HP Elitebook 8560p OS/Software :: Driver ACPIHPQ0004 On Laptop?
Jul 29, 2014
I have an unknown driver ACPIHPQ0004 I need fixed. Laptop model is HP Elitebook 8560p. download HP 3D drive guard. However, this is already installed and the issue is still persisting.
I bought my Elitebook 8560p a few weeks back off of a friend. Wiped the entire laptop clean and installed a new OS (Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit). I thought I installed all the drivers, but the device manager says im still missing a "Base System Device" driver.
I have a problem with my wifi. The button is always appearing orange, and nothing happens when I press it: no errors, no messages, no reaction at all. Therefore I cannot use wifi connection.
The laptop is kinda new: I am using it for only 2 months.
1. Product Name and Number HP EliteBook 8560pНР LQ589AW
2. Operating System installed (if applicable) Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
3. Error message (if any) No error messages
4. Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred
My windows crashed and I recovered it from the archive created a couple days prior to that. Archive included all hard drives data, so system was restored exactly as it was prior to the crash. I am still not sure if this caused the problem (or if the problem appeared after that): it happened a month ago, and I didn't have WiFi available back then, and only tried to turn it on a couple days ago.
Additional details: In device manager wireless card is showing up as working normally. In adapter management wireless connection is turned on but says "no connection available". If I run the diagnostics, it asks me to turn on WIFI with a button on my laptop, which I cannot do. In mobility center it says "wireless connection is turned off". Turn on button is gray, and impossible to click on.
Things I already tried: Reinstalled all HP drivers from the original CD;Removed WiFi card in windows device manager (deleted the device), restarted windows, installed new drivers for it, restarted again;Checked mobility center as was suggested in one of the threads found on this forum;Made a hard reset for HP laptop (removed battery, pressed on/off button for full minute).
I have a HP Elitebook 8440p Notebook PC with Windows 7, 64 bit. I had to reinstall Windows 7 and all the necessary drivers. My remaining issue is the Missing Base System Driver. The message I get from Device Manager is:
PC1 bus 68, device 6, function 2. The driver for this device are not installed (Code 28).
I need to find a working AHCI driver (Windows XP) for my Elitebook 8570p. I want do use both Windows 7 and XP on it but I can't install windows XP while in AHCI mode. I've tried to use the driver posted in here: [URL] ..... but that did not work for me. I just get bluescreen when I try to install, I've tried all 4 verisions of the driver but none works. I boot on the dvd and press f6 to add the driver before the installation but I need some other driver......
HP Elitebook 8460p - is there any other way to enable the wireless on an HP laptop? I've checked the settings, bios and also made sure the wireless card installed in the laptop works. Drivers are installed correctly. When troubleshooting, it comes up with "turn on the wireless". Nothing happens when pressing the button. It stays amber.
I just received a Elitebook 1040 G1 running win7 64-bit and have been installing all the necessary things that i'm going to need for everyday use. Out of curiosity i wanted to get the fingerprint reader set up just to have that as an option if i wanted. After installing Digital persona and the validity driver numerous times to try and troubleshoot this, my laptop still will not recognize the fingerprint reader.
Steps taken: Uninstalled and reinstalled validity drivers multiple times Uninstalled and reinstalled digital persona(plus updates) Checked to see if the biometrics are in device manager and recognized by the machine;which they are
Can you install ATI Leaked Driver for laptop with your Sony laptop? ATI will release drivers for laptops in the near future but Sony has asked ATI not to include Sony with it.
I have a Sony Vaio VGN-FS93S laptop. It is about 4-5 years old. I bought it in Thailand so I think it is a Sony Asian region model.
I installed Windows 7 on it today without any problems. It runs fine, but I am having some driver problems as expected. Even though there are a couple of red lights in the Device Manager, all my hardware is working fine except for the wireless network card. I dont mind the errors in the Device Manager as long as everything works somehow. But I also cant get the function keys working on the laptop, which I would like to have working too.
I called Sony in Thailand and they said the laptop is too old so Sony wont be supporting it with new drivers for Windows 7.
Are there any Windows 7 drivers from other Vaio models which might be compatible with my laptop?
I have a problem of finding the Software driver for my HP Laptop (model number: HP G62-b20sg). I tried installing all the drivers from HP website but it didn't work ...
