I got HP G62. It is working properly with anything but when I start any Video, after aprox 5-10 minute screen going off. I was thinking it is problem due to system fan is not working properly but I replaced System Fan. But still same problem.
View 3 RepliesI have an HP touchsmart 15, it's fairly new; about two weeks old and the operating system is windows 8. So maybe after a day or two there has been a green screen appearing instead of video. I used to be able to restart the computer and it'd be fine for a while, then it became more freqent. Now no matter whether I restart my computer or I'm just starting it up the screen will be green whether it be youtube or skype. This is also happening with my sister's computer and it is the same type. My roomate, who does not have the touch version does not have any problems with her laptop.

At that time, I was able to get to the login screen and right after I logged in, the screen started blinking at a constant rate (about evey second). To fix this, I booted to the Startup Menu (hit ESC after power on) and got the text based menu. From there I could get to the nice little graphical Windows Startup Options Menus. I used that to do system restore back to July and this seemed to work for a couple weeks.Now when I start the laptop, it quickly goes to a screen full of little dots all over and I can't see anything. I was able to get the text based statup menu that listed (system info, sys diags, ..., Starup menu). But when I tried to get the graphics based menus, it immediately when to the screen with dots so I could not do any of the recovery or start up options (like safe mode).

I should like to connect my old hp2710p to TV via HDMI. So I connect the displayport of the docking with an hdmi adpater but it doesn't work.
If I connect my hp2760p, everything goes.

I am having problems connecting an external monitor, Dell 2709W, to my Elitebook 820 G1.
I have an Intel HD 4400 graphics solution. The monitor says:
Out of range signal
Cannot display this video mode
change computer display input to 1920 x 1200 @ 60Hz.
I use a Display Port cable for the connection.
My OS is Win 8.1 64bit
I have used the HP support assistant to update all hardware drivers...
Acer 5920g with 8600m gt 2gb vista.
Many full screen games go black after an unkown period of time.
The game freezes and will not recover, background music can still be heard. The ! tray icon tells me display has had an error and recovered.
Happens with Crysis, Assassins Creed, and Mass Effect.
Regular use, applications, COD4MP and older games are unaffected.
I initially was under the impression that this was due to TMM looking for alternate displays, but it since has been disabled.
This was happening with released drivers, updated to 177.92 and the issue was not resolved.
It is unpredictable, games run smooth until crash. Temp is usually kind of warm but nothing extreme, low/mid 60c at time of crash.
i turned on my laptop and the screen had a horizontal line splitting into mirror images. it also has monochromatic horizontal lines all over the display. sometimes it will boot windows, sometimes it wont. i get an error saying windows cannot start do i want to start windows repair. it usually doesn't work and i end up going with the factory image restore.
i've gotten back to running windows and i've updated drivers, updated the bios, and nothing seems to stick. i've had it working perfectly (perfect display on the screen), but it seems after i did a windows update and it rebooted that it stopped working again. split screen, lines, the works.
i took apart the lcd screen to ensure all the cables were attached and they seem to be ok. i hooked it up to an external monitor and i didn't get the split screen mirror image, but i did get the monochromatic horizontal lines over the display. i can still use windows and the internet and everything.. it's just really hard on the eyes.
also, if it's the video card i know that most are integrated into the motherboard. mine is the nvidia geforce 8400m gs.. please tell me i can replace these independently.
I had purchased a new Laptop ModelNo.HP 15-d002tx with NVIDIA GeForce 820M DDR3 1GB Dedicated Video Memory.
Despite successful installation of all necessary drivers I still could not see the Dedicated Video Memory being displayed as 1GB.
The latest Graphics Drivers installed are Intel HD Graphics 4000 Version- 10.18.10.3621 and NVIDIA GeForce 820M Version-9.18.13.3788. My Operating Sytem is Windows 8.1.
Recently 2 weeks back I have bought HP 15-R074TU laptop free dos. I have installed windows7 64 bit. And other required softwares, I have problems with audio which is very low. Today, I tried connecting an external display to my HP ENVY TouchSmart 15 laptop, via a USB hub, only to discover that using the touch screen points at the corresponding part of the external display rather than the inbuilt one (the displays are being extended). Can this be changed?

for some reason the on screen display meter for my volume when pressing on the keyboard suddenly disappeared, I would like to get this back. I am able to run an HDMI cable to my TV and it seems to be running fine other than going black with the occasional distorted picture of windows booting.

View 6 Replies View RelatedHave used my HP 2000 laptop many times to connect to a big screen TV using the VGA output jack and hook it to the VGA input of my big screen. Now, for some reason, there is no video output to the big screen, I have tried 3 different cords (VGA to VGA) and get nothing on two, and on the third I get a video transfer but it blinks off and on both on the monitor of the laptop and my big screen with only about 1/2 of a picture showing on both. When it did this, I tried repositioning the output jack on the computer output and it changed the picture somewhat, but could never get it to work.

Everything appears to be working fine in my win 7 installation with the exception of the video. If I install any video driver then the LCD display dim's down to <50% of its normal brightness compared to just vanilla VGA drivers. External monitor works fine.
I initially went with the official NVIDIA 186.03 driver, and this exhibited the dimming effect. I have since tried all manner of other video driver versions including laptop2go, etc and none of them work. Even had my first win7 BSOD when I installed Dell's latest Vista x64 driver .....

The problem is that while watching online video(youtube) through the web browsers, first of all the video playing smoothly, but after a few seconds, the video stops a while, and then continue play but the video is freeze while the audio works fine, then it completely stops. I have smooth Internet connectivity, i have checked all the flash player on browsers, drivers are updated, except for Intel HD Graphics, current version is 10.18.10.3304 , while the newest version is 15.33.18.64.3496 (10.18.10.3496) 140mb, after downloaded and run, it says that my OS does not match.
