gestures.
I found that by going to the upper right corner touch will start working again, and then it'll stop moments later in the middle of an activity.
This is Windows 8, of course. I have used plenty of other Windows 8 devices so I'm not a novice. I have never seen this behavior. Is this a driver problem? A setting I don't know about (some special Lenovo thing?). I am hoping its not hardware. The fact that touching the upper right corner enables things for awhile seems to indicate its not hardware but not certain.
I recently went on a plane trip back home and I am having major issues with wifi connection in my family's house.
They have AT&T router/modem (combo?) and no one else in the house has any issues connecting with it.
What happens is I can connect and browse for a couple minutes or so, but sporadically, the internet will just stop working (not the wifi, it still shows my connection exists). I just won't be able to browse or make use of the internet at all!
I wonder if I might have banged it up or something on the plane ride? Since other laptops in the household are not having wifi issues, I am lead to believe it is just me.
Since updating to ThinkPad Bluetooth software 6.5.1.2700 on July 28, 2012, my ThinkPad Bluetooth mouse will stop working after using it for several hours. Disabling power management in Bluetooth does not seem to solve the problem. Please provide a download link to the prior version of ThinkPad Bluetooth software until this issue is resolved.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a 3444-CUU that I really love. When I first got it I realised the wireless adapter would just randomly stop working. I updated every possible driver and I'm still having the same issues. All I can do is reset the adapter to get it kicking again. I'm not sure if the wifi care is soldered or if it could be removed or replaced but I'm really leaning towards it being a hardware issue.
It'll either stop working could turkey, won't detect any wireless networks or it'll stop working and I can still view other wireless networks but I cannot connect to them. Resetting the adapter is the only option. As I'm writing this right now the wireless has gone out again. So I have to reset the adapter for 5-10 more minutes of internet just so that I can post this.
Pavilion dv5t-2100 CTO Windows 7 64bit. Apparently fix requires downloading correct software/driver for intel chipset. Problem is how to identify the chipset. Intel does not provide utility to ID the chipset for W7 64 bit! Catch 22? What do I do?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have VGN-Z620D running Vista, and there is a problem with the touchpad. Sometimes when the laptop wakes up from sleep, the touchpad stops responding completely. It does not happen always but still often enough to be annoying. After a restart, the touchpad works properly again.
