Mar 30, 2014I have a HP pavilion 15 laptop, 64-bit, windows8.1, i7, intel hd graphics 4400, Geforce gt 740m. The problem is that while watching online video(youtube) through the web browsers, first of all the video playing smoothly, but after a few seconds, the video stops a while, and then continue play but the video is freeze while the audio works fine, then it completely stops. I have smooth Internet connectivity, i have checked all the flash player on browsers, drivers are updated, except for Intel HD Graphics, current version is 10.18.10.3304 , while the newest version is 15.33.18.64.3496 (10.18.10.3496) 140mb, after downloaded and run, it says that my OS does not match.

Sep 7, 2009I found my old HI8 Video camera a while back & just found an Adpator at FRY's the will charge my old out dated batteries.
So I figure its time to start shooting some video again with it. on HI8.
But wonder what might be involved with pluging in my older video cameras RCA cables into my Mac & making it all download to my I-Movie or whatever I have to do?
Do I just plug it in with an adaptor & go? Or do I need some sort of program?

Jun 21, 2014My tv tuner INTEX IT-TV 150 FM plays only audio. The screen turns totaly white with no video signal. When calling the supporting staff at INTEX, they told me to install HP Pavilion dv4 video driver. Could this be the solution? If so, where could I find the video driver?

But at the same time video taken by the camera is perfect. So how do you think, is it software or hardware problem?
I've already tried refresh drivers, update what was possible to update, but still no imrovement, I still want avoid sending the computer to the service. It looks like some part of the image (bottom) is paste in the middle. Looks like codecs problem???
But now I'm not sure if it is only software problem or may be some how hardware (video is recorded is fine)..

Jun 23, 2014My current problem is that when switching from the mobile power-saving GPU I lose the backlight on my screen when the high performance GPU kicks in. The HDMI output is displaying video when in High Performance, but the screen of the laptop will only show a picture with no backlight, and can only be seen by shining a light on the screen.
Just started happening the last few days, I've tried a system restore (didn't allow it), tried uninstalling all of the AMD drivers and software then reinstalling with their updated drivers, as well as the same process but with the HP drivers that came with the laptop, still the same result.Is it possible for the high performance GPU to be failing some how or is this a software issue?

Apr 25, 2010I bought a miniDisplay Port to HDMI and 3 HDMI Cables and a HDMI splitter from seller mambate on eBay. Surprisingly it was all really good quality, the audio works well, I wish I had a surround sound system to test it on but I use optical audio for HT. So my Hanns G 28 Monitor is really the only thing I could test it on, and it works.
The Splitter comes wit a remote too which I thought was cool.

Funny side note, the MBP quicktime plays better 1080p vids on the HannsG dont know why. either way plex is the best program for videos.

Aug 11, 2014I have an HP Pavillion g6 and the sound is not working at all. I tried troubleshooting the audio playback and then it started working. Then i realized only the system sounds started working.
When i play a video or any audio on my browser (Google Chrome and Internet Explorer) it does not work, but when i play a video/audio downloaded onto the pc, it works. Why is that?
I checked all my browser settings aswell and nothing is wrong.

I use a Display Port cable for the connection.

Oct 1, 2009the volume button,next to the volume slider on my laptop stopped working. After checking postings that I found, was able to resolve the volume on/off issue, by shutting down the PC,unplug and take the battery out and put it back in. I still cannot get the volume slider to work! I can go into the sound mixer and control the volume,but it would be nice to make it work again. I had this problem with the original OS (Vista) and have upgraded to 7 Ultimate and it still continues.

Apr 25, 2013I have an HP Envy 14-1111 nr notebook with Windows 7, and I have always had problems with microphones working. I plug in my headset and put the plugs into the correct ports, including putting the Mic plug into the port with a picture of a headset/mic. I also put the audio plug into the correct port.
The audio always works fine- I can hear things properly coming from the headphones. But the mic NEVER WORKS. I've made sure that the mic is enabled, and I've set the headset mic as the default recording device, and made sure it's not muted, and even tried like 3 different types of headsets, but it still doesn't work.
My computer recognizes that my headset has a mic when I plug it in, because the independent headset microphone pops up on my recording devices. But no matter how much noise I make into the mic, my computer doesn't recognize any of it. It is basically saying that it can't detect any sound from the mic.

Jun 20, 2014After I got my laptop, HP Envy 15 j000eb, back from the computer store where they put a new keyboard in it (spilled soup), I found that I cannot longer use my headphones: when I put my headphones into the audio jack, the sound keeps coming from the laptop speakers, and nothing is heard coming from the headphones (tried with several headphones, they work fine on other computers).
I updated the audio driver with a download found on the hp site [URL] but the problem stayed the same.
My audio worked just fine until before I gave my laptop in for reparation.