I am trying to install windows xp sp3 on a hp laptop 2000-2c17cl in legacy mode. Unfortunately xp will not detect the hard drive without the correct SATA drivers without blue screening ( even in legacy boot specified in the bios. ) I cannot find the corect drivers for this laptops hard drive
My Laptop HP Pavilion has a verry annoying Problem . In My Windows 8 (64 bit) Action center i have this massage :
it said that the bluetooth driver isn't installed although i've installed " Ralink Bluetooth Software Driver " , But was no new !! This is device manager after installing it :
there is no bluetooth driver installed !!

Note That :
- at first , all mentioned above occured but bluetooth was working ( sanding & Recieving ) .. But now all the above occured in addition , bluetooth went out and no longer working.
- i've tried "hp Support Assistant" for updating my devices and it can't detect that bluetooth isn't installed.
- you can see in the picture of device manager an " Unknown Device" and when i tried automatic online search for device , there is nothing !!
-In The action Center Notification there is another issue that " hotkey utility key not installed " .
As the title says, there is no driver available for the keyboard/touchpad on this laptop. There is no way to adjust the current touchpad settings. I've followed all the troubleshooting steps for Windows 8.1, but this model simply lacks a Dell Touchpad interface or any settings to change gestures or scrolling speeds and sensitivity. None of the usual gestures even work, not even pinch-zoom.
This wouldn't be a big deal if there were a driver available to fix the issue, but there isn't - this model does not have a input driver available at all. All that is provided is an ancient Mouse Properties thing that seems designed for a wired mouse and some ETDWare SmartTouch thing that does nothing at all as far as I can tell. The literature for this model claims that the laptop has " a roomy, gesture-enabled precision touchpad, [which can] zoom, click and point with impressive accuracy and speed." Well the gestures consist of two finger scrolling and nothing else, and there is no zoom, not to mention any other gestures, and accuracy and speed tend to rely on users tweaking things to their own unique preferences (impossible as it is).
All this is to say, is Dell working on getting an input driver for this model? Is there an update in the works? Is there some other method available to remedy this unfortunate failing of an otherwise pretty nice machine? If I don't hear back in a week or so, I'm just going to return this and buy a different brand.
I recently changed from Vista to XP and I have attempted to get all the drivers updated to suit XP however I cannot find the right driver to activate WI FI on this laptop.
I recently installed Windows 8, and I am trying to get the latest Dell drivers for Windows 8. I can download the Alps_Touchpad_W8_X02_A01_Setup-CXWXW_ZPE driver, but when running the exe it fails to extract the files. All I get is in the extracted C:DellDriversCXWXW folder is a Version.txt file. There is a popup that then asks if I would like to run in compatibility mode, but doing that does not work either. Also, running as administrator does not work.

Is there a possible solution to stop this happening?
I have HP Envy dv6 7200t laptop which I purchased directly from HP.
In the speifications I requested a special graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M with 2 GB dedicated ram.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit in English.
Now I didn't have much use for such a graphic card until today - I installed a game and it pointed out my graphic card sucks and the game won't run smoothly on it - it said my graphic card is Intel HD Graphics 4000.
I checked the device manager and found out 2 graphic drivers - for both of the listed graphic cards.
both of them are up-to-date (I made sure about the second one from nvidia control panel, and even reinstalled it just incase)
Assumptions:
I am not much of a hardware expert but I assume I do have 2 graphic card - internal on the motherboard (intel) and external (GeForce) - And if thats the case, somehow Windows chooses to use Intel instead of GeForce.
I also made sure of it by disabling the Intel HD Graphics 4000 from the Device Manager and my screen went black - I guess its safe to assume that indeed the intel driver is the one in use.
I am not able to install the Wide Wireless Lan Driver64 in my Lenovo B460 laptop which is running with Win 7 64 bit ultimate version. When i installed the avialable drivers fro lenovo site,it showed No matched driver error showing.
I wanted to upgrade my ram in my 6930p Right now I have to temp ram 2gb 667mhz. I want to upgrade to a 800mhz but I don't know how much I should get I wanted 8gb but I'm not going to play much hard core games so this might be to much.
What do you consider to be the best overall memory needed for games and App.
I'm really impressed with this computer (HP EB 2530p) but read in the review that the fan tends to get loud and that it get's fairly hot.
Exactly how loud does the fan get? I'm a student and I dont want to sit in a room with 200 other students looking at me and my loud laptop hehe. Is it really noticable/annoying when under medium load (word/excel + youtube perhaps)?
Also regarding these temperatures, does it get uncomfortably hot should you sit with it in your lap for an hour or 2?
I'm not sure if I beef up all the "cons" because I'm so picky, but if I am, please tell me to wake up :-)
